Here, we report the complete genome sequence of the cytokinin-producing plant growth-promoting strain Pseudomonas fluorescens G20-18. The complete genome assembly resulted in a single, circular chromosome of 6.48 Mbp and harbors several secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters that are potentially involved in its plant growth-promoting function.

ABSTRACT Leuconostoc kimchii strain NKJ218 was isolated from homemade kimchi in South Korea. The whole genome was sequenced using the PacBio RS II and Illumina NovoSeq 6000 platforms. Here, we report a genome sequence of strain NKJ218, which consists of a 1.9-Mbp chromosome and three plasmid contigs. A total of 2,005 coding sequences (CDS) were predicted, including 1,881 protein-coding sequences.

We report here the complete genome sequence of Aeromonas rivipollensis KN-Mc-11N1, which was isolated from a wild nutria (Myocastor coypus) in South Korea. Genomic analysis indicated that A. rivipollensis may have zoonotic potential similar to that of other aeromonads, and nutria could be one of the sources of transmission of zoonotic pathogens to humans.

ABSTRACT Sphingobium barthaii KK22T is a high-molecular-weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-degrading soil bacterium that has been investigated in biotransformation, microbial ecology, and DNA damage studies. The complete genome sequence of S. barthaii revealed four closed circular sequences, including two chromosomes, a megaplasmid, and a smaller plasmid, by hybrid assembly using short- and long-read sequencing technologies.

Cupriavidus necator KK10 has been investigated in azaarene and diesel fuel biodegradation studies and is capable of polyhydroxyalkanoate production. Its complete genome sequence revealed two closed circular sequences, the chromosome (6.68 Mb) and plasmid (1.67 Mb). The KK10 genome carries functional genes potentially responsible for azaarene biodegradation and polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) biosynthesis.

ABSTRACT Roseimicrobium sp. strain ORNL1 is a soil bacterium that belongs to the phylum Verrucomicrobia and was isolated from the rhizosphere of a forest Eastern cottonwood tree, Populus deltoides, in Tennessee. Its 7.9-Mb chromosome was completely sequenced using PacBio long reads and is predicted to encode 6,288 proteins and 76 RNAs.

ABSTRACT Staphylococcus aureus phage pSa-3, isolated in South Korea from a sewage sample, has a 137-kb genome with 29% G+C content. This phage was targeted to control the bacteria in clinical isolates (mainly from skin lesions) and can be used in the decolonization of S. aureus.

ABSTRACT We report the complete genome sequence of Gordonia rubripertincta SD5, isolated from a soil-derived di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate-degrading enrichment culture. The final genome assembly consists of a 5.10-Mbp chromosome and a plasmid (159 kbp). A total of 4,814 coding sequences were predicted, including 4,741 protein-coding sequences.
