In this work, a new and low-cost Arduino-Based Data Acquisition System (ABDAS) for use in an aerodynamics lab is developed. Its design is simple and reliable. The accuracy of the system has been checked by being directly compared with a commercial and high accuracy level hardware from National Instruments. Furthermore, ABDAS has been compared to the accredited calibration system in the IDR/UPM Institute, its measurements during this testing campaign being used to analyzed two different cup anemometer frequency determination procedures: counting pulses and the Fourier transform. The results indicate a more accurate transfer function of the cup anemometers when counting pulses procedure is used.

For the nonlinearity of sensors always reduces the accuracy of control and detection system in engineering, a new compensation method based on MCU is put forward in this paper. To verify the feasibility of this method, a data acquisition system and compensation system are designed. The polynomial fitting is applied to obtain the functional relationship between input and output. Then the compensation system is tested on the resistive displacement sensor. The results show that after the compensation, the sensor error can be reduced to less than 1% and this method is identified to be practical.

Data acquisition system for barometric capacitive pressure sensor with high accuracy is present. The precision of the data acquisition system is less than 1fF, which improves the pressure sensor with high accuracy of 0.1hPa in the pressure range from 5hPa to 1080hPa. The data acquisition system consists of an AD7746 chip, an ATmega16 microprocessor, a 1602 LCD display and a pair of wireless modules. The capacitance data acquired by the AD7746 are transferred to a host computer using RS232 port via wireless module and display on the LCD in real-time. Preliminary results obtained from experiments show that this system fulfills the requirements of the weather observation and can be used in upper-air weather detection applications.

This paper describes the use of modern measuring and data acquisition system for determining characteristics of feromagnetic material. For this purpose data acquisition card NI USB-6009, PC with data acquisition software and fluxmeter Electrical Steel Measuring System MPG 100 D were used. Based on the results obtained by measurements the modeling of hysteresis loop is performed by using appropriate mathematical model.

In this research, the design of the force measuring system on main landing gear weight drop test for the LSU series that developed by LAPAN was carried out. The principle of this machine is to apply the load according to the weight of the aircraft on the main landing gear and drop it at a certain height assisted by the guiding rail. At the bottom of this machine there is a impact platform where each angle is mounted with a load cell that functions to measure the reaction force due to the impact of the main landing gear. In addition, there is a data acquisition system whose function is to process the output signal from load cell and display measurement data. The data acquisition system used consists of DAQ measurement hardware made by national instruments and LabVIEW software installed on a PC. The design of this testing tools aims to carry out a dynamic impact test on the main landing gear structure of the UAV. In this study, static calibration has also been successfully performed on the impact platform and shows consistent results for various test masses.
