Ikan uceng (Nemacheilus fasciatus) merupakan salah satu spesies ikan air tawar di Indonesia dengan nilai ekonomi cukup tinggi yang ketersediaannya masih mengandalkan penangkapan di alam, sehingga diperlukan upaya domestikasi untuk menjaga kelestariannya. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengamati biologi reproduksi dan pola pertumbuhan ikan uceng di lingkungan buatan (akuarium). Ikan uceng hasil tangkapan alam dari Sungai Progo, Temanggung, Jawa Tengah (panjang total 5,55 ± 0,53 cm; bobot 2,49 ± 0,24 g) diadaptasikan selama 12 bulan di akuarium (40 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm) dengan sistem air mengalir yang dilengkapi dengan aerator. Ikan uceng diberi Tubifex, hingga sampai akhirnya dapat beradaptasi dengan pakan komersial. Pakan komersial yang diberikan yaitu sebesar 3% per hari dari biomassa tubuh dengan frekuensi dua kali sehari. Data biologi reproduksi diperoleh melalui koleksi data panjang total, bobot badan, bobot gonad, fekunditas, diameter telur, dan indeks kematangan gonad. Data pola pertumbuhan diperoleh dengan koleksi data panjang, bobot, dan sintasannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa induk betina yang gonadnya berkembang mempunyai warna bintik hitam yang jelas, sebaliknya induk jantan warna bintik hitam memudar. Indeks kematangan gonad (IKG) yang diamati pada ikan uceng setelah 12 bulan pemeliharaan yaitu berkisar antara 0,007-0,027 pada jantan dan 0,13-0,25 pada betina. Kisaran diameter telur yang diamati yaitu berkisar antara 0,61-0,68 mm, dengan fekunditas 680-4.198 butir. Sedangkan pola pertumbuhannya menunjukkan bahwa ikan uceng betina dan jantan memiliki pola pertumbuhan allometrik negatif (b= 2,739 pada betina; b= 2,895 pada jantan). Nilai faktor kondisi Fulton (K) pada ikan uceng yang diamati yaitu 0,44-1,07 (rata-rata ± SD: 0,70 ± 0,11) pada betina dan 0,37-0,72 (rata-rata ± SD: 0,60 ± 0,06) pada jantan. Dari pengamatan ini ditemukan bahwa proses perkembangan kematangan gonad ikan uceng di akuarium lebih lambat dibandingkan ikan uceng di habitat aslinya.Barred loach (Nemacheilus fasciatus) is one of native fish species in Indonesia with high economic value, where their availability still depends on wild capture. Thus, domestication is needed to maintain its sustainability. The purpose of this study was to observe the reproductive biology and growth pattern of barred loach reared in aquarium (artificial environment). Fish were collected from Progo River, Temanggung, Central Java (total length of: 5.55 ± 0.53 cm; body weight: of 2.49 ± 0.24 g). The fish were reared for 12 months in aquarium (40 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm) with flowthrough system and equipped with aeration. The fish were fed with Tubifex until they accepted commercial feed. Then, the fish were fed twice a day at a ratio of 3% from the total fish biomass. The reproductive biology data were collected by measuring their total length, body weight, gonad weight, fecundity, egg diameter, and gonadosomatic index. Growth pattern were measured from length, weight, and survival. The results showed that matured female had shown black spot and male had inconsistent formation of black spots on their body. The gonadosomatic indexes ranged between 0.007-0.027 for male and ranged between 0,13-0,25 for female. The egg diameters ranged between 0.61-0.68 mm, with the fecundity of 680-4198 eggs. The result of observation on growth pattern showed that female and male had negative allometric growth (b= 2.739 for female, b= 2.895 for male). The value of Fulton condition factor (K) in the observed fish was 0.44-1.07 (mean ± SD: 0.70 ± 0.11) on female and 0.37-0.72 (mean ± SD: 0.60 ± 0.06) on male. From this study, it was found that gonad maturity development of barred loach reared in aquarium was slower than those in their natural habitat.

The Research about the food habits and length-weight relationship of Labiobarbus leptocheilus Valenciennes was conducted from May to September 2010. The aims of this research were to find out the food habits and to analyze the growth pattern of Labiobarbus leptocheilus Valenciennes. The sampling of fishes was conducted on May 2010 in the Gajah Mungkur Reservoir, Central Java. The sampling of fishes was conducted by using survey on the landing place of fishes (TPI Mina Tirta). The methods of analysis of food habits by using the Index of preponderance. The results of this research obtained were 19 samples of Labiobarbus leptocheilus Valenciennes, the length between 15-20 cm, with the weight between 40-90 grams. Labiobarbus leptocheilus Valenciennes had the negative allometric growth pattern (b <3). The laboratory analysis of food habits showed that the food habits of Labiobarbus leptocheilus Valenciennes were detritus with Index of Preponderance (IP) 82.95% and plankton with IP 17.05%.Keywords: food, habits, length-weight, relationship, Labiobarbus leptocheilus

Economically and ecologically important ecosystems that consist of diverse finfish and shellfish resources are found along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Thus, the current study intends in assessing the species diversity, length-weight (L-W) relationships, and condition factor of sea cucumber stocks in selected coastal sites of southern Sri Lanka. The diversity of sea cucumber species was surveyed using the systematic sampling technique in three selected sites (Bandaramulla, Mirissa, and Weligama) during February-December 2019. The growth pattern of each species was identified using a least-squares regression model computed for length-weight relationships. Fulton’s condition factor (K) was analysed for each species. There were four common sea cucumber species (Holothuria atra - Lolly Fish, Bohadschia marmorata - White Thread fish, Actinipyga miliaris- Deep Water Blackfish, and Thelenota ananas- Prickly Redfish) in study sites, while Holothuria atra and Bohadschia marmorata were recorded as the most abundant species. The length-weight relationship derived for the above four species exhibited a negative allometric growth pattern (“b” < “3”), indicating faster length increment compared to weight. The habitat qualities of all sea cucumber species were in optimum environmental condition. Our findings would benefit as baseline data for implementing sustainable management practices of sea cucumber resources.

Abstract Indonesia has been known to have a high diversity of sea cucumber, but data and information are mostly on high-economic-value species. Sea cucumber living in soft-bottom substrates is less studied and unexploited. Wulan estuary located in the Demak Regency of Central Java was experiencing high sedimentation, which was consisted of fine material, and acted as a habitat for many macrozoobenthos, amongst others sea cucumbers. The objective of the present research was to identify the species of sea cucumber in the soft bottom of the Wulan estuary. The collection of sea cucumber specimens was done using a dredge. A total of 132 specimens were collected, examined, and identified through their morphological characters. The holothuroids found in the soft-bottom of the Wulan estuary represent five genera (Acaudina, Colochirus, Holothuria, Paracaudina, Phyllophorus,) in four families (Caudinidae, Cucumariidae, Holothuriidae, and Phyllophoridae) belonging to three orders (Molpadida, Dendrochirotida, and Aspidochirotida). The species were Acaudina sp., A. molpadioides, Colochirus quadrangularis, Holothuria cf. impatiens, Paracaudina sp., Paracaudina chilensis, P. australis, and Phyllophorus spiculata. A. molpadioides is presented as the most frequently found species. Although sea cucumber found in the Wulan estuary has not been exploited, it still needs to be managed to sustain its population.

In edition, Yogyakarta has attracted large number of people to reside in this city for business. One of these comers is small entrepreneurs with their market munchies enterprise (specially a traditional snack trader). This business is one of famous business in Yogyakarta, we will find rows of pavement vendors selling market munchies. The students and tourists are their main target customers. Market munchies enterprise is part of small and medium enterprises SMEs as livelihood activities. SMEs has an important role in economic growth of Indonesia. Therefore, it is very important to develop and strengthen the micro enterprise empowerment. Micro enterprise empowerment is one of strategy to reduce the poverty rate in Indonesia. Major challenger in implement this program are that micro entrepreneurs are conventional and have satisfied with their revenue. It is very important to develop a comprehensive and sustainable micro enterprise empowerment which consist of strengthen the quality of human resources, maximize the government’s roles, empower the enterprise capital and strengthen the partnership and autonomous. Micro enterprise autonomy will contribute to the economic and investment climate. This research deals with the impact of Local Tax and Retribution Receipt to Local Government Original Receipt of Regency/City in Central Java from 2008 to 2012. This research utilizes the data of actual of local government budget from Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (Direktorat Jendral Perimbangan Keuangan). Methods of collecting data through census. The number of Regency/City in Central Java are 35. But the data consists of 33 of Regency/City In Central Java from 2008 to 2012. Total of samples are 165. Karanganyar Regency and Sukoharjo Regency were not included as samples of this research because they didn’t report the data of actual of local government budget to Directorate General of Fiscal Balance in 2009.The model used in this research is multiple regressions. The independent variables are Local Tax and Retribution Receipt, the dependent variable is Local Government Original Receipt. The research findings show that Local Tax and Retribution give the significant impact partially and simultaneusly on Local Government Original Receipt at real level 5 percent. All independent variables explain 91,90 percent of the revenue variability while the rest 8,10 percent is explained by other variables.Keywords: Local Tax, Retribution, and Local Government Original Receipt
