In each and every field of science and technology Information science plays an important role. Sometimes information science is facing different types of problems to handle the data and information. Data Uncertainty is one of the challenging difficulties to handle. In past, there are several theories like fuzzy set, Rough set, Probability etc.to dealing with uncertainty. Soft set theory is the youngest theory to deal with uncertainty. In this paper we discussed how to find reducts. This paper focuses on how we can transform a sample data set to binary valued information system. We are also going to reduce the dimension of data set by using the binary valued information that results a better decision.

The present paper deals with two types of topologies on the set of integers, Z : a quasi-discrete topology and a topology satisfying the T 1 2 -separation axiom. Furthermore, for each n ∈ N , we develop countably many topologies on Z n which are not homeomorphic to the typical n-dimensional Khalimsky topological space. Based on these different types of new topological structures on Z n , many new mathematical approaches can be done in the fields of pure and applied sciences, such as fixed point theory, rough set theory, and so on.

In this paper, the rough set theory is applied to reduce the complexity of data space and to induct decision rules. It proposes the generic label correcting (GLC) algorithm incorporated with the decision rules to solve supply chain modeling problems. This proposed approach is agile because by combining various operators and comparators, different types of paths in the reduced networks can be solved with one algorithm.

Software supports continuous economic growth but has risks of uncertainty. In order to improve the risk-assessing accuracy of software project development, this paper proposes an assessment model based on the combination of backpropagation neural network (BPNN) and rough set theory (RST). First, a risk list with 35 risk factors were grouped into six risk categories via the brainstorming method and the original sample data set was constructed according to the initial risk list. Subsequently, an attribute reduction algorithm of the rough set was used to eliminate the redundancy attributes from the original sample dataset. The input factors of the software project risk assessment model could be reduced from thirty-five to twelve by the attribute reduction. Finally, the refined sample data subset was used to train the BPNN and the test sample data subset was used to verify the trained BPNN. The test results showed that the proposed joint model could achieve a better assessment than the model based only on the BPNN.

Feature selection is one of the widely used pre-processing techniques to deal with large data sets. In this context, rough set theory has been successfully implemented for feature selection of discrete data set but in case of continuous data set it requires discretization, which may cause information loss. Fuzzy rough set theory approaches have also been used successfully to resolve this issue as it can handle continuous data directly. Moreover, almost all feature selection techniques are used to handle homogeneous data set. In this article, the center of attraction is on heterogeneous feature subset reduction. A novel intuitionistic fuzzy neighborhood models have been proposed by combining intuitionistic fuzzy sets and neighborhood rough set models by taking an appropriate pair of lower and upper approximations and generalize it for feature selection, supported with theory and its validation. An appropriate algorithm along with application to a data set has been added.

Fuzzy sets, rough sets, and later on IF sets became useful mathematical tools for solving various decision making problems and data mining problems. Molodtsov introduced another concept soft set theory as a general frame work for reasoning about vague concepts. Since most of the data collected are either linguistic variable or consist of vague concepts so IF set and soft set help a lot in data mining problem. The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of IF soft lower rough approximation and IF upper rough set approximation. Also, some properties of this set are studied, and also some problems of decision making are cited where this concept may help. Further research will be needed to apply this concept fully in the decision making and data mining problems.

In recent years, Text Mining wasan important topic because of the growth of digital text data from many sources such as government document, Email, Social Media, Website, etc. The English poemsare one of the text data to categorization English Poems will use Text categorization, Text categorization is a method in which classify documents into one or more categories that were predefined the category based on the text content in a document .In this paper we will solve the problem of how to categorize the English poem into one of the English Poems categorizations by using text mining technique and Machine learning algorithm, Our data set consist of seven categorizations for poems the data set is divided into two-part training (learning)and testing data. In the proposed model we apply the text preprocessing for the documents file to reduce the number of feature and reduce dimensionality the preprocessing process converts the text poem to features and remove the irrelevant feature by using text mining process (tokenize, remove stop word and stemming), to reduce the feature vector of the remaining feature we usetwo methods for feature selection and use Rough set theory as machine learning algorithm to perform the categorization, and we get 88% success classification of the proposed model.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduced the concept of a soft hoop and we investigated some of their properties. Then, we established different types of intersections and unions of the family of soft hoops. We defined two operations ⊙ and → on the set of all soft hoops and we proved that with these operations, it is a hoop and also is a Heyting algebra. Finally we introduced a congruence relation on the set of all soft hoops and we investigated the quotient of it.

Diabetes is a noteworthy medical issue in both modern and creating nations, and its frequency is rising apparently. It is a metabolic disease in which the person who has been affected will have high blood glucose or high blood sugar. It is mainly because of inadequate production of insulin or the body’s cells do not respond to insulin. In some special cases it may be due to both the reasons. This disease causes a lot of health issues in humans’ life. Rough set and soft set theory plays a major role for dealing with uncertainty and it has been applied in many fields. In this paper we aim at finding the age group of people in which maximum diabetes mellitus occurs using the concept of rough soft set and rough soft decision set.

Soft-set theory proposed by Molodstov is a general mathematic tool for dealing with uncertainty. Recently, several algorithms have been proposed for decision making using soft-set theory. However, these algorithms still concern on Boolean-valued information system. In this paper, Support Attribute Representative (SAR), a soft-set based technique for decision making in categorical-valued information system is proposed. The proposed technique has been tested on three datasets to select the best partitioning attribute. Furthermore, two UCI benchmark datasets are used to elaborate the performance of the proposed technique in term of executing time. On these two datasets, it is shown that SAR outperforms three rough set-based techniques TR, MMR, and MDA up to 95% and 50%, respectively. The results of this research will provide useful information for decision makers to handle categorical datasets.

In this paper, the author presents the concept of topological space that must be used to show a relation between rough set and soft set. There are two main results presented; firstly, a construction of a quasi-discrete topology using indiscernibility (equivalence) relation in rough set theory is described. Secondly, the paper describes that a “general” topology is a special case of soft set. Hence, it is concluded that every rough set can be considered as a soft set.
