AbstractThe Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a future electron–positron collider that will allow measurements of the trilinear Higgs self-coupling in double Higgs boson events produced at its high-energy stages with collision energies from $$\sqrt{s}$$ s  = 1.4 to 3 TeV. The sensitivity to the Higgs self-coupling is driven by the measurements of the cross section and the invariant mass distribution of the Higgs-boson pair in the W-boson fusion process, $$\text {e}^{+}\text {e}^{-}\rightarrow {\text {H}\text {H}\nu \bar{\nu }}$$ e + e - → HH ν ν ¯ . It is enhanced by including the cross-section measurement of ZHH production at 1.4 TeV. The expected sensitivity of CLIC for Higgs pair production through W-boson fusion is studied for the decay channels $$\mathrm{b}\bar{\mathrm{b}}\mathrm{b}\bar{\mathrm{b}}$$ b b ¯ b b ¯   and $$\mathrm{b}\bar{\mathrm{b}}\mathrm{W}\mathrm{W}^{*}$$ b b ¯ W W ∗   using full detector simulation including all relevant backgrounds at $$\sqrt{s}$$ s = 1.4 TeV with an integrated luminosity of $$\mathcal {L}$$ L  = 2.5 ab$$^{-1}$$ - 1 and at $$\sqrt{s}$$ s = 3 TeV with $$\mathcal {L}$$ L  = 5 ab$$^{-1}$$ - 1 . Combining $$\text {e}^{+}\text {e}^{-}\rightarrow {\text {H}\text {H}\nu \bar{\nu }}$$ e + e - → HH ν ν ¯ and ZHH  cross-section measurements at 1.4 TeV with differential measurements in $$\text {e}^{+}\text {e}^{-}\rightarrow {\text {H}\text {H}\nu \bar{\nu }}$$ e + e - → HH ν ν ¯ events at 3 TeV, CLIC will be able to measure the trilinear Higgs self-coupling with a relative uncertainty of $$-8\%$$ - 8 % and $$ +11\%$$ + 11 % at 68% C.L., assuming the Standard Model. In addition, prospects for simultaneous constraints on the trilinear Higgs self-coupling and the Higgs-gauge coupling HHWW are derived based on the $${\text {H}\text {H}\nu \bar{\nu }}$$ HH ν ν ¯ measurement.

In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), the bottom Yukawa coupling of the Higgs boson can considerably deviate from its Standard Model prediction due to nondecoupling effects. We point out that the ratio of the Higgs boson decay branching fraction to a bottom quark pair and that to a W-boson pair from the same production channel is particularly sensitive to large additional MSSM Higgs boson mass regions at future electron–positron colliders. Based on this precision measurement, we explicitly show the indirect discovery reach of the additional Higgs bosons according to planned programs of the International Linear Collider.

We study the prospects of theB-Lmodel with an additionalZ′boson to be a Higgs boson factory at high-energy and high-luminosity linear electron positron colliders, such as the ILC and CLIC, through the Higgs-strahlung processe+e-→(Z,Z′)→Zh, including both the resonant and the nonresonant effects. We evaluate the total cross section ofZhand we calculate the total number of events for integrated luminosities of 500–2000 fb−1and center of mass energies between 500 and 3000 GeV. We find that the total number of expectedZhevents can reach 106, which is a very optimistic scenario and it would be possible to perform precision measurements for bothZ′and Higgs boson in future high-energye+e-colliders experiments.

We consider the measurement of the trilinear couplings of the neutral Higgs bosons in the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) at a high energy [Formula: see text] linear collider in the light of the discovery of a Higgs boson at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We identify the state observed at the LHC with the lightest Higgs boson [Formula: see text] of the MSSM, and impose the constraints following from this identification, as well as other experimental constraints on the MSSM parameter space. In order to measure trilinear neutral Higgs couplings, we consider different processes where the heavier Higgs boson [Formula: see text] of the MSSM is produced in electron–positron collisions, which subsequently decays into a pair of lighter Higgs boson. We identify the regions of the MSSM parameter space where it may be possible to measure the trilinear couplings of the Higgs boson at a future electron–positron collider. A measurement of the trilinear Higgs couplings is a crucial step in the construction of the Higgs potential, and hence in establishing the phenomena of spontaneous symmetry breaking in gauge theories.

Abstract Using modern multiloop calculation methods, we derive the analytical expressions for the total cross sections of the processes e−γ →$$ {e}^{-}X\overline{X} $$ e − X X ¯ with X = μ, γ or e at arbitrary energies. For the first two processes our results are expressed via classical polylogarithms. The cross section of e−γ → e−e−e+ is represented as a one-fold integral of complete elliptic integral K and logarithms. Using our results, we calculate the threshold and high-energy asymptotics and compare them with available results.

We study the WWγ vertex through the process γq→Wq′ where q denotes the quark at a future high energy collider. The differential cross-section for the photoproduction process γq→Wq′ is computed with both anomalous magnetic moment κ and electric quadrupole moment λ for the W-boson. The deep inelastic photoproduction of W± is also calculated in a quark-parton model.

We investigate the effective field theory (EFT) which gives the approximate description of the scattering of two hard small dipoles in the small x processes in QCD near the black disc limit (BDL). We argue that the perturbative QCD approaches predict the existence of tachyon and visualize it in the approximation where α′P=0. We demonstrate that the high energy behavior of the cross-section depends strongly on the diffusion law in the impact parameter plane. On the other hand, almost threshold behavior of the cross section of the hard processes and multiplicities, i.e. fast increase of cross sections (color inflation), melting of ladders into color network and softening of the longitudinal distributions of hadrons are qualitatively insensitive to the value of diffusion in the impact parameter space. We evaluate α′P near the black disk limit and find significant α′P as the consequence of the probability conservation.

Abstract We present the full NLO electroweak radiative corrections to $e^+e^-\gamma$ production in $\gamma\gamma$ collision, which is an ideal channel for calibrating the beam luminosity of Photon Linear Collider. We analyse the dependence of the total cross section on the beam colliding energy, and investigate the kinematic distributions of final particles at various initial photon beam polarizations at EW NLO accuracy. The numerical results show that the EW relative corrections to the total cross section are non-negligible and become more and more significant as the increase of the beam colliding energy, even can exceed $-10\%$ in $\text{J} = 2$ $\gamma\gamma$ collision at $\sqrt{\hat{s}}=1~ \text{TeV}$. Such EW corrections are very important and should be taken into consideration in precision theoretical and experimental studies at high-energy $\gamma\gamma$ colliders.

The interaction of high-energy leptons with components of Dark Matter in a hypercolor model is considered. The possibility of detection, using IceCube secondary neutrinos produced by quasielastic scattering of cosmic ray electrons off hidden mass particles, is investigated. The dominant contribution to the cross section results from diagrams with scalar exchanges. A strong dependence of the total cross section on the Dark Matter components mass is also found.

In the framework of stabilized brane-world models we consider the contribution of the W′ boson and the rest of the W boson KK tower to the Higgs boson decay to two photons and to the single top production process. Comparing the signal strengths calculated in this approach with the experimental ones obtained at the LHC and taking into account the expected improvements at future high luminosity HL-LHC, high energy HE-LHC, and FCC-hh projects, we get predictions for the limits on the W' boson mass depending on its coupling to SM fermions.

We calculate the cross-section of the near-threshold off-shell ZZZ and ZW+W-production at the International Linear Collider taking into account their instability and the principal part of next-to-leading order corrections. The calculations are performed in the framework of the model of unstable particles with smeared mass-shell. We show that the contribution of the finite Z/W and H widths (their instability) is large in the Higgs resonance range (about -24% and -18% for ZZZ and ZW+W-, respectively, at [Formula: see text]) and should be taken into account in the Higgs boson studies at the future International Linear Collider.
