Lipoblastoma is a rare benign tumor of primitive white fat in children, which usually involves the trunk and extremities. It rarely involves retroperitoneum, head, neck, and mediastinum. Herein, the authors introduce a rare presentation of lipoblastoma as a large intrathoracic mass.

Juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG) is the most common type of non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis. JXG is a rare benign tumor, which may be present at birth or develop later. The classical form of JXG is characterized by a red-yellowish benign papule or nodule with predilection sites on the head, neck, and trunk, although lesions can appear on extremities or extracutaneous sites. In most cases there is only one lesion, whereas numerous papules or nodules may occur. Special forms of JXG such as mixed, giant, subcutaneous, eruptive, clustered, and plaque-like have been reported and associations between JXG and systemic diseases have been made. Diagnosis mainly relies on the clinical appearance, and histology usually can confirm the disease. Here we present a very rare case of symmetrical giant facial plaque-type juvenile xanthogranuloma (SGFP-JXG) and compare it with classical JXG, variations of JXG, and discuss the differential diagnosis. A 4-year-old Caucasian female presented with plaque-like lesions composed of yellowish confluent papules on both the cheeks. The histological evaluation revealed a histiocytic lesion with a formation of Touton giant cells and immunohistochemistry results confirmed the diagnosis of the SGFP-JXG. In comparison to classical JXG, the onset of SGFP-JXG sometimes occurs later and the spontaneous resolution period may be prolonged. No associated diseases and no systemic involvements were observed. Histopathology is required to differentiate this form of JXG from other histiocytosis. To the best of our knowledge, only four cases of SGFP-JXG have been reported in the literature so far.

Background: Hemolymphangioma is a rare benign tumor. To the best of our knowledge, there were only 10 reports of this tumor of the pancreas until March 2018. Case Report: Here, we reported a large invasive hemolymphangioma of the pancreas in a young woman with a complaint of abdominal distension and an epigastric mass about 3 weeks. She was found to have a huge multilocular cystic tumor at the neck and body of pancreas on computed tomography. She was eventually diagnosed with hemolymphangioma of the pancreas after operation. After 2 years of follow-up, there was no signs of recurrence. Conclusion: From our case and literature, we can conclude that hemolymphangioma of the pancreas is uncommon benign tumor, and it is hard to make an accurate diagnosis preoperatively. Radical surgical resection should be performed whenever possible. The prognosis of this disease seems good.

Testicular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin is a rare benign tumor of testis, which usually presents as a slow growing testicular mass. Intratesticular fibroma of gonadal stromal origin, with or without minor sex cord elements, must be considered, analogous to similar tumors in ovary, as a benign tumor. Until now, only 25 cases of testicular fibroma have been reported in the literature. We reported a case of testicular fibroma in a 20 years male who presented with painless right testicular enlargement since two years. Ultrasonography (USG) showed heterogeneous mass in right scrotum suggestive of testicular malignancy. Right orchidectomy was done. Histopathological diagnosis was testicular fibroma, which was confirmed by immunohistochemistry.

Diagnosis of mid-cheek mass has always been a diagnostic dilemma for clinicians. The incidence of the accessory parotid gland (APG) has been well documented in the literature. However, a diverse spectrum of pathologies can arise from this accessory parotid tissue. Basal cell adenoma is a rare benign tumor that predominantly affects the parotid gland. Its occurrence in the accessory parotid gland has been documented in 9 cases till date. Surgical approaches for the management of such APG lesions have been in debate. This report documents a case of Basal Cell Adenoma arising in accessory parotid tissue in a 55-year-old woman who was treated by transoral excision. This paper also reviews previously documented cases of all APG lesions and attempts to elucidate the rationale for selecting an appropriate surgical approach.

Papillary fibroelastoma is a rare, benign tumor that affects males more frequently than females and that tends to be diagnosed during the fifth or sixth decade of life. It tends to arise on cardiac valves, with the aortic valve being the most frequent location followed by the mitral valve, the tricuspid valve, and the pulmonary valve. We present the case of a robotic-assisted, totally endoscopic excision of a mitral valve papillary fibroelastoma.

Nodular fasciitis is a benign tumor, resulting from reactive proliferation composed of fibroblastic/myofibroblastic cells. Due to its rapid growth and high cellularity it may be mistaken for sarcoma. Despite the possibility of spontaneous regression, excision is the treatment of choice. A 24-year-old female patient presented with a nodule on the zygomatic region with 3 months of evolution. Excisional biopsy was performed. Histopathological examination associated with immunohistochemical markers HHF35, AML and Ki-67 allowed diagnostic confirmation. The main relevance of the case presented is its rare location, suggesting its inclusion among the differential diagnoses of tumor lesions on the face.

Background: PRMC is a very rare benign tumor of the abdominal cavity that usually occurs in women, and PRMC demonstrate no specific findings on CT. There are many reports on the differential diagnosis and discussion of PRMC imaging, but there are few reports on the treatment of dedifferentiated PRMC using laparoscopic resection and postoperative follow-up.

We report the rare case of 65-year-old male patient with supratentorial hemangioblastoma and gigantic cyst of the left hemisphere of the brain without von Hippel-Lindau disease. Hemangioblastoma is a rare benign tumor classified as grade I by the WHO of the central nervous system of uncertain histogenesis. This neoplasm’s stroma consists of dense networks of thin-walled blood vessels of various calibers. About 140 cases of supratentorial localization of this type of tumor are presented in the world literature. We have given a fairly complete clinical, neuroradiological and histological picture that allows one to differentiate hemangioblastoma from other histological structures. Promising modalities in the treatment of patients with this pathology when it is impossible to perform total tumor resection are considered.
