THE PURPOSE. To investigate the existing methods of frequency control and their influence on the characteristics of the asynchronous motor, including the energy parameters. Consider new circuit solutions of the control type under study. Create a mathematical model of each of the methods of frequency control. To analyze the results obtained from the point of view of the behavior of mechanical, electromechanical and energy components. METHODS. When solving this problem, the method of computer simulation modeling, implemented by means of Matlab Simulink, was used. RESULTS. In this paper, various aspects of electric drive systems based on asynchronous motors with the use of cascade switching are studied and described, existing connection schemes for such systems are analyzed, and several new options with improved characteristics are proposed. A comparative analysis of various connection schemes is made, the most interesting results of such analysis are presented, and conclusions are drawn about the future prospects of certain circuit solutions.Electric drive systems were modeled in the Simulink MATLAB environment using software tools to demonstrate the operation parameters of the considered circuits. CONCLUSION. Various schemes for switching on the asynchronous motor in the Simulink Matlab environment were investigated. The results of the study revealed the potential usefulness of using a circuit with a transformer in the rotor circuit, as well as the construction of a multi-motor electric drive with a common transformer and a common frequency converter circuit. The efficiency of parallel connection of rotary circuits of a two-motor electric drive was demonstrated. The methods of returning the sliding energy to the network are also compared, and their effectiveness in a comparative analysis with the operation in the closed-loop rotor mode is demonstrated.

The relevance of the study lies in the search for energy-saving technologies. So, at present, the most common type of electric drive in industry is asynchronous, most of which are unregulated. Replacing an unregulated electric drive with an adjustable one in various units can significantly reduce energy consumption, increase the life of the mechanical part of the drive and improve the quality of the adjustable process parameter. The replacement consists in installing an electronic frequency converter between the network and the motor of the device. This device changes the rotational speed of the motor rotor by changing the frequency and amplitude of the supply voltage. The most common are frequency converters with an intermediate DC link. Such devices are built on electronic keys, which are made on IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) transistors. Using the NI Multisim14 software, a model was created to determine power savings during the implementation of VFD.The paper gives the rationale for the introduction of a frequency-controlled electric drive (VFD) to optimize technological processes in electrical complexes and systems, in particular, a complete analysis of the energy efficiency of VFD application in pumped water supply systems is presented as an example. The calculation of its economic efficiency for a particular installation is also given.

this article the energy efficient frequency way of starting of production mechanisms electrical drive with low power asynchronous motors (from 90 Wt to 5 kWt) is proposed. To provide this With the goal of electrical losses decreasing during asynchronous motor starting the Pontryagin Maximum Principle have been applied by the authors when analysing of two-mass model of production mechanism frequency controlled electrical drive. In result of calculations for frequency controlled electrical drive of production mechanism with 90 Wt power asynchronous motor of the model 4AA50A2 Dependencies of amplitude and frequency of supply voltage by the time are obtained. These dependencies confirm possibility of decreasing the electrical power losses with different values of motor shaft load torques. In compare with the other ways of asynchronous motor starting (for example U/f=const) they allow to decrease the electrical losses more then two times in nominal mode.

The article present the analysis of the operation of the mini-energy complex (MEC) based on alternative energy sources. An asynchronous generator (AG) was taken as energy source. The IEC operates independently with standard power parameters without the use of a frequency converter. To operate independently, AG needs a source of reactive excitation current. Based on the calculations carried out and the results obtained with the use of the experimental facility, the operating conditions of the MEC with standard parameters of electricity under varying load have been analyzed. A characteristic feature of the autonomous MEC is the commensurate capacity of the generating device and consumers. Therefore, any power consumer on/off leads both to significant changes of local electric system parameters and affects the operation of the generator itself. In this article, the main attention is paid to the influence of three-phase motor load on stable AG operation. When the MEC operates independently, reliable self-excitation of the asynchronous generator and the start-up of consumers whose power is commensurate with the generating unit must be ensured. It is also necessary to ensure the maintenance of voltage stability, the possibility of automatic operation of the generating unit, and the preservation of its integrity in emergency modes. Thus, for stable MEC-based AG operation the nature of the load should be taken take into account, the parameters of the of the local grid should be known as well as the exact availability of consumers and their characteristics, and also equivalent circuit parameters of asynchronous motors. In addition, it is necessary to accurately calculate the capacity when changing the parameters of the electrical system, so as not to lose the self-excitation of the asynchronous generator, which is equivalent to disconnecting the entire load of the generator and causes a sharp increase in speed. To solve these problems, it is necessary to create a high-speed MEC control system.

Issues of operating modes of 4A series asynchronous squirrel-cage motors and AI serried motors at asymmetrical supply voltage for different values of motor shaft load are considered on the basis of simulation using Matlab software package and Simulink package. In the simulation, currents in asynchronous motor phases were evaluated as a function of K2U, KZ, and based on these results, permissible operation parameters were evaluated for induction motors. The results obtained are the basis for technical solutions aimed at improving operational reliability of asynchronous motors, they will allow taking into account permissible operating parameters of asynchronous motors not only in the design, but also in operation in power supply systems of various facilities.

The article presents the comparative analysis of influence frequency regulated electric drive and current electric drive to harmonic structure of voltage of power grid. There was obtained the dependence of total harmonic distortion (THD) of curve on loading power for 2 types of valve converters. The effectiveness is shown in use of filter compensating device, connected at low side of converting transformer. There were defined the ranges of filter adjusting for improving THD of voltage curve. The described solutions are performed by the structural modeling method of Simulink packet in Matlab environment.
