The present study aims to explore the role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) concept with a combination of an effectuation concept. First, it examined the effect of ESE on resources acquisition in a new venture in an emerging country’s context. Second, it attempted to use effectuation principles, namely, affordable loss, set of means, and precommitment as mediators in a relationship between ESE and resource acquisition in a new venture. A sample of 462 agro-processing entrepreneurs is explicitly surveyed and interviewed. The hierarchical regression and structural equation model were employed to analyze the data. Results showed that an ESE has a significant positive effect on the venture’s resources acquisition ability. Moreover, results showed that the effect of ESE in resource acquisition is manifested through affordable loss, precommitment, and set of means principles. Theoretically, this study extends the knowledge on the mediating role of effectuation principles using ESE in pursuing essential venture functions such as resources acquisition.

This study examined the influence of organizational culture and job satisfaction on organizational commitment and performance of midwives in the Mataram City Public Hospital. Specifically the purpose of this study was to determine the significance of the influence of organizational culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment on the performance of midwives, to know the significance of organizational culture and job satisfaction on organizational commitment, and to know the mediating role of variable organizational commitment in midwives in Mataram City Hospital. The study population was 72 midwives in charge of the RSUD Kota Mataram. This study uses structural equation model analysis (SEM analysis) with smartPLS applications. The results showed that organizational culture and organizational commitment had a significant positive effect on the performance of midwives, while job satisfaction did not significantly affect performance. Organizational culture and job satisfaction have a significant positive effect on organizational commitment. For the influence of mediation on organizational commitment, there is a full mediating role in the influence of job satisfaction on midwife performance, while the influence of organizational culture on the performance of midwives is found to have a partial mediation effect.Keywords:Organizational Culture, Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, Midwife Performance.

This study aims to empirically prove that the relationship between self-efficacy, academic motivation, self-regulated learning and academic achievement. In addition, empirically proved the mediating role of self-regulated learning on self-efficacy, academic motivation and student achievement. This study used quantitative expansive method. The sample of this study was 246 students of an Islamic senior high school recruited using census technique; thus, the entire population was used as the sample of the study. Data were collected using a questionnaire and were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results empirically show that there is a relationship between self-efficacy, academic motivation, self-regulated learning and academic achievement. However, there is no relationship between self-regulated learning and academic achievement.

Purpose: This study aims to combine the literature of consumer behavior and green marketing into a new managerial framework of green motivation. In addition, the present study proposes an original framework to explore the influence of Green Self-Efficacy (GSE) on Green Buying Intentions (GPI) of consumers through the mediating role of Perceived Consumer Effectiveness (PCE). Design/Methodology/Approach: The current study summarizes the literature of four concepts namely green self-efficacy, perceived consumer effectiveness and green purchase intentions to develop a new framework to enhance green purchasing intentions. A questionnaire was administered to empirically verify the hypothesis and data collected from Indian consumers were analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) and Hayes’s Mediation Model. Findings: The study found the positive and significant effect of GSE on GPI through PCE. In addition, the relationship between GSE and GPI are partially mediated by PCE. The conclusions drawn in the study is useful for marketers to understand the factors that affect the purchasing intentions of the consumers and will help them improve the strategies in order to increase green sales. Indeed, green marketing is a distinct and distinguish way of positioning a product or company which can benefit the society with improved environmental conditions and healthy products. Originality: Although researchers have been studying the role of green motivation, particularly in the context of green purchasing behavior, it may safely asserted that the boarder dimension of GM, GSE and PCE have been remained under-researched. This study proposes an original framework to enhance GPI via GSE and PCE.

This study examined the mediating role of social capital on the relationship between organizational culture and knowledge management. Data were obtained from bank employees in Iran. After a screening process, the data from a sample of 127 employees was used to test the mediation model using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicated that organizational culture had a significant positive effect on knowledge management and social capital. Furthermore, social capital had a significant positive effect on knowledge management confirming the mediating role of social capital. The current research contributes to the knowledge management literature by exploring a plausible explanation for the strong relationships between organizational culture and knowledge management. This study encourages practitioners to develop social capital and mutual trust among employees to promote effective knowledge management practices.

This study examined the effect of spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment on job satisfaction and OCB on Non-PNS Leading Sector Assistant III East Lombok Regency employees. Specifically the purpose of this study was to determine the significance of the influence of spiritual intelligence, organizational commitment and job satisfaction on OCB, determine the significance of the influence of spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment on job satisfaction, and find out the mediating role of the variable job satisfaction. The population of this study were all Non-PNS employees who served in the Leading Sector Assistant III of East Lombok Regency as many as 98 respondents. This study uses structural equation model analysis (SEM analysis) with smartPLS applications. The results showed that spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction had a significant effect on OCB, while spiritual intelligence and organizational commitment did not significantly influence OCB. For the mediating effect of job satisfaction, there is a full mediation role in the significant influence of organizational commitment on OCB, whereas the influence of spiritual intelligence on OCB has not found a significant mediating effect of the variable job satisfaction.Keywords:Spiritual Intelligence, Organizational Commitment, Job Satisfaction, OCB.

This study aimed to investigate the direct influence of entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial mindset, and creativity on the entrepreneurial intention with the indirect role of entrepreneurial self-efficacy. This study applied the structural equation model technique using AMOS software to verify the hypothesis relationships. This study collected self-administered survey data from 365 university students of Jiangsu and Zhejiang province of China. The findings indicated that entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial mindset, and creativity have a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, results revealed that entrepreneurial self-efficacy partially mediates in the relationship between entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial mindset, and creativity on entrepreneurial intention. Further implications and limitations are also discussed in this article.

The leadership in the TNI environment is very typical according to the stylish nature of the command organization and is supported by the participation of its members; therefore, this study aims to find out how the influence of charismatic leadership and training on the performance of the Indonesian Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Center (Pushidrosal) with Self Efficacy as intervening. This study was conducted on Pushidrosal personnel rank of officers, where the sample used was 217 respondents taken using the census method. Data obtained by questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure 45 indicators processed with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Amos 22.0 application. The results showed that: Charismatic leadership and training had no direct effect on self-efficacy, self-efficacy had no direct effect on performance. Charismatic leadership and training have a significant positive effect on performance both directly and indirectly. The results of the study also show that Self Efficacy has a positive mediating role for charismatic leadership and training on performance.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the roles of four distinct but related aspects of psychological capital – optimism, hope, self-efficacy and resilience – in facilitating employee creativity. Drawing on the psychological capital perspective and the creativity literature, we propose that optimism and hope increase employee self-efficacy and resilience, which benefits employee creativity. Moreover, the authors hypothesize that self-efficacy and resilience have mediating roles in the psychological capital context, which, in turn, has a positive effect on individual employees’ creativity. Design/methodology/approach Data were obtained from a survey of multiple manufacturing firms on individual employee psychological capital and creativity. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses regarding psychological capital and creativity in a sample of 468 individual employees. Findings The results provide evidence that only resilience plays a mediating role between optimism and hope and employee creativity. The authors found that psychological capital is positively related to employee creativity. Practical implications These findings provide guidance for understanding how to better address the psychological capital that contributes to employee creativity in the workplace. Specifically, this study provides a rationale for facilitating the development of employee creativity by exposing the effect and path of psychological capital. Originality/value This study is the first to examine the antecedents and mediating role of four distinct yet correlated dimensions of psychological capital on employee creativity. The findings of this study contribute to the theoretical development of a conceptual model that investigates the black box of the four aspects of psychological capital and creativity.

This paper examined the mediating effect of risk management for strategic planning and profitability of Islamic banks in Palestine. The questionnaires were distributed randomly among 97 directors who have experience in strategic and risk management. A structural equation model was employed to test the research hypotheses. The result revealed that strategic planning and risk management have a significant positive effect on profitability, while strategic planning has a significant positive effect on risk management. In addition, risk management was evidenced to partially mediate the linkage between strategic planning and profitability. The current study yielded support for the claim that risk management played a significant mediating role in the relationship between strategic planning and profitability. Bank directors having good strategic planning and effective risk control tend to get a higher level of profitability. Therefore, Islamic banks should construct a proper strategy in line with their risk management practices and provide a robust risk assessment to protect their financial resources. Ultimately, they can attain superior profitability.

This study aims to investigate the impact of parental career behaviors on undergraduate student’s career exploration and the mediating role of career self-efficacy. In the literature it is suggested that some social and individual factors facilitate students’ career exploration. Therefore, parental career behaviors and career self-efficacy is considered as predictors of student’s career exploration attitudes within the scope of the study. In this respect, data which are collected from 405 undergraduate students having an education on tourism and hotel management field by the survey method are analyzed by using the structural equation modeling. The results of the study indicate that parental career behaviors which are addressed support; interference and lack of engagement have a significant effect on student’s career exploration behaviors such as intended-systematic exploration, environment exploration and self-exploration. In addition, it has been found that one of the dimensions of parental career behaviors addressed as a lack of engagement has a significant effect on career self-efficacy levels of students. However, research results indicate that student’s career self-efficacy has a significant effect on only the self-exploration dimension. On the other hand, career self-efficacy has a partial mediating role between lack of engagement attitudes of parents and career exploration behaviors of students.
