Scientific WorkFlows (SWFs) play significant roles in scientific research and engineering simulation, which are often data intensive and has complex data dependencies. The storage of massive intermediate datasets has great impacts on the performance and the quality of service of a SWF system, which has become a difficult and complex task. Through analyzing the cost transitive tournament shortest path (CTT-SP)-based algorithm proposed for the intermediate data storage in SWF systems, the disadvantage of the CTT-SP algorithm over its sensitivity to the main branches can be found. We proposed an improved CTT-SP algorithm based on the critical path method (CPM), aiming at reducing the sensitivity of the main branch and improving the performance of the algorithm. By adding the generation information of the datasets on the arrows, the data dependency graph of a SWF can be converted to an activity on arrow (AOA) net. Then, the critical path of the AOA net is used to be the main branch of the CTT-SP algorithm, which can reduce the impacts of the main branch and keep the quality of service of the SWF systems. Experiments are designed to test the impacts of the main branches and the performance of the improved CTT-SP algorithms. The results show the significant impacts of the main branches on the performance of the CTT-SP algorithm and the effectiveness of the CPM on improving the performance of the CTT-SP algorithm. Comparison results demonstrate the positiveness and effectiveness of the improved CTT-SP algorithm.

Various industrial, scientific and commercial processes involve wireless mesh networks in the recent days. These technologies improve communication technology to a large extent which has led to an increase in utilization of these systems in various fields. In application with intense and complex data flow, improving the quality of service (QoS) has been a challenge and a focus of research leading to more advanced wireless communication systems. This paper provides a novel optimization algorithm for improving the QoS in hybrid wireless networks while preventing malware and routing attacks. The concept of QoS and hybrid wireless networks are examined at the initial stage. Further, the algorithm for optimizing the service quality in the network is proposed accordingly. The ability of data transfer is benefited by data packets in this algorithm. Load distribution is performed such that overcrowding is prevented and information routing is done efficiently though the nodes. Delay or routing is created and control messages are sent for withholding data when certain nodes are overcrowded. This reduces the delay created by overcrowding by 50% while maintaining the permittivity.

The service oriented infrastructures for real-time applications (“real-time clouds1”) pose certain unique challenges for the data storage subsystem, which indeed is the “last mile” for all data accesses. Data storage subsystems typically used in regular enterprise environments have many limitations which impedes direct applicability for such clouds, particularly in their ability to provide Quality of Service (QoS) for applications. Provision of QoS within storage is possible through a deeper understanding of the behaviour of the storage system under a variety of conditions dictated by the application and the network infrastructure. We intend to arrive at a QoS mechanism for data storage keeping in view the important parameters that come into play for the storage subsystem in a soft real-time cloud environment.

Most popular scientific workflow systems can now support the deployment of tasks to the cloud. The execution of workflow on cloud has become a multi-objective scheduling in order to meet the needs of users in many aspects. Cost and makespan are considered to be the two most important objects. In addition to these, there are some other Quality-of-Service (QoS) parameters including system reliability, energy consumption and so on. Here, we focus on three objectives: cost, makespan and system reliability. In this paper, we propose a Multi-objective Evolutionary Algorithm on the Cloud (MEAC). In the algorithm, we design some novel schemes including problem-specific encoding and also evolutionary operations, such as crossover and mutation. Simulations on real-world and random workflows are conducted and the results show that MEAC can get on average about 5% higher hypervolume value than some other workflow scheduling algorithms.

Quality of Service (QoS) has a significant role in the provision of resources within service oriented distributed systems. In Quality of Service, cloud computing creates new challenges for improvements using the concept of virtualization. Currently, Cloud Computing is very emerging technology in every field of data storage and resource distribution over the network. Considering this new emerging technology, for the ease of data accessibility, price, resource use, restoration, response time and number of constraints the quality performance measures need to be upgraded. The paper highlights the research gap in providing a solution to achieve a Quality of Services in Cloud Computing. We also review the issues and challenges arising in cloud computing to guarantee quality.

Testing hypotheses about service quality management in IT infrastructure requires large and complex data centers with sufficient resources to explore various possible scenarios of infrastructure operation during the provisioning of IT services. For testing purposes, dozens of solutions already exist, but all of them don’t consider critical aspect of IT infrastructure. In order to solve this issue general mathematical model for quality of service management in critical infrastructures was introduced. Based on the proposed model simplest set of tools was developed for creating heavy simulations which can cover criticality during functioning.

Data storage appears as a central component of the problematic associated with the move of processes and resources in the cloud. Whether it is a simple storage externalization for backup purposes, use of hosted software services or virtualization in a third-party provider of the company computing infrastructure, data security is crucial. This security declines according to three axes: data availability, integrity and confidentiality. Numerous techniques targeting these three issues exist, but none presents the combined guarantees that would allow a practical implementation. The authors’ solution relies on the integration of these techniques to a virtualization middleware. Quality of service definition allows specifying the nature of the security to implement with a seamless access.

In 2015, a dust explosion occurred in New Taipei Water Park in Taiwan, and 499 casualties was appallingly high. In fact, the government spent 208 min of response time from receiving calls for emergency to sending the last wounded person to hospital. To stop a similar accident happening again, a well-prepared strategy, with an aim to reduce the rescue time, to respond to such an emergency is necessary. This study mainly focuses on the execution of mass casualty operations while both efficiency and quality of care are considered. We not only find that there is only 1 h or less to allocate rescue resources after a Burn Mass Casualty Incident (BMCI) happens but also shorten the response time. It is our first time to use a special method, called Critical Path Method (CPM), to analyze the rescue process. But before CPM is created, the benefit of available resources should be maximized, and timely, safe, and effective emergency medical services should be provided. With CPM, the interrelations of every activity can be visualized, and the most time-consuming activity can be found by this efficient time management. If the relationship between the predecessors and its successors operations of the most time-consuming activity item is reshaped, BMCI prehospital scheduling management becomes more effective based on its efficiency and quality of care.

The aims of this study are to measure the level of service quality and how to improve the quality of service execution in re-measurement tera and tera of UTTP in Commerce On duty Co-Operation, Industrial and Commerce Of Sub-Province of Pacitan. This research’s object is traditional market of Minulyo Pacitan as mains market in Sub-Province of Pacitan with 100 perpetrator people of sample as user/owner of UTTP (ukur, timbang, takar, dan perlengkapannya) with method intake of sampel by Convenience Sampling. The technique of collecting data uses questionnaires and direct interview. This research use qualitative analysis instrument test of validity and reliability to know valid or not and reliabel or not about the questions of questionnaire. Then, this research was done with Servqual method as instrument to do measurement of service quality. The measurement of service quality in Servqual method pursuant to five service dimension that is tangibles, responsiveness, realibility, assurance, and empathy. This research will be measured of gap 5 that is difference among performance and its expectation. Ad for yielded gap from a enumeration of Servqual 5 gap, -146 progressively lower him mount the quality of given service activities. Therefore, its needs the existence of priority repair of service quality, in this case is service of remeasurement tera and tera of UTTP at biggest difference or gap that is at variable of Responsiveness ( Energy Listen carefully) and attribute that has smallest difference that is – 0.44 at dimension question of variable of Tangibles ( Evidence Physical).
