In Malaysia, railway is considered as the backbone of transport, connecting people from all across the country. With the current state of economy, more people prefer to choose train as main transportation especially in big city area such as Kuala Lumpur. With lower cost and relatively the safest form of transports compared to the other transports, like cars, motorcycles or busses, it is a wise choice to use train as daily commute transport. Nowadays, the rail traffic network in Malaysia are getting busier with trains traveling at higher speeds and carrying more passengers with heavier axle loads than before. With the increase of passenger, the risk involved in daily train operation will significantly increase. An improved safety system is required to keep up with the ever growing train loads. The proposed safety system is applied to alert the train operators. The whole system is comprised of an ultrasonic sensor connected to a database and an Atmega328P microcontroller mounted on a custom PCB board. It is found that the train in this country requires a distance of 77 meter in order to completely stop the train with regards to a few assumptions on the average mass and the speed of the train.

Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and other threats have recently approached and then vanished from our environment, posing a major threat to human safety. we designed a short-range obstacle detection system based on 8051 microcontroller to assist us in detecting this type of impediment and alerting us before we are wondered. To do this, we use a buzzer and an LED in our system, and we're aiming to develop a small system (SROD) to detect the object for detecting the object we used ultrasonic sensor as a radar so when the obstacle is detected by radar the distance is displayed on the LCD.

The current state of the art for automatic transcription of historical manuscripts is typically limited by the requirement of human-annotated learning samples, which are are necessary to train specific machine learning models for specific languages and scripts. Transcription alignment is a simpler task that aims to find a correspondence between text in the scanned image and its existing Unicode counterpart, a correspondence which can then be used as training data. The alignment task can be approached with heuristic methods dedicated to certain types of manuscripts, or with weakly trained systems reducing the required amount of annotations. In this article, we propose a novel learning-based alignment method based on fully convolutional object detection that does not require any human annotation at all. Instead, the object detection system is initially trained on synthetic printed pages using a font and then adapted to the real manuscripts by means of self-training. On a dataset of historical Vietnamese handwriting, we demonstrate the feasibility of annotation-free alignment as well as the positive impact of self-training on the character detection accuracy, reaching a detection accuracy of 96.4% with a YOLOv5m model without using any human annotation.

The intruder detection system is targeted for the private areas, restricted areas and for the domestic home applications to notify the entrance of the intruder or any person to the specified areas. The intruder detection system eliminates the theft and entrance of the persons to the restricted areas by notifying the owner or the gardener through the registered application when the system detects an intruder in the locality. In this work an IoT based intruder detection system named Smart-IDS is proposed to avoid the entrance of the person without any special workforce for the target location. The proposed Smart-IDS detects the intruder using the Node MCU and Ultrasonic sensor and the cloud based Blynk application is employed to send the alert notification to the user. The experiments with the proposed Smart-IDS has performed more efficiently.

our aim is to develop a project that will benefit society. But nowadays it is employed to assist human in surveillance, rescue and recovery missions. This paper presents the prototype model of an UGV which is operated wirelessly through manual navigation commands based on the live video captured from the IP camera mounted on the board. The distance measurement is done by the Ultrasonic sensor from the obstacle and displayed in the LCD. The target tracking as well as attacking is done based on the obstacle and environment situation monitored in the live video. This complete set up and working of the UGV is described further in this paper
