Investigates the theme known as “Knowledge Management” (KM) in three large Brazilian organizations trying to discuss its concepts, constituent elements, managerial approaches and tools, while aiming at leaving behind the purely terminological discussion, which is innocuous and naive. The basic presuppositions were two: (i) most of what it´s referred to or named KM is actually “Information Management” (IM) and IM is just one of the components of KM. KM is more than simply IM due to the fact that it includes and incorporates other concerns, such as the creation, use and sharing of information and knowledge in the organizational context; (ii) a conceptual model or map can be formulated based on three basic conceptions: (a) a strategic conception of information and knowledge, (b) the introduction of such strategy in the tactical and operational levels through the several managerial approaches and informaion technology tools and (c) the creation of an organizational space for knowledge. The main objective is to investigate and analyze the conceptions, motivations, practices and results of KM effectively implemented in three large Brazilian organizations. The qualitative research strategy used was the study of multiple cases with incorporated units of analysis and three criteria ere observed for the judgment of the quality of the research project: validity of the construct, external validity and reliability. Multiple sources of evidence were used and data analysis consisted of three flows of activities: data reduction, data displays and conclusion drawing/verification. The results confirmed the presuppositions and the fact that KM means a rethinking of management practices in the information ea. It was also identified that the main challenges facing organizations committed to KM have its focus on change management, cultural and behavioral issues and the creation of an enabling context that favors the creation, use and sharing of information and knowledge.

Research on the differences Between Students Morality that is a Rasta and Non Rasta Mu'allimat Cukir College Diwek Mts Jombang. The purpose of  research is to know the morality of students are santri, to know the morality of non-status santri, and students to do know the difference between students of morality that is a Rasta and non Rasta in Mts College Mu'allimat cukir diwek stubs. This research uses a quantitative approach with design research Ekspost Facto with the kind of research field comparisons/Man Whitne, study researchers use research instrument in the creation of research instrument must be passing the test validity and  reliability in advance so that the instrument can be trusted their validity. By using purposive sampling, taking of the sample into account the techniques students are santri and non santri of students, 50 students comprising students are santri and students who are non santri. After the analysis, it was shown that the Sig value, 0.199> 0.05, which means H0 was accepted and HA was rejected, which means there was no difference in student morality between students with non-santri status in MTs of the Mualimat Cukir Diwek  in Jombang. Keywords: morality of students, students, non-santri

Objective: To establish the validity and reliability of an online assessment instrument's items developed to track educational outcomes over time. Design and Setting: A descriptive study of the validation arguments and reliability testing of the assessment items. The instrument is available to graduating students enrolled in entry-level Athletic Training Education Programs (ATEPs). Methods: Validity was established with the creation of a national advisory board of Athletic Training educators. Construct validity was established with the creation of a test blueprint to guide the development of items for the knowledge exam. Internal reliability estimates for each domain were calculated. A single scale reliability analysis was conducted using all items. An item analysis was conducted by calculating difficulty and discrimination indexes for each item. Results: The internal reliability estimates ranged from .23 to .44 suggesting that individual domain scores for this draft of the instrument were not reliable. The single scale total score reliability however, produced an alpha = .84 suggesting a high level of reliability. Difficulty index scores ranged from .03 to .99 (mean = .74 ± .25). Discrimination index scores ranged from −.01 to .41 (mean = .21 ± .09). Conclusions: While the individual domain reliability was low, the overall single scale score is acceptable. Difficulty and discrimination index scores allowed the removal and revision of items to increase the overall reliability of the test bank.

Problem of this research is the unfamiliarity of the topics in TOEFL test. Many of the topics are talking about American and Europe.  They are about American science, American history, American economic system, American culture and European culture.  The topics above are not familiar to the students of State Islamic College because they seldom study about the topic. To answer the TOEFL tes it will be better for us to have background knowledge about the topics of the reading.  If we are familiar with the topic, it will help us to be easy in answering and understanding about the text.  This research used Research & Development (R&D) approach.  The sample of the try out test for developing these questions are the sixth semester English students of STAIN Batusangkar.  The data were analyzed by using Kappa model to differenciate the items difficulties, items differenciation, trapping model, validity and reliability.  The product of this research then revised for three times.  Then, the product is also commented and analyzed by the experts.  After analyzing the revision of the product, the result finally getting ready to be used for a test.

The management of knowledge is a multifaceted organizational process that involves three parts. They are (i) a strategy, (ii) the creation of an organizational environment or space for knowledge - known as the “enabling context” or “Ba” and (iii) an operational/action toolbox consisting of IT tools and managerial practices to effectively put the strategy into action. The main objective of this paper is to propose a conceptual integrative map for Knowledge Management that was built as the result of a longitudinal programme of research on knowledge management, conducted between the years of 2001 and 2009. As an outcome of this research, knowledge management concepts, motivation, practices, results and implementation processes will be highlighted. The qualitative research strategy used was the study of multiple cases with incorporated units of analysis and three criteria were observed for the judgment of the quality of the research project: validity of the construct, external validity and reliability. Multiple sources of evidence were used and data analysis consisted of three flows of activities: data reduction, data displays and conclusion drawing/verification. The results confirmed the presuppositions and the conclusions suggest that organizational knowledge cannot be managed; it is just promoted or stimulated through the creation of a favorable organizational context, namely “Ba”.

Abstract Tomasello offers a compelling account of the emergence of humans’ sense of obligation. We suggest that more needs to be said about the role of affect in the creation of obligations. We also argue that positive emotions such as gratitude evolved to encourage individuals to fulfill cooperative obligations without the negative quality that Tomasello proposes is inherent in obligations.
