A Cu brazing sheet has been developed using a Cu-P composite plating method. A Cu-P composite plating layer, which contains 7mass%P, was formed on a Cu plate with a copper sulfate solution including P particles. The melting start temperature of the Cu-P composite layer was determined to be approximately 765°C. Microstructure and joint strength of a brazed joint with the Cu-P composite layer were investigated and compared with those of the joint with a conventional Cu-7P filler foil. As the results of the study, it was clarified that the Cu-P composite layer developed is feasible to use as a brazing material for Cu and Cu alloys.

This article studies plating bath preparation method of novel nano-composite plating technology to improve properties of coatings when repairing the wear of equipments surface with the application of composite plating technology. The Nanoparticles of plating bath use Al2O3, metal substrates use Fe-based nano-composite plating coatings of Fe. The liquids ingredients of plating bath are prepared with ferric chloride and hydrochloric acid. The experiments of mechanical properties indicate that this plating method is an advanced technology on repairing the surface wear, which can effectively enhance the coatings properties of hardness, strength and wear resistance, which especially is suitable for the restoration to the wear of the high accuracy metal components of important equipments

The Ni-P-Al2O3 composite film was coated on mild steel of SS400 with electroless plating method. In this process, different sizes of Al2O3 particles and different blended amounts of Al2O3 particles into the plating solution were applied. From the surface and cross section observation, it is known that the Al2O3 particles were uniformly dispersed in the Ni-P alloy. The highest corrosion resistance and the highest wear resistance of the Ni-P-Al2O3 composite film were obtained when adding Al2O3 particles with the mean diameter of 0.05μm into the plating solution at the blended amount of 1.0g/L.
