<p>Speaker recognition systems are classified according to their database, feature extraction techniques and classification methods. It is analyzed that there is a much need to work upon all the dimensions of forensic speaker recognition systems from the very beginning phase of database collection to recognition phase. The present work provides a structured approach towards developing a robust speech database collection for efficient speaker recognition system. The database required for both systems is entirely different. The databases for biometric systems are readily available while databases for forensic speaker recognition system are scarce. The paper also presents several databases available for speaker recognition systems.</p><p> </p>

<p>In today’s dynamic business environment, for companies to exist, they must continuously look for areas for improvement and gain competitive advantage. It therefore becomes quintessential for companies to know which factors can have a positive effect on the company’s performance. The purpose of this article is thus to explore if there a relationship between the HR expenses of an Indian company and its financial performance and is this impact positive enough to motivate these companies to augment such efforts in improving the HR management practices. For, this purpose, data on expenditure on human resource and profit after tax (PAT) for BSE- SENSEX 30 companies was extracted for the period of10 years. In order to test the hypothesis of this study, correlation and regression analyses were performed. Results of correlation revealed that HR expenditures are positively related to Firms performance. The findings from regression analysis revealed that HR expenditure have statistically significant effect on a firm’s financial performance.</p>

<p>This paper examines the importance of psychological testing in personnel selection. Selection is a process of hiring the job applicant who will be most successful in meeting job demands. Poor hiring can be costly to an organisation, thus, they rely on different techniques of selection, testing is the most commonly used. An attempt is made to understand the history of testing, use of testing in selection procedure, and various kinds of test used with main emphasis on the cognitive ability and personality testing. It also attempts to critically analyse some of the issues associated with testing, with emphasis on the validity and utility of tests. The issue of cultural fairness, biases and discrimination has also been explored.</p>

<strong>Purpose:</strong> This paper has been designed to measure the Consciousness Quotient of an individual by means of a questionnaire. Also a correlation between CQ with job performance in organisation is studied. <strong>Result:</strong> This study puts lot of light on concept of Consciousness Quotient. The comprehensive data analysis is been done that helps in understanding the impact of CQ on Job Performance of employees in institutes of higher learning. The present model has been established to see how employees feel connected at work. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The study provides a positive relation and positive impact of Consciousness Quotient on the Job performance of employees working in organisation. To see the impact of variables various statistical techniques like correlation, regression, t-test, Anova have been applied in the paper.

<p>In Today’s volatile environment, organizations are facing emerging challenges in the form of Competitive advantage. Human resources are the assets for an organisation. These assets play a major role towards enhancing the performance of a company. HRM Practices facilitate the development of completeness among the company employees that are specific to an organisation. Strategic HRM focuses on the setting up of a causal link between the overall strategic objectives of an organisation and its HR strategy and its implementation. This research concludes that there exists a positive relationship between good HR practices and business performance. The understanding of casual linkage between the SHRM practices and organisational performance of business enables the HR managers to design programmes that would lead to better operational results. It also helps the organisation to perform better and achieve higher goals. In this paper, the concept that human resources are an important source of competitive advantages has been emphasised. Thereafter, SHRM is defined. Specific examples from academic researchers have been considered to emphasise the influence of SHRM practices on the performance of an organisation. The conclusion reached is that the way an organisation manages, and sustains its human resources has a remarkable relationship with its performance and achievements.</p>
