Designing on a Vehicle Body Control Module Performance Tester

To test short-circuits between vehicle body control module (BCM) pins, to measure window glass-frame riser and vehicle central control door lock motors’ working current, working voltage and maximum open and close time, a kind of BCM performance tester is designed. MC9S12XS128 singlechip is used to act as the performance tester CPU. PAB817 photo couplers are used to act as high and low power supply isolated devices. ACS712-30A is used to act as motor working current sensor. One MAX232 is used to act as serial port communication element between the BCM performance tester and the computer. The brand XXX BCM is tested by the BCM performance tester. The results indicate that the BCM performance tester can meet the needs. The detecting results can afford proof for vehicle manufacturers and vehicle parts manufacturers to judge the BCM quality.

The looseness of tires or even falling off from cars will lead to serious traffic accidents. Once it occurs, it will bring casualties and huge economic losses to society, seriously affecting the traffic safety. To mitigate such possible safety concerns, an early loosening warning system is developed in this article. The system consists of the tire monitoring module and the working control module. The tire monitoring module is installed on the tire and is designed with no power supply. The control module is installed in the vehicle body. Signal transmission between the two modules is achieved through wireless radio frequency. In the driving, once the tire is loosened, the monitoring device will send out the alarm signal automatically and wirelessly. After the driver gets the alarm signal, he can immediately perform the emergency processing, parking, and inspection, which can avoid traffic accidents caused by it. This article introduces the detailed structure, working principle, and operation process of the system. This early warning system has simple structure, high reliability, and is easy to use. It can be used in the common working environment of automobiles. Meanwhile, it is also the foundation of intelligent connected vehicle.

In order to prevent the ammonia leak caused casualties incidents, this paper adopts ZigBee wireless technology to real-time monitoring of ammonia concentration. Equipped with MQ137 ammonia sensor in the terminal node, and the use of STM8 microcontroller collected the ammonia concentration data. The data will be transmitted to the coordinator through ZigBee. Using LabVIEW to design the monitoring interface of computer, and read concentration data through the serial port communication. When the ammonia concentration exceeds the preset value, the GSM module will send the location of leak in the form of short messages to staff. Through the reasonable arrangement of sensor nodes in ammonia production workshop, can effectively avoid the ammonia leak hurting the safety of people's life and property.

The cost for application software and propriatry standards (i.e. data structure and formats) required for storing clinicaldatasets from electronic device cause the use of time-consuming paper-based documentation and/or the transfer ofelectronic lab records manually to the PC database systems in Mother-Offspring Malaria Study (MOMS) LaboratoryUnit located in Morogoro Regional Hospital, Tanzania. We have explored the ability to extract laboratory results fromHaematology analyzer machine for easy management, access and storage. The methodology and tools used during thestudy includes; site survey and hands-on practice for requirement engineering, visual basic 6.0 for interface design andMicrosoft Access for relational database design. The study has developed a model “ CO mpose- TRA ansmit- CO nvent-CO mpose” convention (acronym COTRACOCO) to implements an open serial port interface that required only a driverclass to execute the labs outputs for storage in database with at run-time with less programming knowledge. The studydemonstrated that the COTRACOCO convention presented is general and may promote a new paradigm for establishingthe robust serial port communication systems for any digital device.

In this paper, a Fast Fuzzy processor (FP) is proposed. This processor, which is implemented using FPGA, has four inputs and one output with 8-bits width for each. The proposed processor is synthesized, functionally verified and implemented using Xilinx Integrated Software Environment (ISE) and is tested using Xilinx Spartan 3E starter kit. A PC Graphical User Interface (GUI) is programmed using C# programming language to select and download the parameters of the processor through the serial port communication. The proposed processor is experimentally tested through water sprinkler system example. The experimental results approve the excellent performance of the proposed processor.

Aptamers are a new kind of nano-probes for bioassays and drug delivery, etc. In this paper, software has been developed as an automatic control center for the automated aptamer selecting system which realized the high integration of aptamer selection, data acquisition and processing. This software, applied in windows system, is developed by C# with the Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 integrated developing environment and the database used in this software is implemented using open source relational database MYSQL. According to the requirement analysis, this software realized various important necessary functions including feasible experiment design, auto-control of the hardware, real time process monitoring and efficient data management which perfectly satisfies the users’ demands. During the actual experiment operation, this software worked smoothly and assumed stable serial port communication between it and the hardware, meanwhile, the interaction between the software and MYSQL remained good stability. As a consequence, it is practical and reasonable to apply this software to the automated aptamer selecting system for research.
