The aim of this study was to explore the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with combined exercise therapy and to evaluate the curative effect through CT imaging technology based on optimized reconstruction algorithms. A total of 60 patients with osteoarthritis admitted to our hospital from September 2020 to March 2021 were randomly recruited as the research objects. Patients were rolled into the routine treatment group and exercise group (routine treatment + targeted exercise therapy) according to different treatments they received, with 30 cases in each group. Then, the CT imaging results of the two groups were compared after treatment. The positive rates of peripheral osteogenesis, joint space narrowing, cartilage lesions, and synovial lesions in the exercise group were inferior to those in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant P < 0.05 . However, the change rate of positive indicators before and after treatment was not statistically significant P > 0.05 . The change range of digital pain score and Lysholm knee function score in the exercise group was significantly superior to that in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant P < 0.05 . CT images with optimized reconstruction algorithms still had certain limiting factors in the evaluation of the curative effect of KOA and still needed to be improved. It was also proved that exercise therapy had good application value in the treatment of KOA through other methods.

Objective: To observe therapeutic effect of sodium aescinate Tablets on knee osteoarthritis complicated with synovitis. Methods: 86 patients with knee osteoarthritis combined with synovitis treated in the Honghui Hospital Affiliated to Xi’an Jiaotong University from January 2018 to December 2019 were randomly divided into control group and intervention group, with 43 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment, and the intervention group was given sodium aescinate Tablets orally on the basis of routine treatment, twice a day, 2 tablets each time. The curative effect was evaluated after 2 weeks of treatment. The knee pain and joint function of the two groups were evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index (WOMAC), and the clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in general information, VAS and WOMAC scores between the two groups (P > 0.05). After treatment, the VAS and WOMAC scores of the two groups were both lower than those before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The vas and WOMAC scores of the intervention group were lower than those of the control group (VAS, 1.87 ± 0.79 vs 3.38 ± 0.81. In this study, sodium aescinate tablets were applied to the treatment of KOA combined with synovitis. The results showed that the intervention group was better than the control group in alleviating knee pain, improving joint function and improving clinical efficacy, and the difference was statistically significant. The total effective rate of the intervention group was higher than that of the control group (100% vs 86.05%), and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Sodium aescinate tablet in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis combined with synovitis can effectively alleviate knee pain, improve joint function and improve clinical efficacy.

Objectives: To compare the difference between sling suspension versus balance and proprioceptive exercise’s effect on pain and functional capacity of knee osteoarthritis patients before, 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after exercise.Methods: This longitudinal study with case series design was done on 34 subjects with knee osteoarthritis grade II and III in Outpatient Clinic of Medical Rehabilitation Installation in Dr. Kariadi General Hospital Semarang from November 2009 to February 2010. They were randomly assigned into ‘sling suspension’ and ‘balance and proprioceptive’ exercise group. Each group contains 17 subjects. Subjects conducted their exercise 3 times a week for four weeks. Assesment of VAS, WOMAC modification index, TUG test were done before, 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after exercise.Results: There were statistically significant changes in pain (measured by VAS category) and functional capacity (measured by WOMAC modification index subscale of pain, stiffness and functional activity, and TUG test) before, 2 weeks after and 4 weeks after exercise in both groups (p<0.05). However, there were no statistically significant difference in pain and functional capacity between groups (p>0.05).Conclusions:There were no significant diffrences between sling suspension and balance and proprioceptive exercise, although both exercise gave significant improvement in vas category, WOMAC modification index and walking time on TUG test.Keywords: knee osteoarthritis, sling suspension exercise, balance and proprioceptive exercise, VAS,

Purpose: This study investigated the clinical effects of different patellar components without being affected by the femoral component design in total knee arthritis (TKA) for patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA). Methods: In total, 48 patients with OA who met the criteria of the American College of Rheumatology for OA were enrolled and randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to two groups according to the usage of patellar component design for TKA (medialized dome type [dome group] or medialized anatomic type [anatomic group]). To evaluate the clinical outcomes for TKA, knee range of motion (ROM), pain intensity of 0–100 mm visual analog scale (pain VAS), and the Japanese Knee Osteoarthritis Measure (JKOM) score were obtained at baseline and year 1. Results: The difference in knee ROM, pain VAS, or total JKOM score at year 1 was not significant between the dome and anatomic groups ( p = 0.398, 0.733 and 0.536, respectively). Moreover, similar results were obtained for changes in knee ROM, pain VAS, or total JKOM scores from baseline. In both groups, the pain VAS and total JKOM scores were significantly improved at year 1. Conclusion: Both dome and anatomic groups in TKA are significantly effective for pain and function using the JKOM score. However, their efficacy did not differ, according to the JKOM score. Results of this study are rare information focusing on the patellar component design and provide one of the insights into the TKA clinical management.

Abstract BackgroundThe Good Life with osteoArthritis from Denmark (GLA:D®) program incorporates guideline-based patient education and exercise-therapy for osteoarthritis to implement guidelines into practice. We evaluated the implementation of GLA:D® for knee osteoarthritis within Australian physiotherapy practice using the RE-AIM QuEST (Reach, Effectiveness, Adoption, Implementation, Maintenance Qualitative Evaluation for Systematic Translation) framework.MethodsAustralian physiotherapists were trained and supported to deliver GLA:D® (2017-2019) and completed surveys before and after training to assess practices, beliefs about capabilities and confidence, and barriers and enablers to implementation. Patients participating in GLA:D® completed online baseline, 3-month (immediately post-treatment) and 12-month patient reported outcomes. Effective implementation was defined as within-subject moderate effect size (ES, ≥0.50) for average pain (100mm visual analogue scale) and knee osteoarthritis outcome score quality of life scores (KOOS-QoL), and small effect size (≥0.20) for health-related quality of life (EQ-5D-5L).ResultsReach: 1,064 physiotherapists (73% private) and 1,945 (79% private) from all states and territories consented to participation. Key barriers included out-of-pocket cost to patients, and program suitability for culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Effectiveness: Following training, more physiotherapists discussed treatment goals and the importance of weight management, and prescribed supervised, neuromuscular exercise. Patient outcomes at 3- and 12 months (n = 1,044 [54%] and 927 [48%]) reflected effective implementation, including reduced pain intensity (ES, 95%CI = 0.72, 0.62-0.84; and 0.65, 0.54-0.77), improved KOOS-QoL scores (0.79, 0.69-0.90; and 0.93, 0.81-1.04), and improved EQ-5D-5L scores (0.43, 0.31-0.54; and 0.46, 0.35-0.58). Seventy-three percent of participants reported minimal important changes for at least one of pain severity (≥ 15 mm), KOOS-QoL (≥ 15 points) or EQ-5D-5L (≥ 0.07 points). Adoption: GLA:D® was implemented at 297 sites (264 private, 33 public). Implementation: Most patients completed at least one education (90%), and 10 exercise-therapy (78%) sessions. Adequate staffing to support program delivery was a key enabler. Maintenance: Ninety-nine percent of sites (293/297) continued to offer the program in July 2020.ConclusionsTraining was associated with practice changes and widespread implementation of GLA:D® in Australia. Effective implementation, and clinically meaningful improvements in pain and quality of life for most participant, supports further work to scale up GLA:D® in Australia.

ABSTRACTPest and natural enemy population in three different rice cultivation in Sukamandi RegionSome on limiting factors in rice production include the cultivation system and pest damage. To suppress the damage, several control techniques have been applied, such as technical culture. The aim of this study was to gain information on population and pest damage, as well as natural enemy population in three different rice cultivation systems. The study was arranged in Randomized Block Design with three treatment and 9 replications. The treatments were: 1) organic rice cultivation, 2) semi organic, and 3) farmer technique. The used rice variety was Inpari 30. The plot size was 6 m x 90 m. The variables observed included population and pest damage, natural enemy population, and rice yields. Thirthy two rice hills were observed randomly in diagonal direction, with 2 weeks interval from two weeks after transplanting until harvest. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance (Anova) and the difference among the treatments was evaluated with Duncan multiple area test at 5% level. The results showed that brown plant hoppers population on organic rice cultivation is lower than semi-organic rice cultivation and farmer technique, but there were no difference of natural enemy population among treatments. The lowest yield was obtained from the organic rice cultivation (2.67 t/ha).Keywords: Rice cultivation, Pests, Natural enemiesABSTRAKBeberapa faktor pembatas produksi padi diantaranya adalah cara budidaya dan adanya serangan hama. Untuk menekan serangan hama, beberapa teknik pengendalian telah diterapkan diantaranya adalah pengendalian secara kultur teknis (cara budidaya). Pada MT-2 tahun 2016, penelitian dengan tujuan mendapatkan informasi mengenai populasi dan serangan hama, serta populasi musuh alami pada tiga cara budidaya padi telah dilakukan di lahan kebun percobaan Balai Besar Penelitian Tanaman Padi Sukamandi. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan tiga cara budidaya dan diulang sebanyak sembilan kali. Adapun cara budidaya yang digunakan terdiri atas:1) budidaya padi organik; 2) semi organik; 3) cara petani. Varietas yang digunakan adalah Inpari 30. Ukuran plot 6 m x 90 m. Variabel yang diamati meliputi populasi dan tingkat serangan hama, populasi musuh alami, dan hasil panen. Pengamatan dilakukan secara langsung di pertanaman pada 32 rumpun sampel secara acak diagonal dengan interval dua minggu sekali mulai umur tanaman dua minggu setelah tanam sampai menjelang panen. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (Anova) dan perbedaan antar perlakuan dievaluasi dengan uji wilayah berganda Duncan pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa populasi hama wereng coklat pada cara budidaya padi organik lebih rendah dibandingkan cara budidaya padi semi organik dan budidaya padi cara petani, tetapi tidak ada perbedaan populasi musuh alami pada cara budidaya padi organik, cara budidaya padi semi organik dan budidaya padi cara petani. Hasil panen terendah (2,67 t/ha) terlihat pada perlakuan budidaya padi organik.Kata Kunci: Budidaya padi, Hama, Musuh alami

ABSTRACT Introduction Studies have shown that physical exercise is beneficial to people’s overall physical and mental health, but few research reports on the effects of different physical exercises on people’s human health. Object The paper explores the difference in human health function between people who adhere to traditional health sports and those who rarely exercise and provide a scientific basis for applying and promoting traditional health sports in TCM “prevention of disease”. Methods The paper surveyed 526 people who regularly participate in physical exercises and rarely exercise. The exercise items are divided into Tai Chi/Tai Chi sword group, Health Qigong Baduanjin group, Health Qigong Wuqinxi group, and Health Qigong Yijin group. Warp group, walking/jogging group. Results There are differences in the mental indicators of the people in different exercise groups. The overall average percentage levels of and NK cells in each exercise group and the tiny exercise group are different, and the difference is statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Persisting in physical exercise is beneficial to the balance of health and function of the population. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment results.

Abstract Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the improvement of knee function in patients with knee osteoarthritis who underwent total knee arthroplasty and arthroscopy in China, and to provide a scientific basis for the application of clinical total knee arthroplasty in knee osteoarthritis.Methods: A total of 160 patients with knee osteoarthritis who were admitted to Chinese hospital from January 2017 to December 2018 were studied. They were divided into experimental group and control group according to their willingness of treatment. The control group was treated with arthroscopy and the experimental group was treated with total knee arthroplasty. All patients were followed for a period of 6 months. The knee joint function score (HSS), visual analog scale (VAS), and anxiety self-assessment scale (SAS) scores before and after surgery were compared between the two groups. Results: The proportion of "excellent or good" in the efficacy of the experimental group (91.25%) was higher than that of the control group (72.50%), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=9.476, P<0.05). The HSS score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), while the VAS and SAS scores were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). The scores of various SF-36 scales in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group after operation (P<0.05).Conclusions: Total knee arthroplasty was considered effective in treating patients with knee osteoarthritis that meet the indications, and is beneficial to improve knee function and reduce pain in patients. The surgical treatment also reduced the level of anxiety and effectively improve the quality of life of patients. Further investigation of its clinical application on treatment of knee osteoarthritis is warranted.
