The study addresses the efficacy of the competency-based approach in physical education on the basis of the developed model of universal competency (UC-7) formation. The experimental work at the informational stage involved a questionnaire survey, a physical performance test, studies of morphological and functional indicators and psychophysical state. The organizational-activity stage included a program of methodological-practical and educational-training sessions, based on the personality-oriented approach to physical culture and sports activity and aimed at the formation of special knowledge, abilities and skills that contribute to maintaining the proper level of physical fitness and to ensure full-fledged social and professional activity. The control stage included a questionnaire survey and tests aimed at determining the psycho-emotional state, which allowed determining the level of competency formation in students according to the developed assessment system. The competency-based approach was introduced to the physical educational process based on the universal competency formation model. The educational process was reorganized pursuant to new pedagogical conditions. The results were the improvement of students’ physical activity, fitness and performance; the indicators of pulmonary function improved; and the level of personal and situational anxiety and depression in students decreased.

Based on the application of big data, this paper constructed a theoretical model focusing on the mechanism of data empowerment on the service innovation capability of logistics platform enterprises, with value cocreation as the mediating variable and environmental dynamism as the moderating variable. The research hypothesis was empirically tested based on the results obtained from the questionnaire survey. The results demonstrate that data empowerment can promote the value co-creation between logistics platform enterprises and users, and value co-creation is an important factor to promote the service innovation capability of logistics platform enterprises. Meanwhile, the moderating variable of environmental dynamism is found to inhibit the interaction between cooperation and service innovation capability. The findings expand the theoretical research on data empowerment and raise important inspiration for practical activities of logistics platform enterprises.

This study investigates the antecedents of environmentally responsible behaviour by creating a theoretical model of relationships between service quality, place attachment and environmentally responsible behaviour. A questionnaire survey was conducted among tourists who visited six famous tourist attractions in Shaanxi, China. The results of the research demonstrate that service quality exerts influence on environmentally responsible behaviour and place attachment in a positive manner. Additionally, the findings suggest that place attachment affects environmentally responsible behaviour in a direct and positive manner. Moreover, it is also found that service quality strengthens its effect on environmentally responsible behaviour through place attachment, indicating the mediating role of place attachment in the link between service quality and environmentally responsible behaviour. The current research contributes to tourism literature in that it helps to better understand the tourists’ environmentally responsible behaviour and provides management with evidence of the significance for improving the service quality at tourist attractions.

AbstractCarpooling as a transportation demand management (TDM) tool is currently being prevalent in major Chinese cities and producing much diminishment in the frequency of solo-driving trips. Meanwhile, much disputes relating to carpooling is arising. To better understand the acceptance and the influence factors of carpooling, this paper investigates travelers’ willingness to provide and accept carpooling services. Firstly, a questionnaire survey was conducted. Secondly, we proposed a theoretical model, both car-owners and non-car-owners were sampled as respondents, and a multi-variable regression method was employed to analyze the survey data. Finally, we found that the higher acceptance, the more positive reactions to carpooling. The results indicate that it is necessary to improve the public’s acceptance of carpooling, because lower acceptance will lead to more negative reactions towards the carpooling, which may weaken its effectiveness.
