A shortened development process method for warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabric

At present, warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabric has become the research focus due to its comfort and highly efficient production. In order to shorten the development process of warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabric, a computing method including theoretical modeling and simulation is proposed in this paper to simulate 2–5 guide bar warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabric. Based on the structure model of warp-knitted fabric, a new model of geometric shape, including loops and underlap, is built according to size measurement results of the loops. In terms of the establishment of mathematical models, such as models of yarn-pressing, loop types, loop locations, guide bar threading, color and fineness, the transformation between knitting technology and mathematical language is realized. With the double buffer technique of HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), loops and underlaps of each bar are displayed separately on different canvases superposed in some order. Simulation is implemented for 2–5 bar warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabric via JavaScript and C# programming languages. The results indicate that this method is able to simulate diverse 2–5 bar warp-knitted yarn-dyed shirt fabrics in a short time. The pattern effect can be seen with a high similarity and practicability before it is produced, thereby shortening the development.

The calculations required in project activities for engineering students are commonly performed in electronic spreadsheets. Practice has shown that utilizing those calculations could prove to be quite difficult for students of other fields. One of the causes for such situation (as well as partly for problems observed during Java and C programming languages courses) lies in the lack of a streamlined distribution structure for both the source data and the end results. A solution could be found in utilizing a shared approach for information structuring in spreadsheet and software environment, called “the Book Method”, which takes into account the engineering psychology issues regarding the user friendliness of working with electronic information. This method can be applied at different levels in academic institutions and at teacher training courses.

Nowadays, one of the most important challenges in programming is the efficient usage of multicore processors. All modern programming languages support multicore programming at native or library level. C++11, the next standard of the C++ programming language, also supports multithreading at a low level. In this paper we argue for some extensions of the C++ Standard Template Library based on the features of C++11. These extensions enhance the standard library to be more powerful in the multicore realm. Our approach is based on functors and lambda expressions, which are major extensions in the language. We contribute three case studies: how to efficiently compose functors in pipelines, how to evaluate boolean operators in parallel, and how to efficiently accumulate over associative functors.

In modern times, competitiveness in the market depends on having a good information system. The companies developing and supplying information systems are in competition too, and having an effective system of delivery is critical for obtaining lucrative offers. Therefore, the software development companies continuously try to improve their development process to supply the product in a short time and with high quality. The agile approach potentially shortens this time and is very often used. This approach has almost replaced the traditional process. More and more companies implement agile approach in these times to be competitive in the software development market and hasten product delivering.The traditional and agile approaches differ in certain perspectives. Hence, the question arises as to whether the agile approach is the best for the software development company in every case. This article contains a comparison of these two approaches, as well as a case study relating to the agile approach in a real software development company, which had previously used the traditional approach. The article also describes situation where replacing the traditional approach with agile would improve results.


This chapter presents the computer implementation of the tree-based genetic programming in C# programming language. Since C# is a common object-oriented programming language, with little modification the source code presented in the chapter can be easily transformed into Java or C++ programming languages. The chapter covers all aspects of the implementation: node, chromosome, population, function set, and terminal set class implementations. The chapter is carefully structured, so at the end of the chapter fully working GP computer program will be implemented which can solve regression and multiclass classification problems. The reader should not worry about specific operating system, or development environment, since all code implementations are based on cross-OS and open source integrated development environment visual studio code which can run on Windows, Mac, or Linux.

This chapter aims to present a new modeling paradigm that promises to significantly increase the efficiency of developing enterprise information systems. Currently, the software industry faces considerable challenges as it tries to build larger, more complex, software systems with fewer resources. Although modern programming languages such as C++ and Java have in general improved the software development process, they have failed to significantly increase developer’s productivity. Thus, developers are considering other paths to address this issue. One of the potential paths is designing, developing and deploying enterprise information systems using the Model Driven Architecture (MDA). MDA is a model-centric approach that allows for modeling the overall business of an enterprise and capturing requirements to developing, deploying, integrating, and managing different kinds of software components without considering any particular implementation technology. At the center of this approach are models; the software development process is driven by constructing models representing the software under development. Code that expresses the implementation of the model in a certain underlying technology is obtained as a result of model transformation. Thus, the intellectual investment spent in developing the business model of an enterprise is not jeopardized by the continuous changes of the implementation technologies. Currently there are two main approaches trying to implement MDA-based tools. One of the approaches is based on the Object Constraint Language and the other on Action Language. An example of designing, developing and deploying an application using this new modeling paradigm is presented. The MDA approach to software development is considered as the biggest shift since the move from Assembler to the first high level languages.

This paper describes the impact of pressure pulsation on a system for fuel consumption measurement. The generation of pressure pulses by the injection pump(s) on the low pressure side of Diesel engines for power generation, ship propulsion or rail traction is described. Pressure values at the location of the fuel consumption measurement system are shown. Along with measurement results of the dynamic pressure variation over a flowmeter. The relation between pressure variation and the pulse output of the flowmeter is presented. These measurements quantify the velocity variations of the fuel. With help of the measurement results, the reason for temporary reverse flow is explained. We present a system for engine related fuel consumption measurement that withstands the impact of mechanical force caused by pressure pulses, which follows the velocity variation of the fuel and which indicates and calculates short-time reverse flow to achieve an accurate measurement result.

Abstract This paper provides an example of the application of the acoustic emission (AE) method for the diagnosis of technical conditions of a three-phase on-load tap-changer (OLTC) GIII type. The measurements were performed for an amount of 10 items of OLTCs, installed in power transformers with a capacity of 250 MVA. The study was conducted in two different OLTC operating conditions during the tapping process: under load and free running conditions. The analysis of the measurement results was made in both time domain and time-frequency domain. The description of the AE signals generated by the OLTC in the time domain was performed using the analysis of waveforms and determined characteristic times. Within the time-frequency domain the measured signals were described by short-time Fourier transform spectrograms.

Abstract Chinese hickory shell, a by-product of the food industry, is still not utilized and urgent to develop sustainable technologies for its valorization. This research focuses on the systematical evaluation of degraded products and xylooligosaccharide production with high yield from the shell via hydrothermal process. The results indicated that the pretreatment condition strongly affected the chemical structures and compositions of the liquid fraction. The maximum yield of XOS (55.3 wt%) with limitation of by-products formation was achieved at 160 oC for 2 h. High temperature (220 oC) and short time (0.5 h) contributed to hydrolysis of xylooligosaccharide with high DP to yield 37.5 wt% xylooligosaccharide with DP from 2 to 6. xylooligosaccharide obtained mainly consisted of xylan with branches according to the HSQC NMR analysis. Overall, the production of XOS with a high yield from food waste will facilitate the valorization of food waste in the biorefinery industry.
