We consider a system of delay differential equations which represents the general model of a Hopfield neural networks type. We construct some new sufficient conditions for local asymptotic stability about the trivial equilibrium based on the connection weights and delays of the neural system. We also investigate the occurrence of an Andronov-Hopf bifurcation about the trivial equilibrium. Finally, the simulating results demonstrate the validity and feasibility of our theoretical results.

The issue of robust stability for fractional-order Hopfield neural networks with parameter uncertainties is investigated in this paper. For such neural system, its existence, uniqueness, and global Mittag-Leffler stability of the equilibrium point are analyzed by employing suitable Lyapunov functionals. Based on the fractional-order Lyapunov direct method, the sufficient conditions are proposed for the robust stability of the studied networks. Moreover, robust synchronization and quasi-synchronization between the class of neural networks are discussed. Furthermore, some numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of our obtained theoretical results.

In continuous applications in electrodynamics, neural networks, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, and the field of time symmetric, fluid dynamics, neutral differential equations appear when modeling many problems and phenomena. Therefore, it is interesting to study the qualitative behavior of solutions of such equations. In this study, we obtained some new sufficient conditions for oscillations to the solutions of a second-order delay differential equations with sub-linear neutral terms. The results obtained improve and complement the relevant results in the literature. Finally, we show an example to validate the main results, and an open problem is included.

In this paper, we establish new sufficient conditions for the oscillation of solutions of a class of second-order delay differential equations with a mixed neutral term, which are under the non-canonical condition. The results obtained complement and simplify some known results in the relevant literature. Example illustrating the results is included.

Uncertain delay differential equation is a class of functional differential equations driven by Liu process. It is an important model to describe the evolution process of uncertain dynamical system. In this paper, on the one hand, the analytic expression of a class of linear uncertain delay differential equations are investigated. On the other hand, the new sufficient conditions for uncertain delay differential equations being stable in measure and in mean are presented by using retarded-type Gronwall inequality. Several examples show that our stability conditions are superior to the existing results.

The stability of a class of static interval neural networks with time delay in the leakage term is investigated. By using the method ofM-matrix and the technique of delay differential inequality, we obtain some sufficient conditions ensuring the global exponential robust stability of the networks. The results in this paper extend the corresponding conclusions without leakage delay. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

In this paper, the Bogdanov–Takens (B–T) and triple zero bifurcations are investigated for coupled van der Pol–Duffing oscillators with [Formula: see text] symmetry, in the presence of time delays due to the intrinsic response and coupling. Different from previous works, third order unfolding normal forms associated with B–T and triple zero bifurcations are needed, which are obtained by using the normal form theory of delay differential equations. Numerical simulations are also presented to illustrate the theoretical results.

Abstract Our concern is to consider delay differential equations of Euler type. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the oscillation of solutions are given. The results extend some famous facts about Euler differential equations without delay.

In this paper, the authors obtain some new sufficient conditions for the oscillation of all solutions of the fourth order delay differential equations. Some new oscillatory criteria are obtained by using the generalized Riccati transformations and comparison technique with first order delay differential equation. Our results extend and improve many well-known results for oscillation of solutions to a class of fourth-order delay differential equations. The effectiveness of the obtained criteria is illustrated via examples.

Finite-time synchronization for a class of fractional-order delayed neural networks with fractional order α, 0<α≤1/2 and 1/2<α<1, is investigated in this paper. Through the use of Hölder inequality, generalized Bernoulli inequality, and inequality skills, two sufficient conditions are considered to ensure synchronization of fractional-order delayed neural networks in a finite-time interval. Numerical example is given to verify the feasibility of the theoretical results.

AbstractIn this paper, we discuss the dependence of the solutions on the parameters (order, initial function, right-hand function) of fractional neutral delay differential equations (FNDDEs). The corresponding theoretical results are given respectively. Furthermore, we present some numerical results that support our theoretical analysis.
