Entrepreneurial capacity building is one of the important strategies to boost economic growth in general and solve unemployment problems in particular. Governments across the world have taken wider initiatives to encourage entrepreneurship among younger generations. Oman has never been an exception to this phenomenon. It has introduced several initiative and programs to promote entrepreneurship in the Country. One of the important initiatives to promote entrepreneurship came in the year 2015 when the Oman Ministry of Higher Education made it mandatory for all the higher education institution (HEIs) in the Country to introduce a course on Entrepreneurship across all their academic programs. Since the academic year 2015-2016, all the HEIs in the country have been training all their students in entrepreneurship as a national requirement. In this background, the purpose of this paper is to report the effects of entrepreneurship education, which is a national initiative, on the students’ entrepreneurial intention at the Country’s second biggest university, the University of Nizwa. One full cohort of students (N=349) who registered for the University required Entrepreneurship course (MNGT100) at the University of Nizwa, for Fall 2019-2020 Semester was surveyed. The findings show that the entrepreneurial education can positively influence the entrepreneurial intentions of the students. The findings have academic as well as policy implications as strengthening and enhancing entrepreneurship education will further enhance the students’ entrepreneurial intentions.

The entrepreneurship education has been recognized very important which helps students to understand and foster entrepreneurial intention and attitude. The purpose of the present study is to examine entrepreneurship education and associated entrepreneurial intentions of students of public and private universities of Bangladesh. Few empirical studies done in Bangladesh have examined the entrepreneurial intentions of the university students. This study will fill the research gap in this respect. This study implies that university role, types of course programs influence attitude and intention and elevates the chances that students would eventually choose an entrepreneurial career. The findings of this study have policy implications in inducing more university graduates to start their own businesses.

Purpose Considering entrepreneurship education (EE) theory as a base, this paper aims to examine the impact of EE upon building entrepreneurial intentions. In addition, it investigates the impact of student’s age, gender and degree or course background in developing students entrepreneurial intentions. Design/methodology/approach A sample of 309 student respondents from higher education institution (HEI’s) was used to understand the relationship and its impact over intention building. Regression and ANOVA technique was used to understand the cause and effect as well as mean differences between the construct. Findings The results signify a positive impact of EE for stimulating the start-up intention in these interdisciplinary students of HEIs. These results resemble the existing studies in this endeavour. Findings also verify that individual intention to start a new business in terms of the theory of planned behaviour (attitude, perceived behavioural control and social norms), student background (gender and degree specialization) are positively related to individual intention to start a new business. Research limitations/implications The results confirm previous studies in this field and highlight the need for EE in HEI. The paper highlights the vitality for EE for India’s start-up growth. Originality/value This study adds to the paucity of research on EE and its impact on entrepreneurial intentions in higher education institutions in India.

Entrepreneurship ecosystem development is new concept to support entrepreneurship education in higher education institution. The objective of this research is to analyze the relevance between entrepreneurship education and university environment to encoura ge student entrepreneurial intention in higher education institution. Higher education institution is university or higher institution in West Java, Indonesia, that have business faculty or entrepreneurship subject in their study of program, also supportin g by conducive environment that liven up entrepreneurial activity. The population of the research are students in University/Institution in surrounding West Java Area that already learned entrepreneurship subject and operated business simulation in real wo rld. Quantitative method by survey is used for this research. Data collection is using questionnaire with likert scale 1 - 7. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is use to analyze data to justify the significancy of the model. The novelty of this research is to see the relationship between entrepreneurial education and campus environment toward student entrepreneurial motivation and intention as one holistic system that influence each other. Also, the results of this research can be used to development repreneurial higher education institution ecosystem model in Indonesia

Purpose: The aim of this study to highlight the role of entrepreneurial culture in the relationship between entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial intentions at higher education institutions as study variables. This study could play a vital role in guiding students to choose entrepreneurship as a career by encouraging them. Methodology: A scoping review method was used to identify critical evidence in the reviewed relationships between the three above mentioned variables, which are: entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial culture, and entrepreneurial intention. By using the scoping review method, the authors analyzed articles from Scopus and Web of Science databases published from the year 2003 to 2019, in which 52 relevant articles out of 105 related published articles were identified using Mendeley software to filter these articles.  Main Findings: The results show that there was a significant positive relationship between entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial culture, and entrepreneurial intention when the entrepreneurial culture was inculcated in entrepreneurship education activities at higher education institutions. This study shows that the most used theory is the Theory of Planned Behavior, in which most studies were done on the level of universities, and a significant volume of reviews have been carried out in developed countries. Application of This study: The cultivation of entrepreneurial competencies is heavily influenced by the prevailing culture, which is usually strengthened through education and directed by individual entrepreneurial intention along with the role of entrepreneurial culture. Hence, this could be useful for developing and economies in transition countries that might face high unemployment rates to focus on these variables in comparison to developed countries. Novelty: This study highlights and further proposes the mediation role of entrepreneurial culture in entrepreneurship education - entrepreneurial intention relationship based on the outcomes of the scoping review. Indeed, this relationship was just mentioned by words and not validated or measured comprehensively by the scholars. Hence, there is a chance for further studies in this body of knowledge.

<p>Entrepreneurship holds a strategic role for national economic development by creating job opportunity. Unfortunately, Indonesia still has low number of entrepreneurs. Since entrepreneurship can be learned, then universities are seen as one of the potential sources of supply to create entrepreneurs through entrepreneurial education. Although Indonesian government and ministry of higher education give a strong support to stimulate entrepreneurship in higher education, in the reality, most of university graduates still hesitate to become entrepreneur. This study aims to see the effect of entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurial self-efficacy on student’s entrepreneurial intentions from four private universities located in Tangerang. The research was carried out using quantitative methods using non-probability sampling with judgmental sampling. The data were collected through online questionnaires using google forms with a sample target of 134 samples. The data analysis in this study using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) technique assisted by the SmartPLS 3.0 software. This study shows that entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intentions. And, Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy positively affect entrepreneurial intention.  The study also found that entrepreneurial self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship education with Student's Entrepreneural Intention</p><p><em><strong>Abstrak dalam Bahasa Indonesia.</strong> Kewirausahaan memegang peran strategis bagi pembangunan ekonomi nasional dengan menciptakan lapangan kerja. Sayangnya, jumlah wirausahawan di Indonesia masih rendah. Oleh karena kewirausahaan merupakan hal yang dapat dipelajari maka perguruan tinggi dipandang sebagai salah satu sumber pasokan potensial untuk menciptakan wirausahawan melalui pendidikan kewirausahaan. Meskipun pemerintah Indonesia dan kementerian pendidikan tinggi memberikan dukungan yang kuat untuk mendorong kewirausahaan di perguruan tinggi, pada kenyataannya, sebagian besar lulusan universitas masih ragu-ragu untuk menjadi pengusaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh pendidikan kewirausahaan, efikasi diri kewirausahaan terhadap intensi berwirausaha mahasiswa dari empat perguruan tinggi swasta yang berada di Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan non-probability sampling dengan judgemental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner online menggunakan google form dengan target sampel sebanyak 134 sampel. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) yang dibantu dengan software SmartPLS 3.0. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kewirausahaan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efikasi diri kewirausahaan dan niat berwirausaha. Lebih lanjut, Entrepreneurial Self-Efficacy berpengaruh positif terhadap niat berwirausaha. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa efikasi diri kewirausahaan secara parsial memediasi hubungan antara pendidikan kewirausahaan dengan Niat Berwirausaha Siswa.</em></p><p> </p>

Entrepreneurship education was introduced in Nigerian higher education institutions as a compulsory course for students regardless of area of specialization in 2006/2007 academic session. This paper investigates the impact of selected teaching pedagogies (Normal lecture, Case study, Meeting entrepreneurs, Expert lecture, Incubation facility, Business plan development, Industry tour, Group discussion, Entrepreneurial stories, and Live project) used in delivering these courses on student’s entrepreneurial intention. Data were collected during scheduled lecture period with the aid of questionnaire on 405 students of universities, colleges of education and polytechnics in the three regions of Northern Nigeria (The North-East, North-Central, and North-West). Proportionate stratified random sampling technique was applied to select the participants. Descriptive along with inferential statistics were used for the analysis. Ordinal logistic regression was used to estimate the impact of each of these courses on students’ entrepreneurial intention. Findings indicate that four out of the ten teaching pedagogies namely; Normal lecture, Case study, Expert lecture, and Incubation facility lead a positive and significant impact on students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Therefore, higher education institutions in Nigeria need to set specific entrepreneurship education goals and come up with an effective blend of both conventional and innovative teaching pedagogies, through which students’ mental and practical capabilities can be improved towards successful entrepreneurship. The study also recommends that the teaching pedagogies applied in entrepreneurship education area must be in alignment with the career interests of the students and with the objectives for which the course is offered.

Abstract: The emphasis on entrepreneurship by the Malaysian government clearly displays their effort in strengthening the entrepreneurial development in the country, which is expected to boost the economy by creating more jobs and generating new incomes. The idea is extended to local higher education institutions so as to nurture and to sustain entrepreneurial engagement among the students through formal entrepreneurial programs. The initiatives are expected to help in reducing graduate unemployment level in the country. Despite all the effort taken by the government, the uptake of entrepreneurship      among young minds is still low, and there is growing unemployment in the country. Thus, this study aims to determine the factors that affect entrepreneurial intentions among UiTM graduating students and the mediating effect of entrepreneurship education towards entrepreneurial intention through attitude, perceived behaviour control and self-efficacy. The sample consists of 429 UiTM students who have taken the entrepreneurship course. Factor analysis and Partial Least Squares methods were used to analyse the data. The findings reveal a significant relationship of attitude, perceived behaviour control and entrepreneurship education towards entrepreneurial intention, while self-efficacy was insignificantly related. However, the study found that entrepreneurship education partially mediates the relationship between attitude and perceived behaviour control towards entrepreneurship intention and a full mediation on self-efficacy. The findings will help the policymakers or the higher education institutes in developing a suitable policy and program in promoting entrepreneurship to the university graduates at the national level.   Keywords: Entrepreneurial intention, IBM, Partial Least Squares, TPB.

Purpose of the study: This study examines the impact of creativity and entrepreneurship education on student entrepreneurial intentions at Jakarta State University. Methodology: This study, we applied quantitative research which conducting in two-phase First, we perform exploratory factor analysis test, and the second phase, we confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS version 18. Main Findings: This study carried out the findings that there is an impact on creativity on entrepreneurial education, lectures on individual creativity, entrepreneurial education on entrepreneurial intention, and creativity supported in the university on individual creativity. Furthermore, creativity supported not impact on entrepreneurial intention, and individual creativity has not to impact on entrepreneurial intention. Applications of this study: This research can be used by university leaders to increase students’ intention to become entrepreneurs through optimizing entrepreneurship education and creativity support from universities. Novelty/Originality of this study: In this study, we found that there was an influence of lecturer on creativity on entrepreneurship education. Previous researchers have never revealed this finding. Our research also found the impact of individual creativity on the intention of entrepreneurship. This finding has not been revealed in some previous studies.

Considering entrepreneurship as a set of actions performed by a subject, and behavior one of the main predictors of actions, this work presents a study based on the Theory of Human Values, that aims to analyze the influence of personal values on entrepreneurial intention of university students; understanding as well the personal values as cognitive characteristics that explain the attitudes of a subject towards entrepreneurship, the hypotheses of this work establish a positive relation between values associated to individualism and the entrepreneurial intention as well as a negative relation between values associated to collectivism and the entrepreneurial intention of university students. For this, a sample of 488 undergraduate students from the University of Guadalajara in Mexico is used and statistical analysis is performed through the SPSS software. Using a quantitative methodology, an exploratory factorial analysis and a linear regression model are performed to calculate the predictive capacity of the different types of personal values on the entrepreneurial intention of students at the University previously mentioned. Personal values associated to individualism prove to be highly related to entrepreneurial intentions while those related to collectivism show low or null effect. Some exceptions are discussed and lead to future lines of research regarding different types of entrepreneurship.
