Currently, the studies on sexual abuse trauma, and resilience in Confucian survivors are still limited. The purpose of this study is to explore the resilience of Confucian women after sexual abuse trauma to provide evidence to support in counseling and psychotherapy practices. The article describes the resiliency story of a Vietnamese Confucian female survivor who was abused by her brother from the age of 8 to 16. The life history approach used in qualitative narrative research was applied in this study. The researcher identified two factors that strongly influence the survivor’s resilience: (1) the effectiveness of passive education in the general education curriculum is oriented to both competence and quality development; and (2) an authentic understanding of the core Confucian philosophical doctrine: the neutrality and the self-nurture. Based on the findings, we propose a 7-stage flow diagram of a Confucian women's resilience following sexual abuse. These findings provide a new approach to psychological counseling for female survivors of any religion by using Confucian philosophy and contribute to the impact of studies on religious and spiritual factors affecting the resilience of sexual abuse survivors.

Within the framework of an international research project aimed at studying the impact of different cultural settings on gerotranscendent development, six groups of older people distinguished by religiosity and cultural origin were studied. A life history approach, followed by thematic semi-structured interviews, was applied. One of the objectives was to inquire about the possible impact of religion, conceived of as a cultural setting, on development towards gerotranscendence. The findings of this inquiry gave rise to two hypotheses as to the relationship between gerotranscendence and religiosity. The first hypothesis is that the internalisation of mystical-type ideas in individuals' ways of thinking is probably a factor involved in the development of a gerotranscendent view of life. In other words, whether individuals practice their ‘religion’ in a spiritual, nonorganisational way, or in an organisational way, may play a role for development towards gerotranscendence. The second hypothesis is that certain characteristics, such as the secular and individualistic features of modern societies, may delay development towards gerotranscendence.

Using factor model and fixed or random effect approaches, this article studies the factors affecting the rate of return on the stocks listed on the Vietnamese stock market. The results show that the rate of return is affected by the two factors: inflation and the Nikkei index as an indicator of regional economy. The impact of inflation is much more powerful. The strongest impact of the unexpected inflation is found in industrial sector and consumption while enterprises with good business performance only suffer a milder effect. The impact of Nikkei index on local stocks is rather weak but less dispersed.

The main aim of this research is to measure the impact of domestic Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As) on firm's performance and to determine M&As success and failure factors (i.e. weight efficiency, difference in efficiency, return on assets and return on equity) in the whole Egyptian market. The researchers used two-stage analysis; Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) in the first step and censored regression technique (Tobit model) in the second step for sample of 21 firms listed in the Egyptian stock market (EGX) for 23 operations within the period from 2003 to 2015. The research found that there is enhancement in performance efficiency post M&As in both financial and non-financial sectors. The results showed significant relationship between both ROA and ROE with M&As performance efficiency indicating that these two factors are the most success factors affecting M&As performance efficiency. Results found that there is insignificant relationship between difference in efficiency and M&As performance efficiency.

The study is carried out to achieve the following objectives: Identify the factors affecting the spontaneous purchasing behavior of consumers at stores of the Bach Hoa Xanh system in Ho Chi Minh City. around the original factors: In-store atmosphere, promotions and shopping emotions; Measure the influence of the identified factors; Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, the study surveyed 213 customers who have experienced shopping at stores of the Bach Hoa Xanh chain in Ho Chi Minh City by convenient sampling method. With the support of SPSS software version 22 and Amos version 20, the author carried out the steps of descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and linear structural analysis (SEM). Research results have shown two factors that have a direct impact on the spontaneous purchasing behavior of Bach Hoa Xanh consumers in Ho Chi Minh City, including: Promotions (standardized regression coefficient of 0.170) and shopping sentiment (standardized regression coefficient reached 0.478). The dependent variable shopping emotion is affected by 2 independent factors: Atmosphere at the store and promotions. The impact of these two factors is quite strong, reaching 0.627 and 0.336, respectively. Atmosphere factor at the store does not directly affect spontaneous purchasing behavior but indirectly through the mediated variable shopping emotion. All accepted hypotheses reached the 95% confidence level. The author's research will be a source of documents and information for managers of the Bach Hoa Xanh chain in Ho Chi Minh City to adjust business strategies to suit each business period.

Promoting self-determination has been identified as best practice in special education and transition services and as a means to promote goal attainment and access to the general education curriculum for students with disabilities. There have been, however, limited evaluations of the effects of interventions to promote self-determination on outcomes related to access to the general education curriculum. This article reports findings from a cluster or group-randomized trial control group study examining the impact of intervention using the Self-Determined Learning Model of Instruction on students’ academic and transition goal attainment and on access to the general education curriculum for students with intellectual disability and learning disabilities. Findings support the efficacy of the model for both goal attainment and access to the general education curriculum, though students varied in the patterns of goal attainment as a function of type of disability.

Inferential readings skills are necessary in ensuring that students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are successful in the general education curriculum. These skills provide a foundation for reading comprehension across content areas. Technology-aided instruction and intervention (TAII) has the potential to address these reading deficits, by presenting content in an interactive format. Using an adapted alternating treatment design (ATD), the present study compared the impact of the TinyTap app, videos, and traditional graphic organizers to improve the inferential reading skills of two middle school students with ASD. Replication of the most effective intervention occurred, and maintenance data were collected. The results suggested that the TinyTap treatment condition was the most functionally effective in increasing inferential reading skills. From the research, there are a number of implications moving forward for both practitioners and future researchers examining the impact of TAII on academic skills.

AbstractThe Present study focuses on the impact of various factors on the growth of wind power generation in seven most wind energy prone states of India, that contain 97 % of India’s total wind power potential. The impact of state-wise policy parameters Feed-in Tariff (FIT) rate, Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO) and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) are evaluated in terms of aggregate policy indices that indicate the likelihood of wind power deployment in that state, through multivariate statistical analysis. The wind energy technology with reference to wind turbine specific policies, scaling of the project, the impact of hybrid policy, grid-related technological advancements and the improvement of capacity utilization factor (CUF) are discussed. Further, the impact of per capita net domestic product (PCNDP) and power demand-supply scenario are assessed. It was found that these two factors are non-influential on wind power growth. The outcome of the present study is that aggregate policy indices, captive/third party use of feasibility, presence of repowering policy, actual CUF obtained at the location, delay in cash flow and total available power potential are the factors that significantly influence the growth of cumulative installed capacity. This study provides an insight for policymakers for a quantitative assessment of the existing policies along with other factors and assists the project developers to compare and identify suitable locations for wind power projects in the near future. The exchange rate of 1 USD ($) = 69.38 INR (₹) has been taken throughout the manuscript.
