Introduction. The historical sources did not give the detail description of all the policies of the Byzantine government in the rule of Tiberius Constantinus the August (578–582). Modern historiography usually follows their data without attracting of opportunities, which could be offered by the interdisciplinary methods. As a result, the full-length picture of the reign of Tiberius II has not been made yet. This statement is correct regarding different sectors of the emperor’s policies and his financial policy as well. Methods. Special method of study for such object was approved in earlier author’s publications. It bases on definition of a financial policy in the modern economics and, as consequence, on the use of data which are not mentioned by literary tradition and not noticed by the traditional historiography. As a result, the studying subject gets prodigious volume and versatility. Analysis and results. The analysis of the Tiberius II’s multi-aspect activity through prism of the imperial finance has allowed to see the results of his financial policy in those state life spheres that were not connected with the public finances immediately. In this connection the axiomatic facts and then events have received revaluation; some comparison of expenses and empire incomes was spent; the conclusion on quality of emperor’s political management was drawn. Besides, existence in head of this August of an original conception of the financial policy was ascertained. Its feature was the provision of payments balance in the sphere of foreign policy in every way. This emperor showed his organizing ability through the innovation in redistribution of resources between different state departments. Regular and extraordinary imperial budgets lost former precise frames of their functional activity. But moreover, Tiberius II has not gone into extremes of the private-owner attitude to the state finances. The moderation and rationalism of his financial policy did allow to avoid the full devastation of treasury in the period of his individual reign.

In this paper, a special method based on the neural network is presented, which is conveniently used to precompute the steps of numerical integration. This method approximates the behaviour of the numerical integrator with respect to the local truncation error. In other words, it allows the precomputation of the individual steps in such a way that they do not need to be estimated by an algorithm but can be directly estimated by a neural network. Experimental tests were performed on a series of electrical circuits with different component parameters. The method was tested for two integration methods implemented in the simulation program SPICE (Trapez and Gear). For each type of circuit, a custom network was trained. Experimental simulations showed that for well-defined problems with a sufficiently trained network, the method allows in most cases reducing the total number of iteration steps performed by the algorithm during the simulation computation. Applications of this method, drawbacks, and possible further optimizations are also discussed.

The article discusses the issues of determining the qualitative and quantitative composition of the combustion products from synthetic and natural materials. Multicomponent mixtures of volatile combustion products contain compounds of inorganic and organic origin. To determine the composition of the combustion products from various materials there is proposed the methodology and principles of laboratory research using such instruments as gas and gas-liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy, and visible-field spectroscopy. These methods make it possible to identify certain chemicals. For example, organic compounds are analyzed by chromatography. Inorganic substances are determined by converting them into colored compounds and by analyzing their spectrum in the visible and ultraviolet regions. When developing methods of chromatographic and spectrophotometric studies, it is proposed first of all to identify the qualitative composition of combustion products based on information about the composition of polymer molecules of the studied natural or synthetic materials. Such an assessment, as an example, was made by studying the combustion products of polyethylene. The molecular weights were determined using the MX-1312 chromatomassefusiometer. To determine the molecular weight of a substance, a mathematic formula was obtained based on mathematical processing of experimental data. A special method has been developed to reduce the processing time of effusiograms (by 10-15 times). Much attention is paid to the sorbents used in chromatographic columns, their temperature conditions, and methods of preparing samples for research. Methods of identification of various components in a mixture of combustion products using various detectors are considered. The results of studies of the combustion products from different materials are presented in tabular form, with the calculated toxicity indices, С, estimated according to the literature data (lethal concentration for humans at half-hour exposure) are indicated in parentheses.

Abstract The first studies of geological evidences of coastal coseismic subsidence (associated with subduction-zone earthquakes) were carried out in Russia at the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, in Kamchatka. We developed a special method based on tephrostratigraphy and tephrochronology, descriptions and dating of the soil-pyroclastic sequence (SPS) overlying the coastal wave-build beach ridges. Three seismic events accompanied by coastal coseismic subsidence were detected in the northern part of Avachinsky Bay during the past ~5 thousand years. We found subsidence from one of the greatest historical tsunamigenic earthquake (1952 AD) south of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. We identified, that 5 events of coastal coseismic subsidence had occurred during the past ~6 thousand years at the coast of Kronotsky Bay and Shipunsky Peninsula. Amplitudes of subsidence were estimated by geological data using three different methods. Erosion of the active beach and marine accumulative terrace becomes active after coastal subsidence. We calculated the shoreline retreat process and the amount of horizontal erosion by numerical simulation using Bruun rule. In some areas, shoreline retreat was about 300 m according to the model results.

This library research aims to examine the existence of scientists as an independent science, which has a special method and at the same time the usefulness of anthropology in people's lives. The writing approach method used is a qualitative approach with a bibliographic method. This means that in writing this article the writer collects, selects, analyzes and presents various writings sourced from various literature books and other written sources. Syntheses from various sources are presented and assembled to obtain conclusions. The results of the literature review show that anthropology as an independent science fulfills the requirements for a philosophy of science that must contain elements of ontology, epistemology and axiology. These three elements are found in anthropology because anthropology has certain methods and benefits for many people's lives, which in the subsequent development of anthropology is not only a pure science but also an applied science.

Background: Understanding the true world of children needs a special method. Using aesthetic expressions through artworks with reflections assists nurse researchers in exploring children’s feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in relation to their health and well-being. Objective: This article focuses on the use of aesthetic expressions as innovative data sources in a study of the lived worlds of children experiencing advanced cancer. Method: The use of aesthetic expressions in Gadamerian hermeneutic phenomenology and aesthetics, by means of van Manen’s approach using draw and write, is examined as a suitable approach in a study of the lived worlds of children experiencing advanced cancer. Results: The aesthetic expressions through the Draw-and-Write method of data generation were well-suited to a hermeneutic phenomenological study involving the group of Filipino children living with advanced cancer. The children drew images and figures of themselves, their families, classmates, friends, and teachers in several places and events during the series of two days. The drawings showed their facial expressions, home, parents, hospital stay, school activities, extracurricular activities, and other daily activities. Conclusion: Aesthetic expression linked to art and connected to human experience drew the participants into different realms and expanded their perceptual capacities so that the fullness of the meaning of the experience was appreciated. The understanding of the experience through aesthetic expression provided sensitivity to and awareness of the variation of experience among children with advanced cancer. It is hoped that this paper can contribute to an understanding of aesthetic expressions as pathways to understanding and support health professionals as they embark on their goal of creating or restoring a comfortable relationship with children.  Funding: This study obtained a research scholarship grant from Thailand Education Hub for ASEAN Countries (TEH-AC).

Pottali kalpanas are the distinctive preparations among Rasayogas, used to treat various disease conditions. It stands in the highest place among the Murchita Parada yogas because of its bonding nature as well as its efficacy. These preparations are famous for its unique method of preparation, quick administration and easy mode of transport. Usage of Pottali kalpas dates back 12th century A.D and about 87 different Pottali preparations are available in Rasagranthas. Putapaka, Gandhaka dravapaka, Kaparda/Shankha purana and Bhavana are the different methods of Pottali kalpana preparations. Gandhakadrava paka is the special method came into existence in 13th century for Soushthava sampadna (to allure patients by its colour). Garbha Pottalis come under Gandhaka Drava paka method where dhatu paka is done in garbha (midst) of Gandhaka Drava. Pravala garbha Pottali is one such rare formulation from Pottali rahasya of Rasayogasagara, which contains Sudhavarga dravyas along with Parada. Here, this study was taken to know the importance of Gandhakadrava paka and Paka parinama with respect to Pravalagarbha Pottali and studied pharmaceutically and analytically (XRD).

Subject. Dentine pathology is widely prevalent among children in many countries around the globe, which determines the relevance of consideration, organisation and performance of different forms of health education activities for this part of the population. Programmes for dental disease prevention are represented by different methods and means, the purpose of which is creation of correct skills and abilities aimed at preservation and maintenance of oral cavity health. For blind and hyposeeing children, there is absence of special technology for teaching dental culture and rational hygiene of the oral cavity. Aim – studying and analysis and literature related to forms and methods of health education activities for children with consideration for their somatic status. Methods. The study was carried out based on the search for and analysis of original articles devoted to issues of dental disease prevention among children and adolescents in the following databases: ELIBRARY, PubMed, Medline, Cyberleninka. A total of 45 sources have been analysed (25 by Russian and 20 foreign authors). Conclusions. Preventive dental care programmes for conventionally healthy children at the modern stage of development are sufficiently effective, diverse in their contents, point at the necessity of further introduction of individual preventive care activities. Few organisational forms of health education activities have been developed for children with health limitations. There is no special method for organisation of health education activities for blind and hyposeeing children. These circumstances point at the necessity of development and introduction of correction methods for primary prevention of oral cavity diseases for this category of subjects.

Max-plus algebra is a special method to describe the discrete event system. In this paper, it is introduced to describe the motion of lower limb exoskeleton. Based on the max-plus algebra and the timed event graph, the walking process of exoskeleton is modelled. The max-plus algebra approach can describe the logical sequence and safety condition in the walking process, which cannot be achieved via other conventional modelling approaches. The autonomous control of lower limb exoskeleton system is studied via the model based on max-plus algebra. In the end, an FSM (finite state machine) controller embedded with the max-plus algebra model is proposed, and the experiments show ideal speed and gait/phase period control effect, as well as the good safety and stable performance.
