The scope of the present work is to organize into a digital form and evaluate the excellent record of reported damages, connected to the occurrence of the 1978 Thessaloniki earthquake (M 6.5). For this purpose an advanced Information System with open architecture is under development. The system will include:• A properly designed database.• A Geographic Information System containing all the above data (after digitization and corrections) enriched with more recent data, as well as topographic, geological and geophysical data of the region (metropolitan area of Thessalonica).• A model system of accessing the above via web and mobile devices.The information system is designed with an open architecture so it can be easily adapted for use with similar data from other regions, and/or with other geographically distributed information with commercial importance. The data to be collected, stored and used will be described using XML language to facilitate communication among different applications and for flexible expansion to incorporate any new data types that have to be described and stored in the database. The use of XML is considered ideal both for back-end application logic, and as a platform for application and platforms integration. More specifically regarding the latter, methodologies will be developed for application integration based on XML-RPC and SOAP, which will enable flexible exchange of data with external systems and applications. The application will be available through the Internet so the interface of the application will be depicted through a Web Browser, using a desktop PC, a laptop, or - with some restrictions - a PDA.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi yang dapat mendukung user/ pengguna dalam memberikan pelayanan sistem informasi manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D). Prosedur penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini terdiri atas beberapa langkah yaitu: analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, pengembangan desain produk, uji coba produk/ implementasi produk, dan penilaian produk. Pada tahap pengembangan desain produk, software diuji kelayakannya dengan cara validasi tes alpha dan tes beta. Selanjutnya dilakukan penilaian produk untuk mengetahui kinerja sistem menurut pengguna yang terdiri dari kepala bengkel, teknisi, guru, dan siswa Bengkel Kerja di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebuah produk berupa Software yang diberi nama ”Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan” atau “SIMBA SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta.” Produk yang dibuat dinyatakan telah memenuhi kriteria jelas, konsisten, akurat, dan andal. Rerata skor penilaian secara keseluruhan mencapai nilai 3,77 (baik). THE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT OF THE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPAbstractThe aim of the study is to develop information system which can support the users in handling the management information system of the Vocational High School Workshop.The study is categorized as the Educational Research Development (R&D). The research procedure used in conducting this study consists of some stepsi.e.: need analyzes, product design, product design development, product trial/product implementation, and product evaluation. In the development phase of product design, software tested for feasibility by means of validation tests alpha and beta testing. Further product assessment to determine the performance of the system according to user consists of some stepsi.e.: the head of the workshop, technicians, teachers, and students of Workshop at SMK 3 Yogyakarta. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics. The result of this study was the software named Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bengkel Kerja Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (The Management Information System of the Vocational High School Workshop) or “SIMBA SMK 3 Yogyakarta.” Results of the assessment states that the product has met the criteria made clear, consistent, accurate, and reliable. It was indicated by the whole score rate reaching at 3.77(good).

Solution of problems for improvement of methods and technologies of software configuration remains important and requires the development of the existing information technology to provide customization of software in terms of changing the end user requirements. Changing requirements stipulate the use of iterative software lifecycle. As part of the life cycle, it is necessary use additional methods to simplify of software architecture and obtaining software with a minimum of functional complexity. This is necessary in order to avoid increasing the time and labor costs for design, development and support of software. To address the disadvantages of existing methods it is proposed to use a method of assessing the functional complexity of the software information system, which is based on the existing graph multilevel model of software architecture. The method is based on FP-metrics calculation for each architectural element and a corresponding level of the graph model. Metrics values allow choosing software modules with a minimum of functional complexity in configuring the software architecture to satisfy the functional requirements of the end user.

This research applied information system by using Supply Chain Management (SCM) in the pharmaceutical warehouse in Mamasa Regency. The scope of the research was maximized on pharmaceutical warehouse operations and drug distribution to clinics. This research did not focus on cost, profit, lead time, and procurement costs. This system was built using PHP programming language and MySQL database. System development process used waterfall method. It consisted of requirement analysis, system analysis, design, development, and testing. The test system used the xampp 6.2 servers with a black box testing method that involved the pharmaceutical warehouse staff as the end user. The results demonstrate technologies that can be used by physicians to submit drug requests faster and report on real-time drug use (LPLPO). For pharmaceutical warehouses, this system is useful for drug availability, drug management, and response information. This technology can help the health department to perform its role as a supervisory or controlling function (internal controls) of the drugs. This research also gives a recommendation for the pharmaceutical warehouse management in providing benefits for the institutions/companies involved. This research has an insight for the management to realize the importance of Information Technology (IT) to support daily operational activities.

The aim to be reached in conducting this study is to develop suitable English materials for the students of the Information System Department at Technology and Information Faculty of Mathla’ul Anwar University so that they can study what they need to learn. The development will produce an English textbook (module) that is relevant to the objective of curriculum and the needs of the students. It is expected that lecturers and the students can take advantage of the product of the development. The design of this study is categorized under Research and Development (R&D) with analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the module is developed which is more valid, practical and effective. The analysis of the validity of the module can be seen from the aspect of content and presentation. The future suggestion for other researchers is to develop an English language module specifically for education. Students need a special book that is more relevant to be a reference for using English in the context of teaching. Because English is an international language, English course in the Information System Department is expected to contribute to all aspects of life, especially when the students graduate from university
