‘The concept of dual aspectivity’ presents a renewed philosophical examination of the fundamental concept presented in Chapter 3. The unity of the living organism and its enactments of life provides an alternative to the separation of the mental and physical in philosophy of mind. A critical consideration of identity theory further develops this conceptual approach. The concept of integral causality is differentiated in the light of emergence theories, emphasizing the primacy of holistic functions over their components, and the reciprocity of downward and upward causation. The role and function of consciousness as the integral of the organism–environment interaction is discussed in detail. This gives rise to several conclusions regarding the intentional determination of neuronal processes, particular an embodied notion of free will, as well as an explanation of psychophysical interrelations.

The letters published in Melbourne's three TV magazines ( Listener In-TV, TV Week and TV Times) during the establishment period of the city's television service offer an insight into a number of the issues, concerns and interests that were a feature of the public negotiation of television during this period, as well as attesting to an understanding that the local production landscape was a shared enterprise answerable to the viewers who supported it. The vociferous discussions that took place in the public arena of the letters pages were not necessarily representative of any general response to the city's TV service, but they unsettle the idea that TV was something that ‘happened to’ viewers who would soak up whatever entertainment was on offer. In this discussion, I explore the role and function of these print-based TV forums by focusing on the correspondence generated by In Melbourne Tonight's most famous barrel girl, Panda Lisner, whose changing fortunes demonstrated the determination of a number of viewers to play a participatory, even regulatory, role in the Melbourne production landscape.

The purpose of this study was to determine the position, role and function of the DPD-RI in the Indonesian constitutional system before and after the Constitutional Court Decision No. 92 / PUU-X / 2012. The research method used is juridical normative and type of research is statutory approach, comparative approach, and conceptual approach. The results showed that a number of laws and regulations governing the DPD-RI were still less than the initial purpose of the formation of the DPD-RI. Certain articles relating to the position, function and role of the DPD-RI actually limit the authority of the DPD-RI so that it cannot function as a state institution that should have the same position as the DPR-RI. The decision of the Constitutional Court No. 92 / PUU-X / 2012 brings a new chapter in the implementation of democracy in Indonesia. The ruling of the Constitutional Court firmly provides a strategic role for the Regional Representative Council in Indonesian constitution.

ABSTRACT:This paper explores whether consciousness can exist without attention. This is a hot topic in philosophy of mind and cognitive science due to the popularity of theories that hold attention to be necessary for consciousness. The discovery of a form of consciousness that exists without the influence of attention would require a change in the way that many global workspace theorists, for example, understand the role and function of consciousness. Against this understanding, at least three forms of consciousness have been argued to exist without attention: perceptual gist, imagistic consciousness, and phenomenal consciousness. After first arguing that the evidence is inconclusive on the question of whether these forms of consciousness exist without attention, I here present a fourth form of consciousness that is likely to be more successful: conscious entrainment. I argue that conscious entrainment is a form of consciousness associated with skilled behavior in which attention is sometimes absent.

Judges should consider this to create legal justice.

The goal of this research lies in the description of artistic uniqueness of the philosophical lyrics of S. S. Vasilyev. The author reviews the problem of the poetic language of Vasilyev’s philosophical poems from the perspective of determination of the role and function of poetic images, as well as the techniques of rhetorical patterns, stylistics and syntax as method of expressing the original philosophical views. Examination of the philosophical lyrics of S. S. Vasilyev required an overview of the context of philosophical poetry of the Yakut classics – A. E. Kulakovsky, A. I. Sofronov – the forerunners of S. S. Vasilyev.  It is worth noting that the poet scrupulously adhered to the experience and traditions of his forerunners. The lyrical works of S. S. Vasilyev were oriented towards the poetics of philosophical works of the first poets. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the poetics of the philosophical lyrics of S. S. Vasilyev is examined on the basis of literary studies for the first time. The author determines the main ideological content of the poet's philosophical lyrics: he enhanced the semantic meaning of poetic images borrowed from the folk lyrics. The designated by the poet symbolic images are comprehensible and effective means of artistic reproduction of the philosophical concepts. The rhetorical references, questions that are specific to the philosophical lyrics overall, served as the main techniques of developing the theme of the philosophical works of S. S. Vasilyev, described his personal reflections, as well as the author’s idea of the lyrical works.

The development of democracy, the role and function of political lebih parties is more complete. This is due to the large expectations that are developing, so the function and role of the party will increase. However, the pattern of recruitment of candidates who do not consider the requirements to gain the votes of political parties. Based on the aforementioned background, the problem to be studied is the regulating the recruitment patterns of legislative candidates by political parties. The research method used in this discussion is normative juridical research using a research proposal-law (statute approach) and accessing concepts (conceptual approach). there is a legislative candidate who can be moved freely to another party and only joins when he will be nominated as a candidate by setting aside the old conditions as cadres approved by the party. Through this agreement, it was agreed that political parties could be emphasized by the principle of their parties to select candidates through clear and transparent recruitment patterns

The present knowledge of the three-dimensional structure of ribosomes is far too limited to enable a complete understanding of the various roles which ribosomes play in protein biosynthesis. The spatial arrangement of proteins and ribonuclec acids in ribosomes can be analysed in many ways. Determination of binding sites for individual proteins on ribonuclec acid and locations of the mutual positions of proteins on the ribosome using labeling with fluorescent dyes, cross-linking reagents, neutron-diffraction or antibodies against ribosomal proteins seem to be most successful approaches. Structure and function of ribosomes can be correlated be depleting the complete ribosomes of some proteins to the functionally inactive core and by subsequent partial reconstitution in order to regain active ribosomal particles.
