The idea of reconstruction of Islamic philosophy in modern conditions is actualized due to the fact that there are problems of a natural and social nature, which can be designated as catastrophes and crises. In such critical conditions of challenge, a synthesis of spirituality and scientificity is in demand, which is the foundation for solving emerging difficulties and consolidating humanity. In this regard, the authors of the article turn to the widely discussed controversy in modern Islamic discourse on the compatibility of Islam and science and come to the conclusion that it is inevitable to support and expand the possibilities of rational research and the search for knowledge inspired by the Qur’an. A classic historical example of the rationalization of knowledge in Islamic discourse is the Arabic-Greek philosophy - falsafa (al-falsafa al-’arabiyya al-mu’aṣira). The complex problems of the current level of development of religion, science, politics, economics, culture, and civilization require new research approaches, new dimensions and tools in the XXI century. The theory of self-organization and evolution of large nonlinear systems has become a new fact and factor in the development of the science of studying complex local and global problems.

The Swedish Global Health Research Conference held in Stockholm, 18–19 April 2018, convened researchers from across Sweden’s universities to foster collaboration and new research. In response to the theme of the conference, How can Sweden contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? From research to action, many of the plenary and keynote speakers highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research and teaching. This commentary draws upon a workshop discussing interdisciplinarity, which took place at the conference. Participants included senior professors, lecturers, students and collaborators from the private sector and civil society and we discussed the conceptual and structural challenges that prevent engagement in interdisciplinary research. Although the workshop focused on the Swedish context, issues will be familiar to researchers working outside of Sweden. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals highlight the grand challenges for global society and are intertwined, with progress in one affecting progress in all others. With this starting point, we argue that interdisciplinary research is the way to achieve them. Accordingly, we need to overcome the conceptual and structural challenges that can hinder it. We therefore argue for a paradigm shift of how we value knowledge. We also call for fundamental changes in external and internal (university-level) funding structures, and for the strengthening of interdisciplinary global health teaching.

The review presents data on the frequency of detection of drug resistant (DR) tuberculosis mycobacteria (MTB) as well as on the change in DR patterns in Russia and abroad from the mid-50s of the 20th century till the present. Along with the well-known mechanisms for DR MTB development, it tells about new research describing mutations associated with drug resistance.

The increased focus and agreement on the requirement for the planet to be more sustainable has led to an array of new research and financial products. The new buzz phrase is transition financing which is being seen as the path to achieving a sustainable world. The Development Assistance Committee (DAC) in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD, 2019) has the main objective of transition finance is to optimise access to finance for sustainable development to avoid financing gaps or socio-economic setbacks. This chapter examines some of the products and markets in current use by financial institutions and investors. It describes their use and recent research in this area as well as some gaps in this research.

The existing methods and approaches for analysing an organization’s personnel capacity have been considered, a retrospective review of the well-known classifications of Russian scientists has been carried out. The authors have studied the papers devoted to the practical aspects of assessing the personnel capacity of industrial enterprises in the context of a number of areas, including: personnel management, sustainable development management, increasing the competitiveness and market value of a company. A new approach to analysing personnel capacity has been proposed in the form of assessment of personnel security or the current level of personnel risks, which are, in turn, attributed to such components of personnel capacity as qualification / working experience, ability / speed of reproduction of labor resources.

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which began in 2000 with 8 goal points, have not been able to solve the global problems. The MDGs were developed into Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 with 17 targeted goal points achieved in 2030. Until now, methods for determining the priority of SDGs are still attractive to researchers. Centrality is one of the tools in determining the priority goal points on a network by using graph theory. There are four measurements of centrality used in this paper, namely degree centrality, betweenness centrality, closeness centrality, and eigenvector centrality. The calculation results obtained from the four measurements are compared, analyzed, to conclud which goal points are the most prior and the least prior. From the results obtained the most priority goal points in Sustainable Development Goals.

Global problems of modern age make deep problems for the formation of socio-economic and political-legal stability in modern states. The most complex is poverty that provokes the new problems, such as the migration crisis. The international community follows the fundamental principles and norms of international law, tries to wipe out poverty, the practical implementation of this activity is reflected in the Concept of Sustainable Development.

The main purpose of this chapter is to identify the existing relations between the selected areas of sustainable development but carried out on the basis of the indicators describing the macroeconomic dimension of this development from the OECD countries' perspective. The theoretical basis for analyses is the concept of shared value, for the first time presented by Porter and Kramer in 2011. In this chapter, this proposition was applied to the studies carried out on the country level. For this purpose, the multidimensional statistical analysis was applied. The results of the study confirmed that on the current level of development, even in the case of the most developed countries, it is very difficult to find the shared space with the same level of development between these areas. In the same time, it is very important direction of further research and decisions undertaken on the macroeconomic level.

AbstractIt is hypothesized that kinematical structures within stellar interiors that are results of a self-organization of these interiors as thermodynamically open nonlinear systems constitute the physical basis for stellar magnetism.
