Abstract Background To observe the effect of corticosteroids in the treatment of children with refractory Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia (RMPP) under different doses, to summarize the clinical features of children treated with glucocorticoid pulse therapy. Methods The clinical data of 125 children with RMPP hospitalized in Tianjin Children’s Hospital from September 2018 to October 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into two groups according to the dose of hormone. Compare the clinical features, laboratory findings, and imaging between the two groups, and use meaningful related indicators as ROC curves to find reference indicators for pulse therapy. Results (1) The median age of the group II was older than that of the group I(P < 0.05). (2) We found more severe presentations, higher incidence of extra-pulmonary complications and more serious radiological findings in group II, which needed oxygen more often, higher the hormone, higher usage rate of gamma globulin, higher usage rate of bronchoscopy, and higher incidence of plastic bronchitis(P < 0.05). (3) WBC, CRP, LDH, FER, D-D dimer, APTT, TT, PCT, IL-6 and the percentage of neutrophils in peripheral blood in Group II were higher than those in Group I(P < 0.05). (4) In ROC curve analysis, CRP, LDH, FER, and neutrophils of leukocyte classification were independent related factors that could be used as valuable predictors of methylprednisolone pulse therapy for RMPP in children. The cut-off values were CRP44.45 mg/L, LDH590IU/L, FER411ng/L, and neutrophils in leukocyte classification were 73.75%, respectively. Conclusion CRP ≥ 44.45 mg/L, LDH ≥ 590 IU/L, FER ≥ 411 ng/L, neutrophil≥73.75%, lung consolidation, and pleural effusion may be predictors that guide the treatment of RMPP with pulse dose of GC.

The COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 has changed the way people travel due to its highly contagious nature. In this study, changes in the travel behavior of passengers due to COVID-19 in the first half of 2020 were examined. To determine whether COVID-19 has affected the use of transportation by passengers, paired t-tests were conducted between the passenger volume of private vehicles in Seoul prior to and after the pandemic. Additionally, the passenger occupancy rate of different modes of transportation during the similar time periods were compared and analyzed to identify the changes in monthly usage rate for each mode. In the case of private vehicles and public bicycles, the usage rates have recovered or increased when compared to those of before the pandemic. Conversely, bus and rail passenger service rates have decreased from the previous year before the pandemic. Furthermore, it is found that existing bus and rail users have switched to the private auto mode due to COVID-19. Based on the results, traffic patterns of travelers after the outbreak and implications responding to the pandemic are discussed.

Smartphone usage rate has been increased, and so has on the streets while walking. Concerns for traffic accidents associated with the use have been growing, but there has been limited information regarding smartphone usage pattern while walking. A survey was conducted to explore the usage pattern in terms of frequency of use while walking, and history of accidents, and apps used while walking. Of 441 students, 95.9% used smartphones ‘sometimes’ or more often while walking. 91.8% and 54.6% of 423 used their phones while waiting for a signal and while crossing the crosswalk, respectively. 57.9% experienced accidents or near misses when using smartphones while walking. Text messaging (87.7%) was the most frequently used app while walking, followed by music and phone calls. The findings indicate that using smartphones while walking is a common behavior of young users, and suggest habitual users on the streets were in greater risks for accidents.

The needs of the consumers about the functionality of a product and increase maintenance costs of equipment caused the prices of products and treatments to be expensive. Therefore, the company considers the lease rather than buy it. Leasing provides interesting strategy when dealing with expensive equipment. Policy maintenance that is done to the product that has decreased performance. Minimum repair done to fix failed equipment in order to return to operational condition, while imperfect preventive maintenance to improve the operational conditions of the equipment to avoid failure. Time duration for a minimum repair neglected. The lessor will charge a penalty (penalty cost) if the lease equipment failure. Mathematical model built for the minimization cost of maintenance policy. In the final part, the numerical experiment are given to show the maintenance policy taking into account the rate of usage (usage rate) by knowing the minimization the resulting costs.

In this era of globalization, internet usage is growing very rapidly. It is characterized by the use of gadgets among students who are always connected to the Internet. Students like to find information in the form of real or audiovisual. Youtube presence also gives a great impact to this generation. This is what makes the basis for knowing how to use youtube as a medium lessons learned,This research is deskriptif qualitatif approach. The informants are students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Bengkulu. The number of informants in this study were as many as 16. Data was collected through interviews. The results of this study indicate that students have a high level of usage of gadgets and is always connected to the internet. Students almost daily open the youtube application on their gadgets. Students who use youtube as a medium lesson learnded to add knowledge and support the work of the lecture. Youtube usage rate is influenced by gender, courses and classes.  Keyword: gadget, youtube, internet

Cloud computing has become an innovative computing paradigm, which aims at providing reliable, customized, Quality of Service (QoS) and guaranteed computing infrastructures for users. Efficient resource provisioning is required in cloud for effective resource utilization. For resource provisioning, cloud provides virtualized computing resources that are dynamically scalable. This property of cloud differentiates it from the traditional computing paradigm. But the initialization of a new virtual instance causes a several minutes delay in the hardware resource allocation. Furthermore, cloud provides a fault tolerant service to its clients using the virtualization. But, in order to attain higher resource utilization over this technology, a technique or a strategy is needed using which virtual machines can be deployed over physical machines by predicting its need in advance so that the delay can be avoided. To address these issues, a value based prediction model in this paper is proposed for resource provisioning in which a resource manager is used for dynamically allocating or releasing a virtual machine depending upon the resource usage rate. In order to know the recent resource usage rate, the resource manager uses sliding window to analyze the resource usage rate and to predict the system behavior in advance. By predicting the resource requirements in advance, a lot of processing time can be saved. Earlier, a server has to perform all the calculations regarding the resource usage that in turn wastes a lot of processing power thus decreasing its overall capacity to handle the incoming request. The main feature of the proposed model is that a lot of load is being shifted from the individual server to the resource manager as it performs all the calculations and therefore the server is free to handle the incoming requests to its full capacity.
