A decision-making process in an organization is more effective if it is supported by reliable and valid information systems. Management Information System (MIS) and Decision Support System (DSS) are two systems commonly used by organizational leaders to collect information for making the Quality of Decision (QD). This study aimed to empirically investigate MIS influences on vocational high school principals’ QD. Besides, this study examined the moderation effect of the DSS on the decision-making processes. This quantitative research employed the survey method and purposive sampling technique. As many as 60 vocational high school principals and vice-principals in Yogyakarta, Indonesia were the participants of this study. They filled in questionnaires consisting of 19 items that were developed using the Likert scale. The quantitative data obtained were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. The research findings show that MIS has a significant effect on the quality of the decision-making process by vocational high school principals. However, for improving the decision quality, the model must be assisted by DSS as the moderator variable. MIS carries information required for principals while DSS provides data, model, and analysis instruments used for special cases in vocational high schools.

Cheating on tests is a serious problem in education. The purpose of this study was to test the efficacy of a modified form of the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to predict cheating behavior among a sample of Saudi university students. This study also sought to test the influence of cheating in high school on cheating in college within the framework of the TPB. Analyses were conducted on a sample of 322 undergraduate students using structural equation modeling. The results were consistent with the TPB model’s predictions. The TPB model explained a modest variance in cheating in college. When cheating in high school added to the model, the proportion of explained variance increased and cheating in high school was the best predictor of cheating in college. Although not hypothesized by the TPB, subjective norm had a direct effect on attitude.

This paper compares Structural Equation Modeling and Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory. Structural Equation Modeling and Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory are all methods to study factors’ structure problem. Some steps of the two methods can completely replace each other and complement each other. This paper puts forward an integrated method of Structural Equation Modeling and Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory that includes competing model specification, model fitting, model assessment, model modification and result explain.

This study aims to prove the effect of lifestyle, strategy choice orientation on business decision making. This study uses primary data through a survey of culinary entrepreneurs in Palembang. The questionnaire data used in this study were 92 (61.3%). Analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Squares (PLS) using Warp PLS software version 5.0 to examine the research. The results of the study show that the lifestyle and strategy choice orientation affects business decision-making.

The purpose of this study is to determine and prove whether the variablesof the marketing mix significantly has influenced the consumer’s decision making tobuy the product at PT. Griya Pagelaran Bogor. The population of this study are thenumber of unknown sampling determination using Maximum Likelihood estimationmethod by taking samples of consumers who their needs has met with theresearcher requirement as many as 150 respondents. The analytical method hasused is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using AMOS 21 program. The result ofthe research shows that 1) Product Variables have a significance level of 0.05 whichis 1,965 > 1,96 and value (p) probability 0,49 ≤ 0.05. Then Ha is accepted andsignificant effect. 2) Variable Price level of significance 0.05 is 2.023 > 1.96 and hasa probability of 0.43 which is below 0.05. And the value (p) probability ≤ 0.05 then Hais accepted and significant effect. 3) Place Variables significance level of 0.05 is2.251 > 1.96 and has a probability of 0.24 which is below 0.05. And the value (p)probability ≤ 0.05 then Ha is accepted and significant effect. 4) Promotion Variables0.05 level of significance is 3.435 > 1.96 and has a probability in accordance with therecommended. And the value (p) probability ≤ 0.05 then Ha accepted and significanteffect.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine a model linking school principals’ strategic, interpersonal skills and teachers’ participation in decision making (PDM) to predict teachers’ skill flexibility (SF) during the implementation of educational reform. Design/methodology/approach From 113 randomly selected elementary schools in Israel that had undergone a reform called “New Horizon,” 1,482 teachers participated in the study. Data were analyzed through the multilevel structural equation modeling. Findings Results showed that only principals’ strategic skills lead to teachers’ PDM, which in turn predicts teachers’ SF. Furthermore, based on the upper echelon theory (Hambrick and Mason, 1984), principals’ strategic skills promoted teachers’ SF through teachers’ PDM. Research limitations/implications This research enables expanding the theoretical upper echelon model, both in the context of leaders’ skills and in their relation to change outcomes. Practical implications Using of strategic skills will help principals influence teachers to participate in decision making, adapt to the reform and promote their ability to use skills according to changing needs. Originality/value The results of this research emphasize the strategic role of school principals as the leaders of organizational change and promoters of its outcomes.
