The Retail Chain Enterprises implement the strategy of channel to sink to set up shops in third and fourth cities. A reasonable and scientific choice of order of priority must be made when the enterprises entering those cities. This article adopts the approach of the Factor Analysis and duster Analysis the analysis 72 cities (including county-level cities) according to purchasing power index, and to explore how Retail Chain Enterprises to make the market of third and fourth their cities in Guangdong province. The conclusion that is the order of decision ——making to enter into the third and fourth tier cities, which has important guiding significance.

PurposeRobots, as the crystallization of new artificial intelligence, are being applied in various fields, especially the hotel industry. They are seizing the opportunities, using technology to improve the overall quality and comprehensive competitiveness. However, they also cause many problems due to practical limitations. The purpose of this paper is to study customers' recognition and acceptance of hotel service robots to guide the successful promotion of this technology.Design/methodology/approachThis paper proposed a comprehensive model based on the theory of planned behavior, the technology acceptance model and then the perceived value-based acceptance model. Exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, grouped regression analysis and path analysis was adopted to validate the impacts of each variable to obtain the final reliable model using data collected from hotel guests using a self-designed questionnaire.FindingsThe empirical research based on the theoretical model shows that the constructed conceptual model can thoroughly explain the influencing factors of hotel robot acceptance, enrich the acceptance theory and provide academic support for the use and popularization of hotel service robots. Among all variables, attitude, usefulness and perceived value are the factors that have the greatest impact on acceptance. They have significant differences in the effects of adjustment variables such as gender, educational level, whether hotel robots have been used, and whether other robot services have been experienced on different paths in the model.Practical implicationsThis paper explored the customer acceptance of service robots in hotels, helped to understand the process of decision-making on service robot selection and contributed to the theoretical extension of the hospitality industry. The work guides hotel management to promote better-personalized products and services of robot technology in the hospitality industries.Originality/valueThe acceptance study on hotel service robots provides insight into the hotel industry to understand customers' attitudes and acceptance of emerging technology.

This study is part of a project investigating school heads’ practices and factors influencing them. The dearth of empirical research on school heads’ practices, their perceived stressfulness and how enjoyable practices performed are necessitated this study. School heads’ practices were examined using a convenient sample of senior high school heads and assistants in Ghana with appropriate statistical tools (exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and multinomial logistics regression). The findings revealed 22 activities that defined school heads’ practices. Regarding those activities, ‘organising information sessions with parents’ and ‘cooperating with organisations’ were least performed while activities related to counselling and administration, which were perceived as stressful, were performed equally. In total, practices perceived as stressful and enjoyable were performed more, while practices enjoyed significantly influenced the performance of practices in general. In practice, the knowledge of stressful and enjoyable practices guarantees the initiation of a suitable coping strategy than being ignorant, thereby improving school leadership and the health of school heads.

The purpose of this study is to determine restaurant service quality. The aims are to: (a) assess customers’ expectations and perceptions, (b) establish the significance of difference between perceived and expected service quality, (c) identify the number of dimensions for expectations and perceptions scales of modified DINESERV model, (d) test the reliability of the applied DINESERV model. The empirical research was conducted using primary data. The questionnaire is based on Stevens et al. (1995) and Andaleeb and Conway’s (2006) research. In order to meet survey goals, descriptive, bivariate and multivariate (exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis) statistical analyses were conducted. The empirical results show that expectations scores are higher than perceptions scores, which indicate low level of service quality. Furthermore, this study identified seven factors that best explain customers’ expectations and two factors that best explain customers’ perceptions regarding restaurant service. The results of this study would help management identify the strengths and weaknesses of service quality and implement an effective strategy to meet the customers’ expectations.

How to choose the attributes of service quality have become the foundation and the key for researches of service quality. In connection with the current situation and characteristics of the existing e-commerce service quality evaluation, we analyze the advantages and shortcomings of the widely used way, which is combining item-to-total correlation and factor analysis to reduce our service attribute scale. Then a method of neighborhood granulation and rough approximation for numerical attribute reduction is proposed. With the comparison of the two methods through specific examples of empirical research data, the validity and superiority of the application of neighborhood model for numerical attribute reduction are verified.

This paper based on the related data to fresh agricultural products circulation ability of 14 cities in Hunan province, applying for the factor analysis model, in order to reveal the important factor and regional differences of fresh agricultural products circulation ability. The results suggest that: from the perspective of the overall of Hunan province, GDP and per GDPPC have the most influences on fresh agricultural products circulation ability; for the different areas of the circulation ability, the effect of the same factors is different; from the time level, the circulation capacity of fresh agricultural products in Hunan province showed a trend of increasing year by year. In terms of space, the different cities have the different the circulation ability of fresh agricultural products.
