<b><i>Introduction:</i></b> Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is a primary lymphocytic cicatricial alopecia with 3 recognized clinical variants. Lately, LPP clinical spectrum has expanded with new and overlapping clinical variants. First considered as a subtype of LPP affecting postmenopausal women, the increasing worldwide incidence of FFA including atypical lesions in young female and male suggests a different pathomechanism for this disease. Although LPP-spectrum disorders may share similar histopathological findings, clinical features and prognosis are different. <b><i>Case Report:</i></b> A 26-year-old Caucasian male presented with occipital scarring alopecia and pruritus for the last 6 months. The patient had been treated for an associated androgenetic alopecia and superficial recurrent scalp folliculitis over the vertex scalp for the last 5 years. Trichoscopy of the occipital scalp showed mild diffuse erythema, moderate peripilar scaling, and absence of follicular openings, suggestive of a scarring process. The patient underwent an occipital scalp biopsy that confirmed the diagnosis of a LPP-spectrum disorder. <b><i>Discussion/Conclusion:</i></b> Both LPP and FFA mostly affect the anterior-mid scalp of females. However, recent reports on FFA also in premenopausal women and men should make physicians aware of atypical features of this disease and unusual clinical presentation.

Introduction: Scrotal tuberculosis (TB) is rare and may present as painful scrotal swelling with ulceration and discharging sinus. Case Report: A 28 years male with 2 months history of swelling and pain over left scrotum. Developed ulcer over the scrotal region with multiple sinus associated with pus discharge. Conclusion: The clinical presentation of TB scrotal ulcer can be atypical and a high index of suspicion is required for early diagnosis. Diagnosis is by using ultrasonography, microbiology, and biopsy. Treatment requires prolonged ATT for 6 months.

Usage of vaping and electronic cigarettes products is a growing trend among young adults, with rising rates worldwide. Such products are gaining popularity for many reasons including an alternative to smoking cigarettes, trying something new, or as a means to relax. While users may feel that these products are less harmful or a safer substitute to smoking traditional products, the side effect profile of vape inhalation has the potential for profound injury to the lung tissue and significant respiratory failure. We would like to present a case in which a young male who was evaluated at our Emergency department for acute onset respiratory failure subsequently requiring invasive mechanical ventilation in the setting of vaping associated lung injury (VALI). In the case report, we will highlight the patient’s clinical course as well as a summary of the current evidence surrounding evaluation, diagnosis and management of this emerging pathology. We want to emphasize the importance of a detailed history which should include the use of vaping products when a young patient presents with acute respiratory failure, allowing VALI to be in the differential diagnosis. Additionally, we want to compare the clinical presentation of VALI to that of COVID-19 pneumonia as they both have many similar attributes including symptoms and findings on lung imaging studies.

ABSTRACT This article presents a clinical case of horizontal root fracture, in an adult patient, male, in the apical third, due to the practice of sports, which, along with other factors, has led to pulp necrosis. Initially, the patient sought emergency care, and then he underwent treatment by endodontics, using calcium hydroxide between sessions. After a monitoring period, root canal obturation was performed and the tooth is clinically and radiographically stable 2 years after the trauma. In this case, monitoring is long-lasting, divided into 12-month periods for 10 years, with clinical and radiographic evaluation. Dental fracture in children and teenagers from 10 to 14 years is very common, especially during the practice of sports and recreation activities. It is expected that young male individuals have greater propensity to damage their teeth than young female individuals. Maxillary central incisor is the tooth most commonly involved, and it often evolves to pulp necrosis after trauma.

Background: Guillen barre syndrome is the most frequent cause of flaccid paralysis in the world, it is characterized by an acute demyelinating, autoimmune and multiple etiology polyneuropathy, among which are included infectious agents such as Campylobacter jejuni, Zika virus, of genetic and environmental factors. Case Report: We present the case of a 56-year-old Colombian male patient with a history of hypertension, who entered the intensive care unit with symptoms of atypical asymmetric motor neurological compromise, which rapidly progressed to ventilatory failure and subsequent confinement síndrome. The Common

Peripheral ossifying fibroma is one of the common reactive oral lesions which accounts for about 9.6% of all gingival lesions. There is a predilection for females in the second to fourth decade of life. Most lesions are less than 2 cm in size, although larger ones occasionally occur. The raised lesion may appear smooth or ulcerated and most often is caused by constant irritation or trauma. The growth-like clinical presentation may lead to misclassification; however, the histologic appearance is quite diagnostic for this lesion. In this case report we are discussing the case of a young male patient with peripheral ossifying fibroma in the mandibular anterior region which was managed by complete surgical excision. Endometriosis is defined as the presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity. It is a common finding in premenopausal women and commonly affects the gastrointestinal tract, especially the rectosigmoid tract. Small bowel involvement is rare and usually asymptomatic making diagnosis difficult. Here we report an uncommon case of exophytic ileal endometriosis surgically treated. Detailed pre-operative counselling on the risk of ileal surgery should always be considered in all cases with endometriosis requiring surgery. We also present a review of the literature regarding the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and treatment of this challenging condition.

BACKGROUND: Porokeratosis is characterised by one or more atrophic patches surrounded by a distinctive peripheral keratotic ridge, typically found on sun-exposed areas, with several clinical variants and typical histological findings. Despite ultraviolet radiation, varies antibody - related autoimmune disease treated with systemic steroids and other immunosuppressive conditions such as chronic liver disease, HIV and organ transplantations have been implicated in its etiopathology.CASE REPORT: We present a case of porokeratosis, associated with idiopathic thrombocytopenia in 74 - year old, otherwise healthy male patient, as we discuss the previously reported associated disorders.CONCLUSION: Regarding all of the polymorphism of clinical presentation, associated disorders and treatment responses, we could conclude that disseminated porokeratosis is still an unknown well disorder, which will continue to surprise the physicians in future. The screening and follow up of the patients is mandatory in all cases because as we see, porokeratosis has multiple unexpected faces, which require circumstantial clinical and paraclinical behaviour.

A plunging or diving ranula is a rare mucous fluid collection in the submandibular or parapharyngeal space resulting from damage or rupture of one or more ducts of the sublingual gland. The most common clinical presentation is a painless, slow-growing, pliable mass in the floor of the mouth, sometimes extending below the mandible through a defect in the mylohyoid muscle. This case report presents a young female patient who was suspected of having a plunging ranula. This case also highlights the role that sonography and other diagnostic tools play in the evaluation of this phenomenon.

Cat scratch disease (CSD) is an infectious disease caused by infected cat when it scratches a person hard enough to break the surface of skin. Although it’s a rare disease, the frequency of disease is 1 in 10,000 people. Here we are presenting a case of CSD which was diagnosed with the help of HPE and confirmed by history of scratch from patient’s pet cat. The patient was successfully treated with antibiotic therapy without any complications. However, prognosis is generally good, negligence of disease may lead to serious complications. A correlation of detailed history with clinical presentation as well as high index of suspicion will aid in accurate diagnosis of CSD.
