Despite the booming market of fresh food, the fresh e-commerce platform holds only a limited market share, owing to the lack of habitual usage of these platforms. This article explores the determinants of purchase intention when using a fresh e-commerce platform. The integrated technology acceptance model (Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology [UTAUT]) is employed as the framework. A questionnaire survey was conducted and is analyzed using the structural equation model. We find that both performance expectancy and social influence have a significantly positive effect on consumers’ purchase intention using fresh e-commerce platforms, while perceived risk has a significantly negative effect. Perceived trust plays a mediating role between performance expectancy and purchase intention, social influence and purchase intention, as well as perceived risk and purchase intention. In addition, food safety awareness is a moderator between perceived trust and purchase intention.

FinTech is considered as a need for modern financial methods to compete with traditional financial methods. The combination of innovation, technology and finance develop a unique method that could be a source of economic development in developing countries. Modern technologies are essential to recognize the user attitude, behaviour and intentions towards FinTech. Hence, the key objective of the study is to investigate the user attitude and intentions towards the adoption of FinTech in Bangladesh. Under the light of the Technology Acceptance Model and Theory of Planned Behaviour, the following study used Perceived Trust, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Compatibility, Perceived Cost Efficiency and Perceived Risk as an independent variable towards attitude and intentions of the users towards FinTech products. The study collected data from 450 FinTech users from Bangladesh and the proposed relationship among variables were measured by Structural Equation Model by using SMART-PLS. The research findings will benefit FinTech operators to create more customized services for local consumers.

This study examines the applicability of an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) that incorporates trust, perceived risk, and self-enhancement as antecedents to the TAM constructs. Data collected from 299 Vietnamese online consumers, through a self-administered survey, were entered into a structural equation model using AMOS 23 to establish causality. The results partially confirm the applicability of TAM to the online shopping intentions of Vietnamese consumer, though contrary to expectations, perceived ease of use does not predict behavioral intentions. Trust and self-enchantment fit well with the TAM; the inclusion of perceived risk as an antecedent is questionable. The findings offer new opportunities for explaining TAM theory in light of Schwartz's value dimensions. This article thus concludes with a discussion of the research contributions and implications.

Fashion companies are trying to increase the efficiency of their communication with consumers by providing information on sustainable activities or product levels. This study explored the effects of the perceived sustainability level of products offered by sports brands. An online survey was conducted of consumers in their 20s and 30s, and a total of 316 questionnaires were used for the analysis. The structural equation model analysis using AMOS showed that the perceived sustainability level had a positive effect on purchase intention and a negative effect on perceived skepticism. Furthermore, perceived skepticism was confirmed to have a negative effect on purchase intention. By verifying the moderating effect of the perceived brand reputation, it was confirmed that the effect of the perceived sustainability level on purchase intention and the influence of the perceived skepticism on purchase intention differ between high and low brand reputation groups. When the perceived brand reputation is high, the perceived sustainability level has only a direct effect on purchase intention, whereas when the perceived brand reputation is low, only the indirect effect of perceived skepticism appears. This study contributes to the literature and practice by verifying that perceived skepticism plays an important role in the purchasing behavior of sustainable products in fashion.

Purpose This study aims to identify the factors which affect Generation Y’s activity in social media (SM) while traveling. It draws on and extends the technology acceptance model (TAM) and social influence theory. It examines the effects of social influence processes (compliance, identification and internalization), perceived enjoyment (PE), perceived risk, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on tourism-related SM activity. Design/methodology/approach The study tested the model with a sample of 420 Polish Y’s who had traveled in the preceding 12 months and used SM. The verification of the hypotheses and the analysis of relationships between the variables were performed using partial least squares structural equation modeling. Findings Out of the four variables of the TAM, only PE has significantly and directly affected Ys’ tourism-related activity in SM. From among the three processes of social influence, only internalization has had a significant impact on the enjoyment of SM use and, consequently, on the SM activity of Generation Y. Research limitations/implications This study covered only Polish Y’s. In the future, the formulated hypotheses should be verified in other generational cohorts, in sub-cohorts of Y’s and in other cultural contexts. Furthermore, limitations include lack of randomization of the survey distribution. Practical implications The presented results show a generational portrait of an increasingly important consumer group on the tourism market in relation to factors affecting their tourism-related activity in SM. Originality/value This is one of few studies (the first in the Central and Eastern Europe context) to examine Generation Y’s adoption of SM in tourism-related activity drawing on and extending the TAM and processes of social influence.

As a new type of public health service product, online medical websites (OMWs) are becoming quite popular. OMWs can address patients’ basic medical problems remotely and give health guidance online. Compared to traditional hospitals, OMWs are more convenient and inexpensive, they can usually provide a better service for patients with poor medical conditions (especially in rural areas), and they also contribute to the rational distribution of medical resources. Therefore, key factors that affect patients’ acceptance of OMWs must be identified to contribute to public health. By integrating perceived risk (PR) and the technology acceptance model (TAM), we proposed a modified TAM and clarified how PR and other factors affect patients’ behavioral intention (BI) towards OMWs. A sample of 245 research participants in China took part in this study and the structural equation model (SEM) was used to test our hypotheses. The results revealed that perceived usefulness (PU) is a positive predictor of BI but has no significant effect on attitude (ATT), while perceived ease of use (PEOU) can affect BI through PU and attitude (ATT). Moreover, trust (TRU) was identified as a mediator of PR and PU/PEOU. Also, the doctor–patient relationship (DPR) was shown to moderate PR and TRU. In order to increase patients’ BI, OMW providers need further innovations to improve patients’ TRU and reduce their PR.

This study investigates the role of perceived ease of use as an intervening variable between two external factors from the technology acceptance model (TAM) and Accounting application (MYOB) usage intention. This paper broadened TAM by enhancing external factors: performance expectancy and effort expectancy. Seventy-nine accounting students responded in this study. Employing Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS) concludes that perceived ease of use fully intercedes the connection between effort expectancy and MYOB usage intention. Besides, perceived ease of use also intervenes the association between performance expectancy and intention to use MYOB accounting application. However, the type of mediation is complimentary mediation. The practical and theoretical implication is discussing in this paper.

This study figured out the factors that influence Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia to adopt a mobile accounting application as a tool to record business transactions and to prepare financial reports. This research applies the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) with two additional variables, namely perceived risk and perceived trust. Using a combination of purposive, convenience, and snowball sampling techniques, this study distributed questionnaires to MSME owners in Indonesia who know the mobile accounting app. Following that, this study uses the Partial Least Square- Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data obtained and to confirm the significance of the causality relationship. Effort expectancy, performance expectancy, social influence, and perceived trust have a significant positive effect on the intention to adopt a mobile accounting app.  The study provides knowledge of the factors that influence MSME owners' intentions to choose a mobile accounting app which might help app providers to develop strategies to meet the expectation of MSME owners. This study merely examines the intention to adopt a mobile accounting app, hence further study could examine the user's intention to continue using the mobile accounting app, by using the longitudinal data collection.

Abstract Technology advancements have given rise to a new labor market mechanism known as elancing, where people could purchase freelance services through online sites. Following the trend, Mahajasa as a freelance marketplace startup has to compete with other existing competitors in Indonesia. Established for a year, fluctuating revenue and unknown intention of buying is incurred. Mahajasa aims for SMEs and students across Indonesia. But some recent studies stated that SMEs in Indonesia are reluctant to accept new technology since most marketplaces are in the adoption stage. This study's main objective is Understanding the most influential factors of purchase intention in buying services from freelance marketplace or freelance social media using UTAUT model. The research concluded 386 respondents from Indonesia who had used elancing platforms aged 15-44 years old and analyzed using SmartPLS. The result showed performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and perceived trust has a positive impact on purchase intention. While perceived trust has a partial mediating role between performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence to purchase intention.
