Abstract Within the framework of $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 1 anti-de Sitter (AdS) supersymmetry in four dimensions, we derive superspin projection operators (or superprojectors). For a tensor superfield $$ {\mathfrak{V}}_{\alpha (m)\overset{\cdot }{\alpha }(n)}:= {\mathfrak{V}}_{\left(\alpha 1\dots \alpha m\right)\left({\overset{\cdot }{\alpha}}_1\dots {\overset{\cdot }{\alpha}}_n\right)} $$ V α m α ⋅ n ≔ V α 1 … αm α ⋅ 1 … α ⋅ n on AdS superspace, with m and n non-negative integers, the corresponding superprojector turns $$ {\mathfrak{V}}_{\alpha (m)\overset{\cdot }{\alpha }(n)} $$ V α m α ⋅ n into a multiplet with the properties of a conserved conformal supercurrent. It is demonstrated that the poles of such superprojectors correspond to (partially) massless multiplets, and the associated gauge transformations are derived. We give a systematic discussion of how to realise the unitary and the partially massless representations of the $$ \mathcal{N} $$ N = 1 AdS4 superalgebra $$ \mathfrak{osp} $$ osp (1|4) in terms of on-shell superfields. As an example, we present an off-shell model for the massive gravitino multiplet in AdS4. We also prove that the gauge-invariant actions for superconformal higher-spin multiplets factorise into products of minimal second-order differential operators.

In [R. P. Bernar, L. C. B. Crispino and A. Higuchi, Phys. Rev. D 90 (2014) 024045.] we investigated gravitational perturbations in the background of de Sitter spacetime in arbitrary dimensions. More specifically, we used a gauge-invariant formalism to describe the perturbations inside the cosmological horizon, i.e. in the static patch of de Sitter spacetime. After a gauge-fixed quantization procedure, the two-point function in the Bunch–Davies-like vacuum state was shown to be infrared finite and invariant under time-translation. In this work, we give details of the calculations to obtain the graviton two-point function in 3 + 1 dimensions.

Electroweak gauge bosons have masses of the order of 102 GeV [/c2], while masses of additional bosons involved in gravito-electroweak unification are expected to be still higher. These are at least eleven orders of magnitude higher than sub-eV range indications for neutrino masses. Under these circumstances we suspect that the sub-eV particles are created in a spacetime where gravitational effects of massive gauge bosons may become important. The question that we thus ask is: What is the spacetime group around a gravito-electroweak vertex? Modeling it as de-Sitter we find that sub-eV particles may carry a negative mass square of the order of [Formula: see text]. Neutrino oscillation data then hints at 30–75 TeV scale for M unif. , where M unif. characterizes gravito-electroweak unification scale.

We study cosmological tensor perturbations generated during de Sitter inflation in the conformal gravity with mass parameter [Formula: see text]. It turns out that tensor power spectrum is scale-invariant.

After a brief review of the linearized gravity in de Sitter (dS) four-dimensional space and ambient flat five-dimensional notations, the linearized field equation is written in terms of the Casimir operators of dS group. It is shown that the field equation is gauge invariant under some special gauge transformations. Because of this gauge freedom, a gauge-fixing parameter c is inserted in the field equation. It is shown that the solution to the field equation can be written as the multiplication of a generalized symmetric rank-2 polarization tensor and a massless minimally coupled scalar field in ambient space notations. The graviton two-point function has been thoroughly calculated, which is dS-invariant and free of any divergences. This two-point function has been expressed in terms of the intrinsic dS coordinates, from its ambient space counterpart, which is clearly dS-invariant and free of any divergences again.

Abstract Given an asymptotically Anti-de Sitter supergravity solution, one can obtain a microscopic interpretation by identifying the corresponding state in the holographically dual conformal field theory. This is of particular importance for heavy pure states that are candidate black hole microstates. Expectation values of light operators in such heavy CFT states are encoded in the asymptotic expansion of the dual bulk configuration. In the D1-D5 system, large families of heavy pure CFT states have been proposed to be holographically dual to smooth horizonless supergravity solutions. We derive the precision holographic dictionary in a new sector of light operators that are superdescendants of scalar chiral primaries of dimension (1,1). These operators involve the action of the supercharges of the chiral algebra, and they play a central role in the proposed holographic description of recently-constructed supergravity solutions known as “supercharged superstrata”. We resolve the mixing of single-trace and multi-trace operators in the CFT to identify the combinations that are dual to single-particle states in the bulk. We identify the corresponding gauge-invariant combinations of supergravity fields. We use this expanded dictionary to probe the proposed holographic description of supercharged superstrata, finding precise agreement between gravity and CFT.

Recently, it was shown that the conserved charges of asymptotically anti-de Sitter spacetimes can be written in an explicitly gauge-invariant way in terms of the linearized Riemann tensor and the Killing vectors. Here, we employ this construction to compute the mass and angular momenta of the [Formula: see text]-dimensional Kerr-AdS black holes, which is one of the most remarkable Einstein metrics generalizing the four-dimensional rotating black hole.
