The incremental digital PID technology and pressure regulating technology are adopted for this thermostat. The results show that it can be better stabilize the temperature and can control the residuals between ±1 degrees Celsius. The experiment in transformation between solid and liquid of ice is designed on this basis. By changing the temperature and specific area, the law about melting time and rate between temperature and specific area is discussed and the proper empirical equations are obtained by using the MATLAB. Finally the result is that temperature and specific area can influence the process with power function relationship.

Characteristic points of the law of motion were determined based on the results of experimental study on the velocities and accelerations of the lifted barbell. Relationship between the height of the athlete, lifted weight, maximal velocity and acceleration was estimated analytically. It was shown, that at the initial time moment the athlete must apply approximately 1,5 times larger force than lifted weight. The values of the parameters of the barbell’ law of motion and lifting force approximate law of change were estimated.

This paper presents the experimental investigation on the operational performances of a Boiler after a Low NOx burner retrofit. After the retrofit, several operational performances emerge a major change, including the unburned combustible in flying ash raise under higher load, the temperature of reheat steam drop greatly under lower load. As a result, the changes have an influence on the economy of boiler. As for it, a special experimental study was carried out to obtain the best operating mode, and the law of change on the several parameters. The research results are a significant reference to retrofit involved in Low NOx burner utilized to a boiler.

The aim of this study is to investigate how modifications of reporting verbs, modality, style and use of quotation marks in an authentic police report can lead to different interpretations by two groups of trainee police officers. Data was collected through an experiment in a classroom setting, where police trainees discussed two versions of the same police report in focus group discussions. The trainees’ statements were categorised into three themes: impression of the victim, impression of the accused, and assessment of the situation's severity. The results show that modifications such as formal or informal choice of words and the use of scare quotes proved to be influential linguistic modifications. In contrast, variation of reporting verbs and modality appeared less significant. The two versions of the text created different impressions of both the victim and the accused, and the interpretations of the severity of the situation depicted in the text varied between the two trainee groups. This highlights the importance of further study of the linguistic constructions of victims and perpetrators in police texts, in order to ensure credibility and equality before the law.

1. The retarding effect of plasma on the action of trypsin can be measured quantitatively. 2. The nature of the reaction involved in effecting the retardation has been subjected to an experimental study. 3. Evidence is presented which indicates that the equilibrium between the inhibitive agent and trypsin is reached practically instantaneously and is rapidly and completely reversible. 4. This equilibrium has been studied by experiments in which we have observed (1) the effect of adding increasing amounts of plasma to a constant amount of trypsin, (2) the effect of varying the amount of trypsin while the plasma was constant, (3) the effect of dilution on the trypsin-plasma mixture. 5. The results of these experiments are discussed and it is stated that they are in quantitative agreement with the law of mass action. 6. An equation was found which fits the curves for the experiments mentioned in (4). This equation was developed from the assumption that 1 molecule of trypsin combined with 1 molecule of inhibitor to form 1 molecule of trypsin-inhibitor compound. The agreement between the results calculated by this equation and the observed results is satisfactory. It is pointed out that the equation contains two arbitrary constants and the bearing this fact may have on the calculated results is discussed. 7. We conclude from the results of our study that we have adduced evidence which suggests the following statement regarding the so called "antitryptic" property of blood. The inhibitive agent and trypsin combine to form an inactive but dissociable compound. The reaction in equilibrium is expressed by the equation Trypsin + inhibitor ⇌ trypsin-inhibitor The conditions of equilibrium are apparently governed by the law of mass action. The behavior of the equilibrium is therefore similar to the behavior of other equilibria between different inhibitive agents and enzymes discussed in the paper.

The article discusses the results of experimental research of the impact of the law of profiling along the stage height on the characteristics of a turbine with an adjustable nozzle guide vanes. The results of the design study have been confirmed, taking into account meridional streamline bending. It is shown that in the stage profiled according to the law of constancy of the product of the radius of the flow path and the tangent of the blade angle the degree of reactivity in the root sections of the blades increases provided that the degree of reactivity at the middle diameter is the same as in a turbine with a constant blade angle, which leads to an increase in the turbine efficiency in modes with a reduced angle of arrangement of blades of the adjustable nozzle guide vanes and the degree of pressure reduction.
