The emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) Shigella strains has impaired the efficacy of first-line antimicrobials and exacerbated diarrhea-associated morbidity and mortality worldwide. We report the draft genome sequences of 11 MDR Shigella strains isolated from the stool specimens of diarrheal patients in Bangladesh.

ABSTRACT Campylobacter jejuni is the pathogen most commonly associated with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS). The present work describes the draft genome sequences of 3 C. jejuni strains, BD39, BD67, and BD75, isolated from stool specimens of patients with C. jejuni-triggered GBS using Illumina technologies.

ABSTRACT Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (MRSP) is a globally emergent multidrug-resistant pathogen of dogs associated with nosocomial transmission in dogs and with potential zoonotic impacts. Here, we report the draft whole-genome sequences of 12 hospital-associated MRSP strains and their resistance genotypes and phenotypes.

Campylobacter jejuni is a major foodborne pathogen that plays an important role in spreading drug resistance. We report the draft genome sequences of two multidrug-resistant C. jejuni isolates which contained similar mutations in the CmeR box. This will improve the understanding of C. jejuni antimicrobial resistance and genetic characteristics.

Salmonella enterica serovar Dublin, which can cause enteritis and systemic infections in humans, has been associated with antimicrobial resistance. Here, we report draft genome sequences of seven multidrug-resistant S. Dublin isolates from human samples. These sequences will contribute to an understanding of pathogenesis and resistance determinants in this serovar.

Nontuberculous mycobacteria (NTM), some of which had multidrug-resistant profiles, were isolated from a tertiary care hospital setting. Although most NTM are nonpathogenic, contamination of hospital surfaces by these opportunistic pathogens poses a health risk to vulnerable inpatients.

The development of multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii is of serious concern in the hospital setting. Here, we report draft genome sequences of 11 A. baumannii isolates that were isolated from a single patient over a 65-day period, during which time the isolates exhibited increased antimicrobial resistance.

We present here the draft genome sequences of multidrug-resistant bla NDM-1 -positive Acinetobacter baumannii strains ACMH-6200 and ACMH-6201, isolated in north Lebanon from civilians wounded during the Syrian civil war. The draft genomes were contained in 217 contigs for ACMH-6200 and 83 contigs for ACMH-6201, including a combined 3,997,237 bases for ACMH-6200 and 3,983,110 bases for ACMH-6201, with 39% and 38.9% G+C content, respectively.
