Design of design of X-Y-Theta fine stage using VCM (voice coil motor) is presented in this paper. This fine stage is combined with linear DC motor. Long range, high speed and high precision of the stage is obtained by using dual servo control for laser micro/nano machining. A novel structure of VCM for the fine stage is proposed. The fine stage can have 3 DOF(X-Y-Theta) motion by four VCM actuators which are located on the same plane. The X-Y-Theta fine stage is designed to have high acceleration for high throughput. Based on the design, the stage is fabricated. The designed stage has the acceleration of 5m/s2 with 45kg total mass. In addition, this actuator is feedback controlled using HP laser interferometer. The reaction force between the coarse and fine stage of the dual servo is compensated by force compensator.

: Silica-POCl2 was used as the promoter for the three-component reaction of ethyl/methyl 3-phenyl glycidate, aniline derivatives, and dimethylcarbonate, leads to the synthesis of methyl/ethyl 2-oxo-4-phenyl-3-aryloxazolidine-5-carboxylate derivatives. The desired product was obtained in high yields.

In order to search after a new way of the propulsion system of tracked vehicle, a novel structure form of electro-mechanical transmission was developed in this paper, through analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of existing projects of electric drive system for tracked vehicle. It could increase the rate of power exertion obviously and synthesize the mechanical and electrical strongpoint. And based on the structure form, an electro-mechanical transmission was designed with double electromotor added planetary mechanism of steering power coupling and gearshift, considering engineering realization. And then straight-line driving and steering performances of the transmission were calculated which proved that the novel electro-mechanical transmission could meet the requirement of tracked vehicle propulsion well.

A generalization of the concept of multimode interference sensors is presented here for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. The existing bimodal and trimodal sensors correspond to particular cases of those interference sensors. A thorough study of the properties of the multimode waveguide section provided a deeper insight into the behavior of this class of sensors, which allowed us to establish new criteria for designing more sensitive structures. Other challenges of using high-order modes within the sensing area of the device reside in the excitation of these modes and the interpretation of the output signal. To overcome these, we developed a novel structure to excite any desired high-order mode along with the fundamental mode within the sensing section, while maintaining a fine control over the power distribution between them. A new strategy to detect and interpret the output signal is also presented in detail. Finally, we designed a high-order sensor for which numerical simulations showed a theoretical limit of detection of 1.9×10−7 RIU, making this device the most sensitive multimode interference sensor reported so far.
