The cost for application software and propriatry standards (i.e. data structure and formats) required for storing clinicaldatasets from electronic device cause the use of time-consuming paper-based documentation and/or the transfer ofelectronic lab records manually to the PC database systems in Mother-Offspring Malaria Study (MOMS) LaboratoryUnit located in Morogoro Regional Hospital, Tanzania. We have explored the ability to extract laboratory results fromHaematology analyzer machine for easy management, access and storage. The methodology and tools used during thestudy includes; site survey and hands-on practice for requirement engineering, visual basic 6.0 for interface design andMicrosoft Access for relational database design. The study has developed a model “ CO mpose- TRA ansmit- CO nvent-CO mpose” convention (acronym COTRACOCO) to implements an open serial port interface that required only a driverclass to execute the labs outputs for storage in database with at run-time with less programming knowledge. The studydemonstrated that the COTRACOCO convention presented is general and may promote a new paradigm for establishingthe robust serial port communication systems for any digital device.

The use of wireless communication systems in industrial environments is gaining international importance. The requirements, which are placed thereby on the communication systems, are manifold depending on the specific use. In the field of industrial manufacturing, however, many applications are characterized by high reliability requirements and hard real-time demands. The latter requires a time-deterministic handling of processed transmissions and therefore requires the use of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) solutions. In this paper, we briefly describe which functionalities characterize a wireless TSN system and which approaches have already been pursued in the literature and standardization. Subsequently, we present a concept for a toolbox that allows one to combine the required functionalities into a working solution, which can be used as a guideline for software-based implementation. Additionally, since reliability of transmissions is one of the key challenges, especially in wireless communication, to achieve a performance comparable to wired systems, we provide some further design considerations to improve.

AbstractWithin the broad and deep field of topological materials, there are an ever-increasing number of materials that harbor topological phases. While condensed matter physics continues to probe the exotic physical properties resulting from the existence of topological phases in new materials, there exists a suite of “well-known” topological materials in which the physical properties are well-characterized, such as Bi2Se3 and Bi2Te3. In this context, it is then appropriate to ask if the unique properties of well-explored topological materials may have a role to play in applications that form the basis of a new paradigm in information processing devices and architectures. To accomplish such a transition from physical novelty to application based material, the potential of topological materials must be disseminated beyond the reach of condensed matter to engender interest in diverse areas such as: electrical engineering, materials science, and applied physics. Accordingly, in this review, we assess the state of current electronic device applications and contemplate the future prospects of topological materials from an applied perspective. More specifically, we will review the application of topological materials to the general areas of electronic and magnetic device technologies with the goal of elucidating the potential utility of well-characterized topological materials in future information processing applications.

In order to prevent the ammonia leak caused casualties incidents, this paper adopts ZigBee wireless technology to real-time monitoring of ammonia concentration. Equipped with MQ137 ammonia sensor in the terminal node, and the use of STM8 microcontroller collected the ammonia concentration data. The data will be transmitted to the coordinator through ZigBee. Using LabVIEW to design the monitoring interface of computer, and read concentration data through the serial port communication. When the ammonia concentration exceeds the preset value, the GSM module will send the location of leak in the form of short messages to staff. Through the reasonable arrangement of sensor nodes in ammonia production workshop, can effectively avoid the ammonia leak hurting the safety of people's life and property.

Students run code directly without any modification when doing programming experiments. They do not care about the process and do not understand the results. It has always been the pain of the electronic information experiment teaching mentioned by. This article, combines the previous teaching experience, proposes an artificial serial port interruption in the code. The result data returned by the interrupt upload to computer or mobile phone, combined with the experimental principle to allow students to explore the relationship between input and output, so that students can fully participate in the modification of code parameters, and verify the intermediate results. Students connect to the WIFI hotspot configured in the experiment box through their mobile phones, and lunch the online commissioning APP serial port configuration interface to complete the basic serial port settings. The slave MCU needs to download the firmware code compiled in C language in advance. The code contains the serial port output function to calibrate the running position of the code and upload the specified operation results. This article briefly describes the hardware functional chart and the functional flowchart of the interrupt code; focusing on the interface design and interrupt implementation method of online commissioning APP, as well as the test environment setup and specific test results with serial port tools.
