In order to prevent the ammonia leak caused casualties incidents, this paper adopts ZigBee wireless technology to real-time monitoring of ammonia concentration. Equipped with MQ137 ammonia sensor in the terminal node, and the use of STM8 microcontroller collected the ammonia concentration data. The data will be transmitted to the coordinator through ZigBee. Using LabVIEW to design the monitoring interface of computer, and read concentration data through the serial port communication. When the ammonia concentration exceeds the preset value, the GSM module will send the location of leak in the form of short messages to staff. Through the reasonable arrangement of sensor nodes in ammonia production workshop, can effectively avoid the ammonia leak hurting the safety of people's life and property.

In view of the existing flaws of traditional manual observations, a new type of tailing reservoir safety monitoring and warning system based on ZigBee and LabVIEW was designed. The system chose SoC chip CC2530 as the RF transceiver and designed the low-power wireless sensor networks nodes to collect and process the data of tailing reservoir. It chose ZigBee 2007 as the network communication protocol, and uploaded the data to PC by RS232 serial port. The monitoring and warning interface of PC was completed with LabVIEW. The testing results show that the data transmission of the network is stable and the system is suitable for real-time monitoring and warning of the tungsten tailing reservoir.

As the development of carbon diocide sensors and communication technology, the method for monitoring the concentration of carbon dioxide is more and more advanced, especially the traditonal methods have the disadvantage of the low accuracy and inconvenience on use. This paper puts forward a wireless sensor networks based on TC35 module and the method of the signal transmitting. Through the application of wireless technology, the MCU could send the carbon diocide concentration data from the carbon diocide sensor which is based on the NDIR technology to the process module, and the system could achieve the distant measurement of the carbon diocide displayed on the LED. Comparing with wire monitor system, wireless monitor system omits linking lines and it has good application prospect.

Natural disasters have mercilessly devastated our lives in so many different terms. The impact of Earthquake and landslides are very severe because of their unpredictability. To alleviate the problem early warning system plays an important role. In this paper, we proposed an integrated earthquake and landslide monitoring system overthewireless sensor network. The Wireless Sensor Network is programmed to acquire the data, which is monitored and controlled centrally or independently and can be distributed widely in a random or planned deployment. By detecting suspicious indications such as tremor or landslides through sensor nodes, the system provides information to the monitoring and warning station. The processing unit is composed of arduino and Sensors such as 4.5 Flex Sensor, Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor and a3-Dimensional Accelerometer are used in the proposed system to monitor landmass displacement/movement, the moisture level of the soil and the vibrations for earthquakes respectively. An RF module, XBee S2C is used which provides wireless communication with a range of about a 1 km line of sight and 60 meters indoor. The real-time data can be accessed via the internet. It will be powered from a 12V 20W solar panel with rechargeable Li-Ion Battery and fitted with necessary protection and charging circuit boards. The proposed system can be used in earthquake and landslide prone area to avoid damages to life and property in the area of operation by providing crucial information and further warning for any disastrous development. The proposed system is implemented through experiments and proved to be effective

Intisari — Bencana alam seperti gerakan tanah atau longsor dapat terjadi pada berbagai skala dan kecepatan. Untuk meminimalkan kerugian akibat bencana tersebut maka dilakukan usaha mengenal tanda-tanda yang mengawali gerakan tanah, atau disebut sebagai mitigasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang wireless sensor network yang mampu mengidentifikasi bencana longsor. Node sensor terdiri dari: sensor getaran, sensor kemiringan lahan, sensor pergeseran lahan, kontroler, dan modul transmisi data. Node-node sensor ini ditanam pada daerah yang rawan longsor dan saling berkomunikasi antara node satu dengan lainnya. Data-data berupa getaran, kemiringan lahan, dan status selalu ditransmisikan ke base station sistem peringatan dini longsor secara realtime. Ketika bencana longsor akan segera terjadi node sensor diharapkan mampu mendeteksi dan mengaktifkan alarm yang ada pada node sensor serta mengirimkan tanda bahaya ke base station. Kata Kunci — longsor, wireless sensor network, node sensor, mikrokontroler   Abstrak — Natural disasters such as land movements or landslides can occur at various scales and speeds. To minimize damages due to the disaster, an effort is made to recognize the signs that initiate soil movements or referred to as mitigation. This research was conducted to design a wireless sensor network that can identify landslides. Sensor nodes consist of vibration sensor, slope sensor, land shift sensor, controller, and data transmission module. These sensor nodes are planted in areas inclined to landslides and communicate with each other between nodes. The data vibration, the slope of the land, and status are always transmitted to the base station of the landslide early warning system in real time. When an landslide will occur soon the sensor node is expected to be able to detect and activate the alarm on the sensor node and send an signal to the base station. <p>Establishment of wireless sensor network for Monitoring and Early Warning System (MEWS) of rainfall-induced landslide is still a challenging task due to problems of energy consumption. This research aim is to propose a new flexible system for the configuration of MEWS for rainfall-induced landslides. The proposed system is an integration a star topology and a tree topology, in which, the star topology is automatically used for the sensor nodes around the gateway node, whereas the tree topology is adopted for the other nodes. Consequently, the proposed configuration method is flexible and capable to save the energy consumption in the MEWS. Experiment result showed that the performance of the MEWS with the proposed method Wireless Sensor Network is better than those from the systems only use the tree topology or the star topology. The result of this study is useful for designing WSN for MEWS of rainfall-induced landslides.</p>

This paper designed a kind of efficient IOT transmission platform based on wireless sensor network and GPRS network. Using the multi-mode sensor nodes composed of temperature-humidity senor and acceleration sensor, realize the effective detection of geological disaster, such as landslide and debris flow. After experimental verification, the IOT platform based on the two levels of network structures, can effectively transmit the monitoring point's information, such as the surface humidity, tilt angle and displacement. The system has long transmission distance and low power consumption.The system will have certain engineering value in the field of geological monitoring.

According to the solar LED lights characteristics, combined with ZigBee technology and ATmage128L microprocessor. A used in street light control system for wireless sensor network technology solutions, given the sensor nodes and ZigBee routing and the coordinator node hardware and software implementations. The applications show that the system can effectively improve the LED streetlight system reliability, safety and economy. Offers a good hardware platform for wireless sensor networks applied research.

ZigBee is a low-rate, low-power-consumption wireless communication technology, which can be widely used in the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). ZigBee wireless network is applied to the monitoring system of gas flow meters in this paper. The design of hardware and software of the system based on Zigbee chip is given. The gas flow data is uploaded to the terminal node via RS485 serial port, and the terminal node transmits the data to the coordinator by the ZigBee wireless network, and then the coordinator sends the data to the PC by using RS232 serial port. In this way, the monitoring center can manage and analyze the data, so the real-time monitoring can be realized. It has been proved that the system has strong anti-interference ability, safe and reliable and stable operation.

LEACH technique is a subpart of WSN. It’s an autonomous system which is connected with wireless technology. Now in the current time there is a huge demand of wireless sensor routing network devices like mobile phones, palmtop, laptop, cellular phones, PDA, s and other devices. This technology is consisting tons of very much tiny sensor nodes. This technique is able to monitor both the environment for civil and military applications. In this technique communication protocol which have significant impact of energy dissipation of these networks. Mobile adhoc network consist a group of mobile nodes which is liable to communicate with other nodes with the same infrastructure.
