Mangrove mapping at the species level enables the creation of a detailed inventory of mangrove forest biodiversity and supports coastal ecosystem management. The Karimunjawa National Park in Central Java Province is one of Indonesia’s mangrove habitats with high biodiversity, namely, 44 species representing 25 true mangroves and 19 mangrove associates. This study aims to (1) classify and group mangrove species by their spectral reflectance characteristics, (2) map mangrove species by applying their spectral reflectance to WorldView-2 satellite imagery with the spectral angle mapper (SAM), spectral information divergence (SID), and spectral feature fitting (SFF) algorithms, and (3) assess the accuracy of the produced mangrove species mapping of the Karimunjawa and Kemujan Islands. The collected field data included (1) mangrove species identification, (2) coordinate locations of targeted mangrove species, and (3) the spectral reflectance of mangrove species measured with a field spectrometer. Dendrogram analysis was conducted with the Ward linkage method to classify mangrove species based on the distance between the closest clusters of spectral reflectance patterns. The dendrogram showed that the 24 mangrove species found in the field could be grouped into four levels. They consisted of two, four, and five species groups for Levels 1 to 3, respectively, and individual species for Level 4. The mapping results indicated that the SID algorithm had the highest overall accuracy (OA) at 49.72%, 22.60%, and 15.20% for Levels 1 to 3, respectively, while SFF produced the most accurate results for individual species mapping (Level 4) with an OA of 5.08%. The results suggest that the greater the number of classes to be mapped, the lower the mapping accuracy. The results can be used to model the spatial distribution of mangrove species or the composition of mangrove forests and update databases related to coastal management.

The concept of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) is attracting attention to the construction industry to minimise adverse environmental effects. However, its application is not common in developing countries like Indonesia. Based on contractors’ and construction design consultants’ point of view, the current study attempts to identify the drivers and barriers to adopting GSCM in construction projects in Central Java Province, Indonesia. The research study used previous literature, observation, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews with experts on drivers and barriers to implementing Green Supply Chain Management in construction. Data were analysed using SPSS and evaluated by the ordinal regression analysis method. Based on testing in ordinal regression analysis, seven factors were identified as drivers or barriers to the adoption of GSCM in construction projects in Central Java Province, and four of them affect significantly. The driving factors that significantly affect the adoption of GSCM include government regulations on environmental protection and pressure from the supply chain stakeholders. On the other hand, the barrier factors include the shortage of suppliers who implement GSCM practices in the construction area and inadequate knowledge and awareness about the impact of construction activities on the environment. This work could give the policymakers’ insight into the barriers and drivers to GSCM, thus enabling them to develop strategies in implementing GSCM in the construction industry.

This study analyses collaborative governance in sustainable ecotourism development in Magelang Regency, Central Java province. Strengthening the collaboration of the three actors is needed in developing ecotourism because it comprehensively regulates natural destinations responsible for the sustainability of natural life, economic activity, and community welfare simultaneously. To explain further the fundamental phenomena that occur in sustainable development. The goal is to create a new environmental friendly concept while also improving people's welfare, the economy, and peaceful social activities. Data were collected from in-depth interviews and observations. Interviews were conducted with 8 local government staffs, 22 ecotourism managers, and 42 communities around the destination. Then an analysis was carried out with Nvivo12+ to see the collaboration of sustainable Ecotourism governance in Magelang Regency. Three variables become benchmarks in the study: planning, implementation, and utilization. Each was measured by using six indicators. The study results showed significant local communities and businesses/private involvement in managing and developing ecotourism. Meanwhile, the local government actors need to strengthen their involvement and response in ecotourism development. So far, the response has been relatively slow and waiting for the independent development of destinations that the community has carried out. Therefore, in the future, it is necessary to strengthen collaboration to ensure effective management of natural resources in ecotourism, which can be achieved through the support and cooperation of local government agencies, businesses/private, and the communities.

Several research has been conducted yearly on X-Ray generator leakage by the Research Community and Devotion Polytechnics Institute of Nuclear Technology. However, none have determined the feasibility of X-rays in analyzing radiation leakages. Therefore, this research aims to conduct a statistical analysis test to determine the X-ray generator’s leakage level in radiology installations at several districts in Central Java province, initialized with A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I from 2012-2014. This research was carried out using a non-parametric statistic method due to its ability to analyze data in several places simultaneously at an average radiation leakage value of under 1 mGy/hour. However, some X-Ray Generators at districts H, I, and C exceed the limit of radiation leakage with row percentages of 7.6%, 37.5%, and 14.2%. The condition and information of the ranges in X-Ray Generator leakage at several districts in Central Java can be easily identified because the data is inputted into the thematic map and window chart using the Geographical Information System and computed by ArcView 3.3. The non-parametric statistics results showed that the operating procedure at each radiological installation in some districts of Central Java Province had been conducted in good quality. The data proportion in districts A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I are equal to the statistics values of 2,31033<9,2364;  0,2944442<13,3616; 4,6559925<10,6446; 0,1884249<12,0170; 0,0576894<4,6052; 0,4609793<2,70554; 0,9539133<7,7794; 17,452924<34,3816; 7,2867225<12,0170, respectively.

The ASEAN Economic Community provides opportunities for foreign workers to enter Indonesia, including Central Java Province. The existence of these foreign workers tends to negatively and positively impact the regional economic growth of the country. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effects of foreign workers’ human capital spillover inflow on the economic growth of Central Java. The Euclidean distance spatial weight matrix was used to calculate the spatial autoregressive model from 2015 to 2020. These results indicate that the presence of skilled foreign workers positively impacts increasing economic growth in Central Java Province. The influx of foreign workers, along with the influx of investment, encourages local workers to follow the performance of foreign workers. This study suggests a policy to encourage technology transfer from foreign workers to local workers. The government is also expected to strengthen local workers’ productivity to compete with foreign workers.
