Among the great maritime trading empires of history, the Sriwijaya empire ranks among the most splendid and rich ones. Still, few people know about this empire and recognize it as an important part of the history of Indonesia. This study examined participatory practice in historic preservation by investigating stakeholders’ perspectives on the potential application of digital technology in the Sriwijaya Museum in Palembang. We introduced photogrammetry and color analysis technologies to identify some possible improvements to be implemented in the museum in the future. We invited some community members interested in Palembang’s history and in using digital technology in museums to participate in a two-day participatory workshop. Pre-workshop and post-workshop questionnaires were distributed to identify the participants’ expectations for and responses to the workshop. Moreover, we also interviewed several participants. The study revealed that all participants agreed that both technologies have great potential to provide narrations in the museum and support thematic activities such as arts, culinary, and music performances. This paper highlights the importance of the local community’s commitment and the government’s political will to realize a roadmap for the city’s cultural heritage preservation and digitization movement.

This study aims to examine the digital compliance of museums in Jakarta towards the accessible information concept. Furthermore, this study also explores the millennials’ perception towards digital technology adoption for museum. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah website was employed to remark the research object. Hence, 18 museums were finalized as of this research object. Data was accumulated through direct field observation in all museums and interview with museum staff. Meanwhile, a survey with questionnaire was distributed to gather the digital technology and accessible information perception of the museum. Also, other accessibility information data was gathered through content analysis. The findings reveal accessible information compliance in term of printed material, digital document, audio visual content, website, application, self- service terminal, and signage. Findings also show that Museum Olahraga turns out to be the most compliance regarding its accessible information and providing digitalization facilities such as interactive digital signage, augmented reality, interactive video mapping, automatic display slider, interactive kiosk, and interactive light show. However, the result shows that only several museums comply with digital context. This research implication is to deliver the best practice for the museum to anticipate future trends to ensure better experiences for the visitors.

Today, as the soft power of culture is becoming more and more important, it is very important to pay attention to the learning and dissemination of culture. As the carrier of this process, the use of advanced technology to improve the museum is of great significance. This paper studies the digital design of smart museum based on artificial intelligence in order to explore the application of smart museum in artificial intelligence, analyze the spatial design of smart museum by using digital technology, explore a feasible method to give full play to the function of smart museum, and put forward some suggestions on the spatial design of smart museum. The design of the smart museum is no longer restricted by time and space and uses digital technology to double use virtual things and dynamic space. Through the detailed analysis of the application of artificial intelligence and digitization in the spatial design of the smart museum, combined with the information decision tree algorithm and data heterogeneous network algorithm, this study constructs the model of the information processing architecture of smart museum and the requirements of digital museum and makes a decision-making analysis of the comparison results of existing data. It includes the digital design of smart museum display technology, display effect, and other display-related contents. Analyzing the impact of smart museum on the object can provide data support for the feasibility of digital space design of smart museum based on artificial intelligence. The results of regression data processing show that the spatial visual sense of digital design wisdom museum is very strong, reaching the level of 5.0, and the picture aesthetic effect is up to 4.8.

Virtual reality and the Olympic Games Museum are used to create a virtual digital Olympic museum (VDOM). This is available solely through the medium of digital technology. VDOM extends in a comprehensive way the main functionalities of the traditional physical Olympic museum. Thus virtual reality technologies and the Olympic Games motivate the researchers. Three characteristics, namely sports, humans, and entertainment/ education, are crucial for the development of the VDOM. In developing the VDOM, the four major concerns were data storage and retrieval oriented to the Olympics task; modeling and rendering of the digital museum; the virtual demonstration of sports with virtual humans; and virtual reality based sports simulation. Appropriate solutions to these problems are proposed. Finally, a prototype of the VDOM using these technologies is demonstrated. This validates the efficiency of the proposed methods.

Abstract The purpose of this article is to provide clinical supervisors with information pertaining to state-of-the-art clinic observation technology. We use a novel video-capture technology, the Landro Play Analyzer, to supervise clinical sessions as well as to train students to improve their clinical skills. We can observe four clinical sessions simultaneously from a central observation center. In addition, speech samples can be analyzed in real-time; saved on a CD, DVD, or flash/jump drive; viewed in slow motion; paused; and analyzed with Microsoft Excel. Procedures for applying the technology for clinical training and supervision will be discussed.
