The growth of business-to-consumer (B2C) ecommerce has gained a lot of attention among SMEs. Most B2C firms are turning their attention on how to retain new customers and are left in a situation to compete with larger firms. This paper aims to examine the impact of E-Commerce Customer Relationship Management (ECCRM) in a small business firm that engages in B2C ecommerce. Drawing upon the theories of customer relationship management, e-commerce, trust and loyalty, we develop an integrated framework of ECCRM model to illustrate the impact of the hard and soft factors that reflect the level of transactional and relational components of communication thereby impacting the customers shopping time lifecycle experiences. We develop a number of hypotheses to facilitate testing of the framework via an exploratory case study. We then discuss the findings of the integrated framework leading to theoretical and practical implications of this study and directions for future research.

This chapter explored the role of SMT in curriculum delivery in the midst of the pandemic, the impact of the pandemic on curriculum delivery, and support systems most useful during the coronavirus outbreak. The objectives were examined under the lens of the transformational leadership theory. The study was positioned in the interpretivist paradigm and informed by an exploratory case study design. Fifteen SMT members from six schools were conveniently sampled and interviewed to understand their experiences, perceptions, and expectations of curriculum delivery during the pandemic. The findings largely showed good practices in curriculum management during the pandemic, knowledge of curriculum delivery roles, and expanded support structures. On the other hand, challenges, such as increased absenteeism and weak student accountability resulting from recurring community transmissions, were noted. This chapter, therefore, calls for enhancing the role of SMTs in schools to make them better prepared for and responsive to interconnected global challenges such as this pandemic.

This chapter addresses the research gap in providing an extended framework for facilitating learner autonomy and enhancing intrinsic motivation through specifically-designed online tasks to enhance the development of reading skills in higher education. The approach to designing the reading tasks was informed by the comprehensive expansion of Chapelle's model explicitly to provide a theoretical framework for task design to assess the impact of the iPad-enhanced task design on the development of learner autonomy and motivation. Data collection and processing followed an exploratory case study approach applying mixed-method design. The differences in median scores for pre- and post-data were statistically tested using a Mann-Whitney U test. Thematic analysis was used to identify, analyze, and report themes in qualitative data collected for this study. Analysis of the results suggests that changing the culture of instruction and preparing university students for the realities of the digital age seem to be both positive and necessary.
