Background. Osteoblastoma is a rare benign tumor. This tumor is characterized by osteoid and bone formation with the presence of numerous osteoblasts. The lesion is more frequently seen in long bones and rarely involves maxilla and mandible. Due to its clinical and histological similarity with other bone tumors such as osteoid osteoma and fibro-osseous lesions, osteoblastoma presents a diagnostic dilemma.Case Report. Very few cases of osteoblastomas involving maxillofacial region have been reported in the literature. This case report involves osteoblastoma involving right maxilla in an 18-year-old male patient. Following detailed clinical examination, radiological interpretation, and histopathological diagnosis, surgical excision was performed. The patient was followed up for a period of 3 years and was disease free.Summary and Conclusion. Benign osteoblastoma involving jaw bones is a rare tumor. There is a close resemblance of this tumor with other lesions such as fibro-osseous lesions and odontogenic tumors and thus faces a diagnostic challenge. Surgical excision with a long-term follow-up gives good prognosis to this lesion—Benign Osteoblastoma.

ABSTRACT A rare case of sinonasal paraganglioma is described. A 40-year-old female patient presented with 2 years history of unilateral nasal obstruction and bleeding. CT scan demonstrated an expansile enhancing mass involving bilateral ethmoids, right nasal cavity and right maxillary sinus. Histopathological diagnosis was neuroendocrine tumor with possibility of paraganglioma. A subtotal maxillectomy with excision of mass performed. Primary nonchromaffin paraganglioma of nose and paranasal sinus is a very rare tumor, these lesion pose diagnostic challenge to clinicians and pathologist. Testicular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin is a rare benign tumor of testis, which usually presents as a slow growing testicular mass. Intratesticular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin, with or without minor sex cord elements, must be considered, analogous to similar tumors in ovary, as a benign tumor. Until now, only 25 cases of testicular fibroma have been reported in the literature. We reported a case of testicular fibroma in a 20 years male who presented with painless right testicular enlargement since two years. Ultrasonography (USG) showed heterogeneous mass in right scrotum suggestive of testicular malignancy. Right orchidectomy was done. Histopathological diagnosis was testicular fibroma, which was confirmed by immunohistochemistry.

Background: Morel-Lavallée Lesion (MLL) or Morel-Lavallée Seroma (MLS) is a posttraumatic seroma that occurs following a closed degloving injury. It is very important for trauma surgeons to be aware of this relatively rarely reported entity as early diagnosis increases the likelihood of successful management. Case report: We present a patient, wherein the patient had no history of trivial trauma and presented with a gradually growing swelling of left thigh, that was clinically and radiologically diagnosed as a soft tissue neoplasm, successfully managed by surgical excision and were reported to be a MLS. The clinical diagnostic dilemma was solved by the histopathologist! Conclusion: A differential diagnosis of MLL should be kept in mind in patients presenting with soft tissue swellings. AbstractBackground:Liposarcomas rarely occur in the parapharyngeal space and only a few case reports exist. For curative therapy of liposarcoma, surgical excision remains the dominant modality. Although a wide surgical margin is important to prevent local recurrence, wide excision is often difficult in the head and neck region.Case report:We report a case of a 19-year-old female with a well-differentiated liposarcoma arising in the parapharyngeal space. We removed the tumour surgically utilising a cervical–parotid approach. The histological diagnosis was well-differentiated sclerosing liposarcoma. There is no recurrence after five years and nine months of follow up.Conclusion:The patient's age and the tumour site made it difficult for us to make a quantitative diagnosis before the operation. Well-differentiated liposarcoma rarely develop distant metastasis, but often recur locally. The benefit of adjuvant radiotherapy for well-differentiated liposarcoma is still not clear and careful and long-term follow up is necessary.

Paragangliomas are extra-adrenal tumors of the autonomic nervous system and may be found within the skull base, neck, chest, and abdomen. When presenting within the abdominal cavity, they may arise as a primary retroperitoneal neoplasm and can mimic vascular malformations or other conditions related to specific retroperitoneal organs such as the pancreas, kidneys, or adrenals. Retroperitoneal paragangliomas are mostly benign with good prognosis; however, they can present with abdominal pain, palpable mass, or hypertensive episodes. Patients should be initially evaluated with catecholamine levels, followed by computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging to locate the primary lesion. Surgical excision remains the mainstay of treatment, although advanced disease and proximity to vital organs can make excision difficult or impossible. This case report describes a patient who initially underwent work up for a suspected pancreatic head mass which was discovered to be a retroperitoneal paraganglioma by frozen section.

Introduction: Hemangiopericytoma is a mesenchymal tumour originating from pericytes surrounding the capillary vessels. The etiology of this tumour is still unknown. It may be located in any part of the human body. The most common sites are pelvis and lower limbs and less often it occurs in the head and neck. The characteristic signs of hemangiopericytoma are slow growth regardless of the malignancy level and high vascularity. Surgical excision of the tumour with additional radiotherapy is the treatment of choice. Case report: A symptom presentation and diagnostic-therapeutic process in a 71-year-old woman admitted to the Department of Otolaryngology of the Medical University of Warsaw due to increasing bilateral nasal obstruction and dysphagia is herein described. Diagnostic imaging showed highly vascularized tumour in the parapharyngeal space also obstructing the left side of the nasopharynx. After evaluation, tumour resection from the external approach was planned and performed, followed by an uncomplicated postoperative course. Histopathological examination revealed hemangiopericytoma. The patient was qualified for adjuvant radiotherapy. She stays under observation with no signs of recurrence since surgery. Conclusions: Hemangiopericytoma is a rare tumour with a wide variety of clinical presentations and a relapse-free survival that is difficult to predict. Long-lasting asymptomatic tumour growth results in late diagnosis. Imaging and primarily, histopathological examination are fundamental for the diagnostic process. The best outcome is observed after radical surgical treatment. In order to reduce the risk of recurrence, additional radiotherapy is advised. Local recurrence may appear years after finished treatment, therefore long-term follow-up is essential.

Mammary myofibroblastoma is a rare benign tumor of the breast, with a higher incidence in elderly age group. It is diagnosed via radiologic and histologic findings, as clinical findings share the same presentation with other, more common, benign breast pathologies. Surgical excision is the only treatment modality used to treat this tumor. We report the case of a 56-years-old-male, who presented with the complaint of left-sided chest swelling for 1 year following a minor trauma to the chest. Ultrasonographic imaging of the mass was the initial investigation and it revealed a well-defined hypoechoic lesion, excisional biopsy was done, followed by histopathological analysis of the mass, which gave the diagnosis of mammary myofibroblastoma. The aim of this case-report is to further study and characterize this rare lesion and its relationship to previous minor or major trauma and other risk factors, in addition, a proper diagnosis should be taken when encountering a similar mass as it mimics many benign and malignant tumors, furthermore a follow up plan should be established to assess the rate of possible recurrence.

Lipoma is the most common benign tumor of adipose tissue. Giant lipoma of breast is very rare.Majority of them are small in size, slow growing and asymptomatic until they reach large size. Most patients seek medical advice due to asymmetry in the breast and due to fear of malignancy. Breast lipomas pose a diagnostic challenge due to similarity of their texture to normal breast parenchyma and make it difficult to distinguish from other common breast lesions. The clinical and radiographic identification of breast lipoma remains challenging. Complete surgical excision with the capsule is essential to prevent recurrence. Breast reconstruction may require, to prevent asymmetry following surgical excision of giant breast lipoma. High degree of clinical suspicion and histolopathological correlation will help in preopertaive diagnosis of this clinical condition. Here, we report a case 50- year -old woman with left breast lump which clinically, radiologically and on fine needle aspiration cytology was diagnosed as phyllodes tumor, but after surgical excision it was reported as breast lipoma on final histopathology.

Introduction: Ameloblastoma is a neoplasm usually found in the maxilla and mandible with progressive intraosseous growth and a tendency to local recurrence. Malignant or metastatic ameloblastoma is one of its rare variants; a histopathological study is required for diagnosis confirmation. The common sites of dissemination are the lungs and cervical lymph nodes. The treatment is surgical and radiotherapy or chemotherapy are palliative options.Case report: A case of malignant ameloblastoma was reported in a 39-year-old man with metastasis to the scalp and multiple local recurrences. The patient required mandibular osteotomy, multiple local resections, partial maxillary resection, free flap reconstruction, local scalp resection and free flap coverage. Due to a new relapse that could not be treated with a surgical approach, radiotherapy was ordered.Discussion: The site most frequently affected by malignant ameloblastoma due to hematogenous dissemination is the lung. This paper reports the case of a patient with compromised scalp. To date, according to a search conducted, only one case report about this type of metastatic neoplasm has been published.Conclusion: Histopathological diagnosis of ameloblastoma associated with surgical resection of the primary tumor and the metastatic tumor is the only approach that can offer disease-free survival.

Abstract Introduction. Piloleiomyoma is a rare benign tumor which is caused by erector pili muscle and makes up 5% of all leiomyomas. They can be solitary and multiple. Multiple lesions still pose challenges for clinicians since their treatment option is very limited. Case report. We report a case of a 25-year-old male patient who had painful papules and nodules on the neck and chest for three years. Multiple red-brown papules and nodules in the skin of regio mammaria dextra and regio submandibularis on the left were seen on physical examination. Histopathological examination of punch bi-were seen on physical examination. Histopathological examination of punch biopsy sample revealed well-circumscribed nodule composed of spindle cells. The case was reported as cutaneous leiomyoma (piloleiomyoma). The patient was given 5 mg/day amlodipin and kept under control. Conclusion. The ideal treatment option for piloleiomyoma is surgical excision, but the problem with that treatment is that the lesions have tendency to recur. Medicamentous therapy plays a limited role; however, calcium-channel blockers and α-adrenergic blockers may help in palliating or eliminating associated pain through inhibition of smooth muscle contraction.
