This study aims to understand how to allocate overhead cost in rubber-processing factory of PT. Sumber Djantin Sambas using Activity-Based Costing method. Furthermore, this research also attempts to compare the allocation results of the existing costing systems in PT. Sumber Djantin Sambas with those created through Activity-Based Costing systems. To accomplish these objectives, this study applies case study method. The main sources of data come from interview transcript and cost and financial documents. This study results show that the cost of goods manufactured for product SIR 20 and compound rubber are overcosted. Betweeen these two products, SIR 20 is more overcosted. The total overcosting of these two products reaches Rp 2.749.997.488,57. Using Activity Based Costing, company can allocate the costs more accurately and reduce the distortion effect of costs which is caused by traditional overhead allocation method.

The Electrical & Electronic (E&E) company is one of Malaysia’s leading industries that has 24.5% in manufacturing sector production. With a continuous innovation of E&E company, the current costing being used is hardly to access the complete activities with variations required for each workstation to measure the un-used capacity in term of resources and cost. The objective of this work is to develop a new costing structure using time-driven activity-based costing (TDABC) at . This data collection was obtained at E&E company located at Kuantan, Pahang that focusing on magnetic component. The historical data was considered in 2018. TDABC is used to measure the un-used capacity by constructing the time equation and capacity cost rate. This work found three conditions of un-used capacity. Type I is pessimistic situation whereby according to winding toroid core, the un-used capacity of time and cost are -14820 hours and -MYR2.60 respectively. It means the system must sacrifice the time and cost more than actual apportionment. Type II is most likely situation whereby according to assembly process, the un-used capacity of time and cost are 7400 hours and MYR201575.45 respectively. It means the system minimize the time and cost which close to fully utilize from the actual apportionment. Type III is optimistic situation whereby according to alignment process, the un-used capacity of time and cost are 4120 hours and MYR289217.15 respectively. It means the system used small amount of cost and time from the actual apportionment.

Cost is an important factor in ensuring the company win in the competition on the market. Consumers will choose a manufacturer that is able to produce products and services that have high quality with low prices. Costs of Management Systems Contemporary emphasis on search than the allocation. And management based activities are at the heart of contemporary operating control system. At least two major factors that must be considered in the selection of cost driver (cost driver) are: the cost of measurement and the degree of correlation between the consumption cost driver with the actual overhead. Cost driver is divided into two categories, namely the structural cost driver and executional cost driver. Cost driver is the basis used to charge collected on cost pool to the product. So that the calculation of the cost through Time Driven activity-based costing system, the company obtain more precise information and accurate.

INTRODUCTION: Childhood immunisation is one of the most cost-effective activities in health care. However, New Zealand (NZ) has failed to achieve national coverage targets. NZ general practice is the primary site of service delivery and is funded on a fee-for-service basis for delivery of immunisation events. AIM: To determine the average cost to a general practice of delivering childhood immunisation events and to develop a cost model for the typical practice. METHODS: A purposeful selection of 24 diverse practices provided data via questionnaires and a daily log over a week. Costs were modelled using activity-based costing. RESULTS: The mean time spent on an immunisation activity was 23.8 minutes, with 90.7% of all staff time provided by practice nurses. Only 2% of the total time recorded was spent on childhood immunisation opportunistic activities. Practice nurses spent 15% of their total work time on immunisation activity. The mean estimated cost per vaccination event was $25.90; however, there was considerable variability across practices. A ‘typical practice’ model was developed to better understand costs at different levels of activity. CONCLUSIONS: The current level of immunisation benefit subsidy is considerably lower than the cost of a standard vaccination event, although there is wide variability across practices. The costs of delivery exceeding the subsidy may be one reason why there is an apparently small amount of time spent on extra opportunistic activities and a barrier to increasing efforts to raise immunisation rates. KEYWORDS: Immunisation; vaccination; patient care management; cost analysis; cost allocation

Full recognition, distribution and registration reflection overhead cost has a direct impact on the reliability of the determination of cost, which correlates with indicators of enterprise performance. Methodological difficulties for practicing accountant is the process of attributing overhead costs to fixed and variable, since this division in some situations a conventional signs. The same applies to the determination of "normal capacity". Domestic and foreign research and development of the abovementioned issues relating primarily base choosing the optimal allocation of overhead costs. Research conducted towards comparative analysis of different options cost allocation bases and their adaptation to the specific manufacturing process in specific sectors of the economy. Attention is also provided technical approaches include overheads in cost of sales in terms of its definition of the norms P (S) BU 16 «absorption cost» and according to popular in developed foreign countries approach «direct-costing», as well as in light of the requirements of the tax legislation.
