The aim of the study was to develop an effective method of teaching computer graphics using information models. The authors conducted a pedagogical experiment, which consisted of two stages: ascertaining and teaching. The experiment involved 30 students and teachers in computer science. At the ascertaining stage, the state of students' practical knowledge and skills in computer graphics was analyzed. The authors had the following tasks at the first stage: to develop and describe the components, evaluation criteria and development levels of the motivation for studying computer graphics; design a diagnostic complex aimed at studying the development of the main components of the motivation for studying computer graphics; to identify the features of the development of the main components and levels of motivation for studying computer graphics in traditional learning environments. The teaching stage allowed to check the effectiveness of the task system developed by the authors, as well as the author’s methodology of using information modeling in computer graphics. In order to test the accuracy of experimental learning, the authors used the method of comparing the level of mastering the educational material of students in the control and experimental classes and the probabilistic method. For this purpose, control tests were conducted, the results of which were subjected to qualitative analysis. The results of the pedagogical experiment indicated the effectiveness of the proposed method of using computer information modeling in teaching computer graphics. Also, the authors developed a set of teaching and applied research tasks.

The article is a review of the book "Sources of the meaning of life: a new method of personality psychodiagnostics" by the Belarusian psychologist K.V. Karpinskij. It is argued that the meaning of life became the subject of special psychological research only in the 20th century. In recent years, there have been many breakthroughs in this area, and undoubted progress is visible. There was a transition to the interpretation of the meaning of life as a systemic, that means, in other words, multicomponent and multilevel mental education. In his previous works K.V. Karpinskij subjected the problem of the psychology of the meaning of life to a comprehensive analysis. This book has no analogues among the observable thematic literature and contains new theoretical ideas, original methodological solutions and rich factual material, which together form a new look at the key methodological issues of the psychology of the meaning of life. First of all, this is a question about the subject and method of research. Despite the fact that the study of the psychology of the meaning of life is largely represented in foreign psychology, the author of the monograph consistently adheres to the methodology of Russian psychology. The book offers the author's methodology "Sources of the meaning of life", which was created with a full understanding of the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and limitations of existing foreign analogues. Being a diagnostic complex in its composition, this technique has incorporated proven diagnostic techniques, as well as completely new techniques for studying the meaning of life. The methodology clearly surpasses the existing tools in its diagnostic (research) capabilities.

The article highlights the relevance of this issue and presents the results of a pilot study aimed at indicating whether there is a relationship between functional asymmetry and the level of development of imaginative and verbal-logical thinking. For more than 150 years, psychologists have studied the impact of functional asymmetry on human development. Depending on this, there are mainly groups: right-handed (right-handed), left-handed (shulg), ambidexter. However, in the scientific community, the connection between the left and right hemispheres is quite deep and not clear. For the sake of clarity of results, this study was conducted on a sample of children in grades 4-6. The research was carried out with the help of a diagnostic complex, which includes psychodiagnostic methodology for determining the integral index of figurative and verbal-logical thinking, as well as diagnostics of functional asymmetry of motor and sensory systems. The relationship between this study and the results of our pilot study is being traced. In addition, the study presents data from different social strata. For example, among the lyceum students the "mosaic" asymmetries were more common, while the pure "right-handed" type was often noticed among the students. This pilot study is the basis that defines a new space for research, namely the study of thinking and detailed analysis depending on two groups of variables – asymmetries: hand, foot, ear, eye; and classic units of analysis – age, gender, social status, nationality. The data obtained indicate a tendency for such an impact. In the course of the study, no significant influence of the dominance of sensory and motor systems on the level of development of figurative and verbal-logical thinking in young and middle school children (grades 4–6) was found. Trends in the influence of the dominance of the visual sensory system on the development of imaginative thinking have been identified, as well as a tendency to float on the development of thinking on the side of the motor system, in particular the leading leg. There is a recommendation to repeat the study on a larger sample.

Introduction: the problem of diagnostics of the quality of education at a higher education institution is becoming increasingly relevant in the conditions of the need to fulfill the criteria for the effectiveness of higher education institutions, the introduction of new generation standards in higher education institutions and the modernization of the educational program management system. Diagnostics of the quality of education is considered as an important process that ensures a steady position of the university in the educational services market, the  growth of indicators for the admission campaign,  the increase of reputational capital. Diagnostics of the quality of education makes it possible to identify significant factors in determining the prospects for the development of a university, having a significant impact on the performance indicators of a university and characterizing the results achieved and the resources used.Materials and Methods:the article discusses the system for the quality of education evaluation at Minin University, it describes its key components, reveals the elements of the diagnostic complex and their systemic interconnection. The characteristics of the elements of the diagnostic complex describes in detail the issue of improving the efficiency of the university in terms of the implementation of the management model of the main professional educational programs, the description of the diagnostic procedure for each category of participants in the educational process is presented. Results:the author describes the methodology and the main stages of diagnosing the quality of education at the university using the example of  Minin University, gives integrated assessment criteria and their relationship with other elements of the monitoring system and evaluating the quality of education at the university, lists the effects of introducing a comprehensive system for diagnosing the quality of educational activities.Discussion and Conclusions:in the final part of the article, the possibilities of further improving the system of assessment of the quality of education in the educational system of higher education are considered. Arguments about the need to further expand the range of issues raised by the diagnostic process are made; the ratio of the existing positions of the university to the requirements of the legislation is made.

A scientific approach to calculating the parameters and characteristics of an asynchronous motor in the inter-turn short circuit mode in one phase of the stator is proposed to create the foundations of a diagnostic complex for assessing the condition of asynchronous motors of the transport infrastructure. This approach consists of the fact that in the model with which the research is carried out, it is proposed to take into account changes in the mutual inductance of the motor when the AC impedance of one of the stator phases changes. Using a new approach to modeling processes occurring in an asynchronous motor during the inter-turn short circuit in one phase of the stator, pulsations of the torque on the motor shaft were studied for different values of the AC impedance and resistance of one of the stator winding phases, which corresponds to varying degrees of the inter-turn short circuits.
