Abstract: As a tourist destination, Berau Regency has experienced a significant increase in tourist visits in recent years. Tourism development in Berau Regency still faces several obstacles, including the low quality of tourism destination management, not yet optimal management of regional culture and promotion of tourism destinations that have not been optimal. The tourism industry is closely associated with hospitality which is a major advantage of other industries. There is a need to explore the perceptions of tourism stakeholders about the hospitality concept. The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of understanding of hospitality concepts in tourism stakeholders in Berau Regency. Determination of respondents was done through purposive sampling and snowball sampling methods. Respondents were chosen with the consideration concerned having experience and knowledge in accordance with the focus of the study. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive narrative results of interviews with speakers and results of observations. The results of the study show that tourism stakeholders understand the service more than hospitality concept. Most of tourism stakeholders cannot accurately describe hospitality or distinguish it from service. Only a few of tourism stakeholders can define and describe the hospitality concept, but this still refers to service management terms and concepts. Most tourism stakeholders struggle to express their understanding and perception of hospitality. Practices consistently in carrying out the concept of hospitality can influence the behavior of tourism stakeholders. Keywords: hospitality, tourism stakeholders, Berau Abstrak: Sebagai destinasi wisata, Kabupaten Berau mengalami kenaikan kunjungan wisatawan yang cukup mengesankan pada beberapa tahun terakhir.

Reclamation based on the revitalization of Benoa Bay-Bali which is regulated in Presidential Decree No. 51 of 2014 has the goal of increasing competitiveness in the field of tourism destinations. However, many Balinese people reject the reclamation of Benoa Bay-Bali because the Benoa Bay area is a conservation area. With various objections from the Balinese people, KEPMEN KP No: 46/ KEPMEN-KP/2019 was issued regarding the management of the maritime cultural protection area of ??Benoa Bay-Bali by appointing the Bali Provincial Government as the manager. This study aims to examine policies regarding the maritime conservation area of ??Benoa Bay-Bali managed by the Provincial Government of Bali, as well as the determination of the Benoa Bay-Bali maritime conservation area to function effectively in the framework of environmental preservation. Using sociolegal research with a statutory approach and a case approach. The result of the research is that there is no further regulation regarding the Bali Provincial Regulation regarding the management of the Benoa Bay maritime conservation area, so that there is a norm vacuum. It is hoped that the determination of the Benoa Bay maritime conservation area to be able to effectively provide a positive impact in environmental maintenance activities, in which to ensure its wise use and increase the quality of its value and diversity.

Three approaches to the study of braille reading can be identified. They are (a) the observation of braille reading behavior, for the purpose of drawing inferences concerning the perceptual and cognitive processes upon which braille reading depends, or to discover the behavioral patterns that characterize fast and slow readers; (b) the determination of the legibility of braille characters; and (c) the demonstration of braille reading performance as a function of variables relating to the manner in which braille is displayed. Experiments exemplifying these approaches are described, and some suggestions for future research are made.

In this study, tourism performance of the 15 countries, the most popular tourist destinations of the World, will be analyzed by TOPSIS method. Four factors are determined to measure tourism activities in the countries. These factors are international tourism expenditures, international tourism receipts, international tourism number of arrivals and international tourism number of departures. Then TOPSIS method will be applied to combine the four different factors and convert them into a single performance score. Later, the countries will be ranked and rated. Tourism activities will be used for grading the performance score of the countries. Thus, valuation of tourism activities in the 15 countries will be held for 6 years, between 2009 and 2014, and the obtained results will be compared with th results of international tourism organizations.

It is now possible to determine proper motions of high-velocity objects in such a way as to obtain with some accuracy the velocity vector relevant to the Sun. If a potential field of the Galaxy is assumed, one can compute an actual orbit. A determination of the velocity of the globular clusterωCentauri has recently been completed at Greenwich, and it is found that the orbit is strongly retrograde in the Galaxy. Similar calculations may be made, though with less certainty, in the case of RR Lyrae variable stars.

Using the new reductions of the IUE light curves by Sonneborn et al. (1997) and an extensive set of HST images of SN 1987A we have repeated and improved Panagia et al. (1991) analysis to obtain a better determination of the distance to the supernova. In this way we have derived an absolute size of the ringRabs= (6.23 ± 0.08) x 1017cm and an angular sizeR″ = 808 ± 17 mas, which give a distance to the supernovad(SN1987A) = 51.4 ± 1.2 kpc and a distance modulusm–M(SN1987A) = 18.55 ± 0.05. Allowing for a displacement of SN 1987A position relative to the LMC center, the distance to the barycenter of the Large Magellanic Cloud is also estimated to bed(LMC) = 52.0±1.3 kpc, which corresponds to a distance modulus ofm–M(LMC) = 18.58±0.05.

In South Africa the modern outlook towards time may be said to have started in 1948. Both the two major observatories, The Royal Observatory in Cape Town and the Union Observatory (now known as the Republic Observatory) in Johannesburg had, of course, been involved in the astronomical determination of time almost from their inception, and the Johannesburg Observatory has been responsible for the official time of South Africa since 1908. However the pendulum clocks then in use could not be relied on to provide an accuracy better than about 1/10 second, which was of the same order as that of the astronomical observations. It is doubtful if much use was made of even this limited accuracy outside the two observatories, and although there may – occasionally have been a demand for more accurate time, it was certainly not voiced.
