This article investigates the relationship between experiential quality and behavioural intention of the consumers towards banking services during the pandemic situation. The study also examines the role of experiential satisfaction as a moderator between experiential quality and behavioural intentions. The data are collected through a self-administered structured questionnaire from 560 account holders of public sector banks in India. The data are analysed using PLS-SEM to find the empirical results of the study. The results indicate that the experiential quality positively and significantly influence the behavioural intention of the consumers towards banking services during the crises. Moreover, it is also revealed that experiential satisfaction moderate the relationship between experiential quality and behavioural intention of consumers in public sector banks.

The main objective of the underline study is to examine the influence of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) on financial and non-financial performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the moderating role of access to finance. Because SMEs—due to fair reasons such as lack of resources and lack of managerial skill—are often unable to succeed in their mission, the managers look for much less risky and convenience factors to compete in the market. A variety of factors has been tested but the role of finance in this perspective has received minor attention. Hence, the underline study tested finance as a moderator between firm resources and their performance. To test the model, a structured questionnaire is used to collect data from 326 Pakistani SMEs. Structural equation modelling in AMOS is used to test the hypotheses. Our finding suggests that EO significantly enhances SME’s financial and non-financial performance in emerging economies. On the other hand, access to finance significantly moderates the relationship between EO and SME’s financial performance while it is not significantly moderating between EO and non-financial performance. This research recommends policymakers and practitioners to focus on accessing adequate finance while Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Authority encourages banks and financial institutions to facilitates SMEs. Furthermore, the possible implications have been discussed.

PurposeThis study aims to explore the effect of social media engagement on the determinants of behavioural intention. Specifically, the authors empirically research the three behavioural intention determinants, namely, attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control (PBC), and confirm their effect on students' intention to enrol on a university online programme.Design/methodology/approachA conclusive research analysis is followed, and a moderation analysis is conducted to test the hypotheses of the model. Empirical evidence from 201 students in the UK higher education is used and a structural equation modelling approach is followed.FindingsThe findings suggest a significant effect of social media engagement on attitude, subjective norms and PBC. The latter three are confirmed as determinants of the intention to enrol on a university online programme. Mindfulness is found to positively moderate the effect of the three determinants on behavioural intention.Originality/valueThis study advances knowledge pertaining to the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) by highlighting the effect of social media engagement on the determinants of the intention to enrol on a university online programme. Additionally, the moderating role of mindfulness is also tested with regards to its effect on the relationship between behavioural intentions and its determinants.

This study examined an integrated model encompassing supervisor undermining, experienced compassion, state optimism, regulatory emotional self-efficacy, and job engagement using the affective event theory. We tested the propensity toward supervisor undermining as an environmental factor to trigger a compassionate response in the workplace, viewing the resulting effects of compassion as a form of job engagement. We also examined the mediating role of state optimism in the relationship between experienced compassion and job engagement, and the moderating role of regulatory emotional self-efficacy between experienced compassion and state optimism. We collected data in four-time lags from 406 nurses in public sector hospitals in Pakistan. The findings indicate that supervisor undermining triggers compassionate responses in the workplace. Furthermore, the results show that experienced compassion in the workplace increases job engagement, which is mediated through state optimism. Regulatory emotional self-efficacy moderated the relationship between experienced compassion and state optimism. Implications and future directions are highlighted.

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between employees commitment and leadership styles along with the moderating role of organizational politics in public sector universities of KPK. The researcher adopted a deductive approach with cross-sectional research design and used a quantitative methodology. Stratified random sampling has been used with an objective to ensure effective representation of the selected population. Responses from the participants were collected through a pre-structured questionnaire, which was then analyzed through the SPSS data analysis tool by using different statistical methods including descriptive statistics analysis, regression analysis, and inter-variables correlation analysis. Findings of the study show that organizational politics positively moderates the relationship of transformational and democratic style of leadership with commitment of employees. It is also provided that the stus findings would serve as a foundation for future researchers to conduct studies on the given topic in the future.

Adaptation level theory of tinnitus and neuropsychological theory of tinnitus are extensively used frameworks for understanding emotional and psychological distress among tinnitus sufferers. Objective of the present study was to investigate potential associations between hearing loss, tinnitus, anxiety, depression, and stress. The Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (Newman, Jacobson, & Spitzer, 1996) and the Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995)scales were administered to a sample of 110 tinnitus outpatients recruited from Audiology departments of Lahore and Rawalpindi hospitals. Results revealed tinnitus was positively linked with psychological problems. Additionally, it was established that tinnitus is a positive significant predictor for anxiety, stress and depression. The moderation models related to the interactions between psychological problems and hearing loss were negative significant predictors for tinnitus symptoms. Moreover, the comparative analysis between gender differences revealed a significant diversity in the levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Results also elucidated that patients at initial stages of hearing loss were more prone towards reporting tinnitus symptoms along with emerging psychological problems.
