The object of this paper is to provide a flowmeter data validation/reconstruction methodology that determines the annual economic efficiency of a water transport network. In this paper, the case of Aigües Ter Llobregat (ATLL) company, which manages 80% of the overall water transport network in Catalonia (Spain), will be used for illustrating purposes. Economic network efficiency is based on daily data set collected by the company using about 200 flowmeters of the network. Data collected using these sensors are used by remote control and information storage systems and they are stored in a relational database. All information provided by ATLL is analysed to detect inconsistent data using an automatic data validation method deployed in parallel with the network efficiency evaluation. As a result of the validation process, corrections of flow measurements and of billed water volume are introduced. Results from ATLL water transport network corresponding to year 2010 will be used to illustrate the approach proposed in this paper.

The purpose of this research is to knowing the role of asset management in an attempt to managing financial independence and optimizing economic activities in Masjid Al-Akbar Surabaya. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive case study, while collecting the data uses purposive technique to specify the informan. The data used in this research isobtained by semi-structured interview, observation, and documentation. This research also uses triangulation techinique in checking the data validation. Triangulation is an examination technique which enables to use one or two another sources for validation or verification. The result of this research showing that asset management of Masjid Al-Akbar has been operated in accordance with asset management’s functions which is including planning, organizing, implementing, and controling which then result in financial indepedence of Masjid Al-Akbar Surabaya.

This paper discusses the merits of merging SCADA1 and gas measurement from a technical and economical perspective. Because traditional SCADA is largely limited to control room data used only for day to day operational purposes, the real-time metering data is not often utilized in the external revenue-generation business systems of the organization. In many cases, entirely separate measurement systems are utilized in isolation which often have few, if any, ties to the SCADA system which is capable of collecting pertinent measurement information. Measurement data validation provides automatic data validation of flow measurement data upon retrieval from telemetered or non-telemetered data sources. Row measurement data can be supplied from field devices such as electronic flow computers or from other sources of flow measurement data such as manual operator entry, third party collection systems, chart integration sources, etc. Flow measurement data undergoes a series of automated validation tests including single-run limit checking, meter run comparisons (at a given metering station) and historical validation tests (such as searching for frozen values). The outcome of these tests determines the data quality code assigned to each flow measurement reading (indicating the results of validation tests). When combined with a real-time processing and data acquisition engine in a SCADA system that is capable of communicating with field devices via leased lines, VSAT, radio, dial-up, etc., many benefits can be realized.

In all fields of microscopy there is an increasing interest in the quantification of microstructure. This interest may stem from a desire to establish quality control parameters or may have a more fundamental requirement involving the derivation of parameters which partially or completely define the three dimensional nature of the microstructure. This latter categorey of study may arise from an interest in the evolution of microstructure or from a desire to generate detailed property/microstructure relationships. In the more fundamental studies some convolution of two-dimensional data into the third dimension (stereological analysis) will be necessary.In some cases the two-dimensional data may be acquired relatively easily without recourse to automatic data collection and further, it may prove possible to perform the data reduction and analysis relatively easily. In such cases the only recourse to machines may well be in establishing the statistical confidence of the resultant data. Such relatively straightforward studies tend to result from acquiring data on the whole assemblage of features making up the microstructure. In this field data mode, when parameters such as phase volume fraction, mean size etc. are sought, the main case for resorting to automation is in order to perform repetitive analyses since each analysis is relatively easily performed.

The practice of systematic examinations in hospitals and the increasing development of automatic data processing permits the storing of a great deal of information about a large number of patients belonging to different diagnosis groups.To predict or to characterize these diagnosis groups some descriptors are particularly useful, others carry no information. Data screening based on the properties of mutual information and on the log cross products ratios in contingency tables is developed. The most useful descriptors are selected. For each one the characterized groups are specified.This approach has been performed on a set of binary (presence—absence) radiological variables. Four diagnoses groups are concerned: cancer of pancreas, chronic calcifying pancreatitis, non-calcifying pancreatitis and probable pancreatitis. Only twenty of the three hundred and forty initial radiological variables are selected. The presence of each corresponding sign is associated with one or more diagnosis groups.
