Abstract Purpose While demand for telemedicine is increasing, patients are currently restricted to tele-consultation for the most part. Fundamental diagnostics like the percussion still require the in person expertize of a physician. To meet today’s challenges, a transformation of the manual percussion into a standardized, digital version, ready for telemedical execution is required. Methods In conjunction with a comprehensive telemedical diagnostic system, in which patients can get examined by a remote-physician, a series of three robotic end-effectors for mechanical percussion were developed. Comprising a motor, a magnetic and a pneumatic-based version, the devices strike a pleximeter to perform the percussion. Emitted sounds were captured using a microphone-equipped stethoscope. The 84 recordings were further integrated into a survey in order to classify lung and non-lung samples. Results The study with 21 participants comprised physicians, medical students and non-medical-related raters in equal parts. With 71.4% correctly classified samples, the ventral motorized device prevailed. While the result is significantly better compared to a manual or pneumatic percussion in this very setup, it only has a small edge over the magnetic devices. In addition, for all ventral versions non-lung regions were rather correctly identified than lung regions. Conclusion The overall setup proves the feasibility of a telemedical percussion. Despite the fact, that produced sounds differ compared to today’s manual technique, the study shows that a standardized mechanical percussion has the potential to improve the gold standard’s accuracy. While further extensive medical evaluation is yet to come, the system paves the way for future uncompromised remote examinations.

Tanbur player and composer Erol Sayan one of the musicians who have served Turkish music, has composed many composes and brought them to Turkish music. In this research, it is aimed to examine the composes of Erol Sayan in terms of prosody. For this purpose, Erol Sayan's works selected in different forms and maqams were examined with the Prosody Analysis Technique (PIT) presented in the study. The research is in the descriptive scanning model and the data were collected by the source scanning method. As a result of the literature review, 210 works of the composer were reached, and the research was limited to 5 verbal works in different forms and maqams. A new examination technique was needed because prosody examinations are laborious and take time in terms of time, therefore, a new examination technique, “Prozodi İnceleme Tekniği” (PIT), was presented in order to facilitate prosody examinations of verbal works. According to the results of the research; It has been determined that the works of the composer are suitable for prosody according to the prosody analysis technique. In future research, it is suggested that musical examinations of other composers' works should be done with the same method. Keywords: Erol Sayan, composing, work review, music, analysis, prosody

Shortening of the triceps surae is evaluated using the Silfverskiöld test. The increase in dorsiflexion with the knee in flexion compared to the knee in extension makes the test positive. To perform the test, the examiner uses both hands and is not able to hold any device for objective measurement while assessing the magnitude of dorsiflexion. In view of this obstacle, this paper aims to describe a tip of a physical examination technique for evaluating the shortening of the triceps surae through the evaluation of the anterior wrinkle of the ankle. We performed the technique in a patient with shortening of the gastrocnemius and recorded the test, showing an increase in the anterior skinfold of the ankle. The test is simple, reproducible, requires no additional apparatus and shows variety in the severity of shortening. Level of Evidence V; Therapeutic Studies; Expert Opinion.

Recently a series of papers was introduced describing on “how to do” certain techniques. More specifically we published on how to perform strain imaging using the transcutaneous and endoscopic ultrasound approach and shear wave elastography (SWE). In the first part we describe how to optimize the examination technique, discussing normal values, pitfalls, artefacts and specific tips for applying SWE to specific organs (liver, breast, thyroid, salivary glands) as part of a diagnostic US examination. In part II, the use of SWE in the pancreas, spleen, kidney, prostate, scrotum, musculoskeletal system, lymph nodes and future developments are discussed.

Societal gap is a phenomenon that exists between the layers of society which creates mass significant differences between it. Through the movie Parasite, Bong Joon Ho successfully portrayed a visualization of the societal disparity issue that happens between two South Korea families with different economic backgrounds. This research’s sole purpose is to analyze and evaluate the representation of societal gap which is depicted thoroughly in Parasite’s filmography. This research uses the method of qualitative research with John Fiske’s semiotic analysis. The subject is the movie Parasite which is directed by Bong Joon Ho. The data is obtained by the method of observing and documentation. The data’s unit of analysis is picked solely by the scenes that interpret signs of societal gap, which rounds up to 31 scenes. The data’s examination technique uses the technique of source’s triangulation.  The research has brought up a few results such as, (1) The reality level and societal gap is represented in aspects of appearance, the way each families speak, behavior, movements, expression, and the environment that they reside at. (2) The level of representation and societal disparity is illustrated through aspects of the film such as, camera, lighting, music, and voices. (3) The level of ideology and portrayals of societal gap values can be assured to contain values of socialists and capitalists. In the aspect of socialists, the societal gap is seen as something that stands out because of the significant differences that exist between the different layers of society. Meanwhile, the capitalist values can be seen in how the movie has portrayed how a person with a higher position in the society is the capital holder and the ones that exist in the middle to the lower class of society depends themselves on the ones that resides on the higher class of society.

The presentation of this case study involves an exploration of the patient's journey in detail after having a traumatic wrist fracture, which is recognised as one of the most common fractures encountered daily in emergency services by junior doctors and practitioners. However, this article not only analyses the medical guidance for this type of case, but also the importance of the surgical care practitioner role in trauma and orthopaedics. All practitioners attending patients in emergency services are required to develop a good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, patient’s examination technique, classifications and consequently being aware of the possible surgical options for treatment of the fracture. They will also need to fully understand the legal implications of consent to ensure safe practice.

This paper portrays peer examination execution in showing talking aptitude in Senior High School understudies. The assessment was arranged as edifying examination in which the examiner filled in as a working observer. The investigation individuals in this assessment were the essential year understudies and a teacher who applied partner examination strategy in the senior optional school in Cilegon. The investigator applied a subsequent collaboration technique by seeing the homeroom using discernment sheet, and taking field notes to see the pattern of execution of companion assessment. In looking at the data, the expert used data decline, data show, and affirmation. The execution association of partner examination was showed up by the investigation lobby discernment in three phases; pre-execution of companion assessment, during peer examination, and post companion assessment. The expert moreover found that the productive execution of partner assessment was a consequence of the instructor's emphasis on offering score to the companions and raising the understudies' motivation to coordinate buddy examination, making them sure to play out the friend evaluation measure.
