Background: A breast lump is the most common symptom associated with both benign and malignant breast diseases. Therefore, a distinction of benign from malignant lump is of importance for proper management. Though a definitive diagnosis is possible with imaging for all the lesions, histopathological study is proven essential for confirming the diagnosis. Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the role of USG and histopathological findings of different breast lump in diagnosis and their comparison. Methods: A prospective study was conducted over a period of one year from January 2017 to December 2017. A total of 116 patients were included in this study. All breast lumps underwent surgery and the ultrasound findings of these lumps were compared with the histopathological findings. Data were collected from these patients by a preformed questionnaire and finally the data were analyzed. Results: Out of 116 patients only 21 cases were reported as malignant in ultrasound report but histopathology revealed 31 malignant patients. On histopathological examination 10 benign cases turned out to be malignant. Conclusion: The present study was undertaken to evaluate in diagnosing breast mass lesions individually by ultrasound and compared with histopathology for definitive management of a patient. Mammary gland neoplasms in cats are at the top of the list of the most common nosological diseases among domestic animals; more than half of the tumors appear as malignant. Veterinary practitioners have many questions about the prevalence of breast tumors in cats, depending on age, breed and seasons of the year. The article presents the results of diseases prevalence of benign and malignant breast tumors in cats kept in the conditions of Bishkek. The characteristic of macroscopic and microscopic studies of benign and malignant breast tumors in cats at different periods of life and depending on the breed is also described. Studies were conducted in the period from March 2018 to March 2019. Morphological methods were used in the study of breast tumors. As a result of our research, we established the morphological forms of benign and malignant breast tumors in cats. Among benign neoplastic breast diseases in cats, breast lipoma was observed. Also among the malignant tumors of the breast met highly differentiated, moderately differentiated and poorly differentiated breast adenocarcinomas malnutrition and necrosis as well as the rare phylloid (leaf-shaped) fibroadenoma of the mammary gland which makes up only 0.3-0.5 % of all breast tumors.

Objective: To determine the frequency of various breast diseases in female patients.Methodology: This is a prospective (historical)cohort study of female patients from 18 to 55 years of age visiting a female surgeon with breast problems. The study was conducted at Chittagong Metropoliton Hospital and CSCR Hospital in Chittagong over a period of 10 years starting from July 2007 to June 2017. All female patients visiting with breast problems were included in the study, excluding the patients of below 18 years and above 55 years. The findings were tabulated in excel sheet and analyzed for the frequency of each lesion. Results: A total of 3555 patients were included in the study. Benign breast disease (BBD) was much more common than the malignant breast disease which was 3.49% (124/3555) of all breast diseases. Fibroadenoma was the most common benign breast disease, seen in 32.26%(1147/3555) of patients followed by mastalgia, seen in 24.22%(861) patients. The next common breast disease is fibrocystic change in 18.80%(668/3555) patients. Conclusion: Breast diseases, both benign and malignant are the common problems of female. But benign breast diseases are much more common than the malignant diseases. Fibroadenoma is the commonest of all benign breast diseases in our set up. Mastalgia and fibrocystic changes are the next two common diseases.J Shaheed Suhrawardy Med Coll, June 2017, Vol.9(1); 10-12
