Abstract For the first time in 2018 the Italian Institute of Statistics (Istat) implemented the annual Permanent Population Census which relies on the Population Base Register (PBR) and the Population Coverage Survey (PCS). This article provides a general overview of the PCS sampling design, which makes use of the PBR to correct population counts with the extended dual system estimator (Nirel and Glickman 2009). The sample allocation, proven optimal under a set of precision constraints, is based on preliminary estimates of individual probabilities of over-coverage and under-coverage. It defines the expected sample size in terms of individuals, and it oversamples the sub-populations subject to the risk of under/over coverage. Finally, the article introduces a sample selection method, which to the greatest extent possible satisfies the planned allocation of persons in terms of socio-demographic characteristics. Under acceptable assumptions, the article also shows that the sampling strategy enhances the precision of the estimates.

This paper examines how trade and profit-loss sharing (PLS) financing as well as non performing financing (NPF) affect theprofitability ofIslamic banking in Indonesia. The profitability is measured by return on assets. The sample selection method is purposive sampling and obtained four Islamic banks are being sampled, that is Bank Syariah Mega Indonesia, Bank Syariah Mandiri, Bank Muamalat Indonesia, and BRI Syariah in 11 periods of observation.Multiple regression is used toanalyzethe data. The resultshows thattrade financingand NPF have positivelly affect, while profit-loss sharing financing has negativelly affect on theprofitability ofIslamic banks.

Approximated model instead of computational fluid dynamics tool is utilized for performance analysis in hull form optimization process, which can save time significantly. Sample selection is the central issue of approximated model building. This article focuses on the sample selection method and the application of approximated model in hull form optimization. Latin hypercube sampling and uniform design are compared. The uniform design based on genetic algorithm approach is proposed. The radial basis function interpolation method is used for hull surface automatic modification. An approximated model using a neural network for ship resistance performance is established. The stem profile's optimization for the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) container ship is completed. The results show that hull form optimization based on the approximated model can significantly improve optimization efficiency and is practical for engineering design.

The purpose of this study is to study the interaction of tax socialization, tax knowledge, and calculation of tax rates at the level of tax collection of students as SMEs. This research was conducted at the Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Udayana University, using a saturated sample. Where the number of samples in this study were 30 people, namely the entire population of accounting studies program students in 2016 and 2017 who have a business producing samples. The sample selection method uses a purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results found that taxation socialization, tax knowledge, and calculation of tax rates at the level of tax participation of students as SMEs. One form of government in improving the performance of its employees is the application of SIPKD. This research was conducted at the Bali Provincial Tourism Office. The purpose of this research is to find out how much effectiveness SIPKD, leadership style, and work environment have on employee performance. The sample selection method in this study uses the saturated sample (census) technique. The number of samples in this study were 40 people. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of SIPKD has no significant effect on employee performance. While the leadership style and work environment have a positive and significant influence on the performance of the employees of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office. Keywords: Effectiveness of SIPKD; Leadership Style; Work Environment.
