Combining data from the sixth wave (2010–2014) of the World Values Survey (WVS) and the 2012–2013 Perceptions of Electoral Integrity (PEI) expert survey, this study looks at the link between the frequency of citizens’ informational use of traditional media (newspapers, magazines, radio and TV) and the internet, and the accuracy of their perceptions of the electoral process, and investigates how this link varies depending on countries’ levels of press freedom. A multilevel analysis including data from 16 countries shows that the frequency of the use of traditional media has a significantly more positive effect on the accuracy of citizens’ perceptions of electoral integrity in countries with high levels of press freedom compared with countries with low levels of press freedom. The frequency of the use of the internet relates similarly to the accuracy of perceptions of electoral integrity in countries with high and low levels of press freedom.

The decline of public consensus is often linked to the rise of the Internet. Conceptualizing the Internet as a context, this paper explores its impacts on public consensus on development. The data of the World Values Survey were used for multilevel analyses with 58,926 respondents in 38 countries. It reported three counterbalances. First, Internet penetration weakens public consensus on development, but promotes the individual use of the Internet, which strengthens public consensus on development. Second, Internet freedom and Internet participation contribute to a robust online democracy, which buffers the informational impact of Internet penetration. Third, public consensus on development is nurtured in a context where Internet freedom serves as an instrument to protect an open, free public sphere, but is fragmented by a country’s overall ideological orientation towards freedom.

Abstract: The increasing use of the internet in the world, making internet traffic become high. The need for interconnection between networks is increasing in companies with many branches. Therefore companies are required to spend even more budget. To reduce excess expenditure, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is needed. By utilizing Open VPN-Server Access that is issued is cheaper compared to VPN-IP leases that are relatively more expensive. For better tissue, it must be supported by the best topological structure according to installation. The choice of topology at the beginning of network development is very important to make this Virtual Private Network (VPN) access well connected.   Keywords: VPN, Networking, Open VPN-Acces Server.

With the increased use of the Internet to share confidential information with other users around the world, the demands to protect this information are also increasing. This is why, today, privacy has found its important place in users' lives. However, Internet users have different interpretations of the meaning of privacy. This fact makes it difficult to find the best way to address the privacy issue. In addition, most of the current standard protocols in use over the Internet do not support the level of privacy that most users expect. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the best balance between users' expectation and the practical level of privacy to address user privacy needs and evaluate the most important protocols from privacy aspects.

Analysis of E-marketing Strategies The Internet has led to an increasingly connected environment, and the growth of Internet usage has resulted in declining distribution of traditional media: television, radio, newspapers and magazines. Marketing in this connected environment and the use of that connectivity to market is e-marketing. E-Marketing embraces a wide range of strategies, but what underpins successful e-marketing is a user-centric and cohesive approach to these strategies. While the Internet and the World Wide Web have enabled what we call New Media, the theories that led to the development of the Internet have been developed since the 1950s. This paper focuses on only e-marketing strategies, not the plan of e-marketing.

The increasing interest of people around the world towards the popular cultures of China, Korea and Japan leads researchers to question how these countries influence the socio-cultural spaces of other countries through the export of their mass culture products. This study focuses on the analysis of Chinese doramas in the Russian sociocultural space. The increasing number of online fan communities, the activity of translators and dubbers of Chinese TV series, and the widespread use of the Internet in Russia make Chinese dramas easily accessible to a wide audience. Using quantitative methods, the author of the study came to the conclusion that people in Russia are very interested in Asian cultures, and audiences of Asian TV series are growing at a tremendous rate every year. While Korean dramas remain the most popular in Russia, Chinese serials have great competitive potential against their Korean and Japanese counterparts. This article may be useful to all researchers of mass and popular culture and television series.
