The objective of this paper is to analyse the possibility to use the Grey-TOPSIS method to assess the occupational risk management (ORM), in the situation whereby linguistic variables were used in the assessment process. The TOPSIS method has already been in use for a number of years to assess alternative solutions in many areas other than the work safety area. This paper remedies some shortcomings in using the Grey Systems Theory (GST) in ORM, and constitutes an original application of Grey-TOPSIS in the work safety area. Considering that assessment of the ORM process involves estimation of performance particular components of this process, the eight sub-processes were adopted for assessment purposes. The degree of fulfilment of a given sub-processes was assigned a respective verbal grade from Completely Wrong to Perfect. In performing this assessment, systems being in place in four furniture-manufacturing companies were selected to minimise impacts of external factors upon the ORM in these companies. By using the Grey-TOPSIS method, it was possible to rank these companies from the point of view of functioning of the ORM process, and to identify the best and the weakest company in this respect. Further research work should be conducted with the aim to develop some new hybrid, multi-criterion assessment methods, which will develop within the frameworks of the GST.

AbstractOccupational health and safety (OHS) management is a cycle of decision-making processes, many of which are in fact multi-criterion processes in nature. Therefore, it is important to look for and develop tools to support decision-makers in their actions aimed at improving work safety levels. The objective of this paper is to propose and verify the fuzzy TOPSIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method applied to compare and assess the ways OHS management systems function in different companies. The fuzzy TOPSIS method has already been used for a number of years in assessments of alternative solutions in many different areas, but the application that uses ordered fuzzy numbers is quite original in nature. It is especially beneficial to use the fuzzy approach in OHS management systems, as it makes it possible for experts to assess different criteria using most frequently used linguistic variables. The adopted approach was verified in the study of OHS management systems in four furniture manufacturing companies. Assessment criteria were requirements of the PN-N 18001: 2004 Standard. Thanks to the ordered fuzzy TOPSIS method, the analysed OHS management systems were streamlined from the point of view of 24 assessment criteria, and the best and the worst functioning system was identified. The approach presented here may constitute a significant tool for improving OHS management systems.

Paper describes possibilities of automatization of risk assessment process on technological workshops from work safety and health protection point of view. Proposed computer system could unload members of reviewing team from routine and repeating activities which are applied in process of risk identification and assessment of observed workplaces. Paper characterizes possibilities of work within form for application of Complex method of risk management on workshops. Developed system represents active part of systematic approach in frame of complex risk management.

Despite wide legislation basis of regulating relations in work safety and workers’ health, one third of workplaces demonstrate exceeded allowable normal levels of workers’ exposure to occupational hazards and present occupational risk for health disorders.In accordance to national legislation acts, evaluation should cover factors of occupational environment and working process, and occupational risk is understood in context of mandatory social insurance. This approach has been formed due to mostly compensatory trend in legal principles of work safety in Russia by now. Implementation of new preventive concept of work safety, based on idea of risk management for workers, necessitates development of legal acts that regulate requirements to evaluation of occupational risk and its reports with consideration of changes in Federal Law on 30 March 1999 №52 FZ “On sanitary epidemiologic well-being of population”.Those acts can include Sanitary Rules and Regulations “Evaluation of occupational risk for workers’ health”, that will contain main principles of risk assessment, requirements to risk assessment, including its characteristics which can serve as a basis of categorizing the risk levels with acceptability.To standardize requirements for informing a worker on the occupational risk, the expediency is specification of sanitary rules “Notifying a worker on occupational risk”. These rules should contain requirements: to a source of data on occupational risk level at workplace, to informational content and to ways of notifying the worker. Specification and implementation of the stated documents enable to fulfil legal requirements completely on work safety — that will provide preservation and increase of efficiency in using work resources.

In this article, the authors have identified the main causes of industrial injuries, which will allow implementing an effective set of measures aimed at reducing and preventing accidents at work. The analysis of the causes and circumstances of industrial injuries is carried out on the basis of the classifier of the causes of an accident associated with work. The determination of the optimal corrective measures to reduce industrial injuries is carried out on the basis of their choice from the classifier of measures in accordance with the efficiency criteria. For each case of industrial injuries, a set of measures is drawn up to improve the quality of life and health of the company's employees. The article was prepared based on the results of research work on the topic: "Development of scientific and methodological foundations for ensuring safe work in priority sectors of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (IRN 61897 / PCF-MLSPP RK-OT-20).

The article considers the manifestations of the phenomenon of economic risk in the socioeconomic ecosystems of industrial enterprises, examines and differentiates the pragmatic and cultural aspects of the concept of "economic risk management". In terms of methodology, the study is based on the operational theory of risk management, and also uses tools to describe the organizational culture of risk management. Pragmatic and cultural differences in the characteristics of economic risk are identified at the level of stable forms of management activity with the involvement of the main provisions of the operational theory of risk management. The phenomenon of risk is considered in the ontological space as an artificial category of activity of industrial enterprises and other economic agents that form a socio-economic ecosystem. This phenomenon is studied as a specific form of social communication associated with the desire to assess the uncertain future in the present time, mainly from the point of view of analysis and management of the level of economic risk in the enterprise.

Research purposes were determined the effect of company size, management ownership, profitability, and leverage on risk management disclosures in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. The research type is a quantitative descriptive. The research population is manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Determination of the sample used purposive sampling technique. The data collection method used the documentation method. The data analysis technique used statistical analysis, namely multiple linear test, F test, and t test. The results how that 1) company size has a positive and significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018; 2) managerial ownership has no significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2016-2018; 3) profitability has no significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018; 4) Laverage has a significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2016-2018; and 5) Company size, managerial ownership, profitability, and leverage simultaneously have a significant effect on the risk management disclosure of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018. Recently, the maturity models for risk management are attracting growing attention. The obtained maturity level defines an assessment of an organization’s management competence. Therefore, as a set of various tools and practices, the maturity model is critical for a company’s overall risk maintenance strategy development and implementation. Thus, the purpose of this article is to present a model for risk management maturity for logistic processes. We investigated the main defined assessment areas for risk maturity model implementation in logistic systems. Based on research findings, we introduced a new risk maturity assessment area based on participation in the supply chain—cooperation at risk. The proposed model constitutes the base for a two-stage assessment method implementation, where the global maturity index is introduced. Finally, we implement the proposed two-stage assessment method to verify the proposed model’s diagnostic function and determine its labor intensity. The study confirmed that the five defined maturity areas (knowledge, risk assessment, process risk management, cooperation at risk, and risk monitoring) provide a complex diagnostic tool for risk maturity level identification and, based on the obtained results, allows to define an appropriate development strategy for a given decision-making environment.
