<span>Besides the development of technology in recent years, there has been an effective tendency to construct smart cities and homes. Whereas the smart home control system components can be incorporated with the existing home appliances to eliminate the need for human intervention, save electricity, protect homes from accidents as well as the theft, and provide home residents with comfort. This work comprises the utilising of the internet of things (IoT) technology to build the proposed design for the smart home. The proposed design includes many subsystems as well as several types of sensors, such as the passive infrared (PIR) sensor, the gas sensor, the soil moisture sensor, the water level sensor, the temperature sensor, the light dependent resistance (LDR), and the flame sensor. Each sensor will be connected to the Arduino Nano for the data processing purpose, after which the Arduino Nano will be connected to the NodeMCU module via the digital pins to implement the IoT subsystem. The proposed system also includes a smart garage gate based on Bluetooth HC-05 module with a specially programmed android app. </span>

Nowadays gardening has become a hobby for everyone. Everyone is showing interest in growing their own plants in their houses like terrace farming. So we have decided to do a project which can be useful for everyone even the farmers can be benefitted by our project. In our project we are preparing a greenhouse for cultivating different kinds of crops. Our greenhouse consists of arduino UNO, sensors like (temperature sensor, soil moisture sensor, colour sensor and light sensor), actuators. All these are used in sensing the outside environment and giving signals to arduino so that it sends the signal through GSM module and this GSM module will give us a message alert through our mobile phones like for example if the moisture is less in soil then we will get alert “your moisture has decreased water the plants” so that we can turn on our motor pumps to water. Here we are using thingspeak cloud for coding the arduino through IOT. Our project will also do its watering by itself when the moisture level decreases, this is done by soil moisture sensor. It is very reasonable and complete greenhouse can be constructed under Rs.10,000 which can save lots of money for the farmers. The crop yield will also be very good and this will be useful in increasing the economy of farming.

Development at this time is increasing, people expect a tool or technology that can help human work, so technology becomes a necessity for humans. This final task is made a device that can do the job of watering tomato plants automatically. This tool aims to replace the manual work becomes automatic. The benefit of this tool is that it can facilitate the work of humans in watering chili plants. This tool uses a soil moisture sensor which acts as a soil moisture detector and sends an order to Arduino Uno to turn on the relay driver so that the wiper motor can splash water according to the needs of the soil automatically. The making of this final project is done by designing, making and implementing system components which include Arduino uno as a controller, driver relay to blow on and off the wiper motor, LCD (Linquit Cristal Display) to display the percentage value of water content

Abstract Internet of Things (IoT) is a revolutionary technology that represents the future of communication and computing. The field of IoT implementation is vast and can be applied in every field. This project is about to develop an IoT system for Harumanis Farm as agriculture is becoming an essential growing sector throughout the world due to the increasing population. The major challenge in the Harumanis sector is to improve the productivity and quality of Harumanis without continuous manual monitoring. IoT improves crop management, cost-effectiveness, crop monitoring and also improves the quality and quantity of the crop. This IoT system completes with several sensors to monitor the Harumanis farm, such as temperature and humidity sensor, pH level sensor, soil moisture sensor, also nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium (NPK) sensor. The system is a simple IoT architecture where sensors collect information and send it over the Wi-Fi network to the mobile applications.

Internet of Things (IoT)is the network of home appliances, vehicles and physical devices, which enables the objects to connect and exchange of the data. By using these components IoT supports to develop numerous services in various domains, such as smart cities and smart homes. These components can interact with other components by enabling security such asproxies, data collection, data sharing and other activities in the context of service providence. Until now various research works have studied on these securityissues ofIoT by validating their claim. In this study we are developing a framework, which provides security to the home as well as to operate the appliances in the home using smart technology. For entering into the house using a biometric system, which uses authentication and digital signature to access. We have used biometric system to overcome problems we are facing. In this project there are different sensors such as water level sensor, light sensor, temperature sensor, gas sensor for operation of different appliances in the house.

- In today’s situation involuntary classifications remain existence favoured over physical system. Home automation is playing significant part in humanoid lifespan. The paper is used intended for nursing and controlling the home-grown utilizations via World Wide Web which container interconnect through home automation system through an Internet entry, by means of announcement conventions. Home automation scheme uses the hand-held or vesture diplomacies as a user boundary. This paper goals at supervisory household utilizations via Smartphone using Bluetooth as announcement etiquette and interfaced with Arduino Board. It assimilates Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, Temperature sensor, gas sensor, Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor. At this time PIR sensor and Temperature sensors remained used for controlling the spotlight and fan. The statement through attendant permits the operator to excellent the fitting device. In the proposed organization an android app was developed to access the system wherever via Internet of things. The gas device used to designate the absorption of gas in the air. Buzzer attentive is given to warm others neighbouring home and also the possessor through internet via the smart receiver. The LDR is used to switch garden spotlight. This project provides a low cost and competent Homegrown Computerization System.

AbstractThe Internet of Things (IoT) is bringing Internet connectivity to a wide range of devices which results in an increasing number of products for smart home, industry 4.0 and/or smart cities. Even though IoT has the ambition to reach an increasing amount of devices and be scalable across different domains, lack of interoperability inhibits this scope to be attained. Recent standardization efforts by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) are addressing the interoperability problem by the means of Thing Description (TD) that allows humans and machines to understand the capabilities and communication interfaces of IoT devices. In this paper, we show a more systematic and streamlined development of IoT devices and systems that relies on the TD standard. We introduce three different complementary methods that can be applied independently in the different stages of the development, or as a framework to streamline the development of IoT devices and systems. As a result of using the TD standard, interoperability between IoT devices of various stakeholders is ensured from early stages and the time to market is reduced.

As the development of systems in smart homes is increasing, it is of ever-increasing importance to have data, which artificial intelligence methods and techniques can apply to recognize activities and patterns or to detect anomalies, with the aim of reducing energy consumption in the main home domestic services, and to offer users an alternative in the management of these resources. This paper describes the design and implementation of a platform based on the internet of things and a cloud environment that allows the user to remotely control and monitor Wi-Fi wireless e-switch in a home through a mobile application. This platform is intended to represent the first step in transforming a home into a smart home, and it allows the collection and storage of the e-switch information, which can be used for further processing and analysis.

The development in this era is increasing, humans expect a tool or technology that can help human work, because now technology has become a human need. Therefore, a device that can do watering the wine is made automatically. This tool aims to replace manual work to be automatic. The benefits that can be obtained from this tool is that it can facilitate human work in watering grapes. This tool uses a soil moisture sensor which functions as a soil moisture detector and sends commands to Arduino uno to turn on the relay driver so that the pump can flush water according to soil needs automatically. The making of this final project is done by designing, creating and implementing system components including Arduino uno as a controller, relay drivers for turning on and off the water pump, LCD (Liquid Cristal Display) to display soil moisture values. The results of the research prove that the tool made can function properly and can be developed as expected. The tool can water the vine when the soil humidity is below 50%, and turn off the pump when the soil moisture is above 50%.
